I had recently purchased a GG Marmont bag from here and unfortunately since it was made of a woven material, it started to unravel after just a few uses. I was devastated! At union square winter walk, supporting for work, and after about 2 hours of helping out I decided to pop into Gucci. I hadn't seen anyone walk in the entire time I'd been nearby and lots of folks I work with wear Gucci. I tend to do more Missoni, Hermes, and more mid range stuff like Tiffany's or Tori Burch - but I was feeling into it so I thought I'd pop in and see what they had. So many employees working, all stoic, looking very serious and unhappy, and no customers. Only me. I walk in to the left and immediately get told by the door guard that I cannot walk on the side of the room that I did, so I apologized and walked to the right side of the case that was in the middle of the aisle. No idea why, but ok. Then I go to the back of the store where there are more locked glass cabinets. 2 employees - no one says hi, I just feel their stares burning on me. So I was over that, and decided to look at shoes. There was a beautiful pair of red pumps - I picked them up and 2 employees descended on me instantly and asked what do you need. I was dressed comfortable but nicely, an outfit apropos for being outside at the event - Missoni scarf, nice shoes and jewelry. All that said, it shouldn't matter what someone looks like or dresses like, we should always be inclusive and kind. It was well within my intent to get some form of Gucci accent - a tennis shoe, a belt - something. Wouldn't have made their sales for the day, but I was planning to buy. However, no more - I'll take my money down the way to YSL, or maybe over to Louis Vuitton. Or make it go a lot farther and grab some stuff from Tori Burch next door. Do better. read more

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. I'm absolutely appalled by how the SF Gucci store handled a simple repair for my $3,000 glasses. Want to know how basic the issue was? A SINGLE MISSING SCREW. That's it. Instead of fixing this 2-minute problem, they forced me to leave my glasses with them, shipping them off to some warehouse. Then they had the audacity to make me wait THREE WEEKS just to tell me they "couldn't fix them." Really, Gucci? Gucci was an interesting experience to say the very least. I understand the sentiment of precautions in Union Square but when I mention how I wouldn't want to carry a $3100 purse around this area and the security guard says that it's about lifestyle and for the past year there's not much to be concerned or worried about and he followed me around the store; there is definitely much to worry about if I did purchase that hot pink leather handbag that I had my eyes on but didn't even ask to feel it because of how I was made to feel: watched, small, and inadequate. Sure seems counterintuitive carrying a luxurious lifestyle purse worth more than my car since I was followed around in the store. Therefore Gucci didn't feel welcoming even after I mentioned right off the bat how I was wearing my Gucci necklace and how my late grandmother had an entire collection that went eventually into a garage and got mildew all over her entire vintage Gucci purse collection that she owned. Not interested in shopping at Gucci again unless a friend is dying to check it out. I'd rather purchase my Gucci, that is if I do again purchase a Gucci necklace, from a discount store like TJMaxx. This Gucci is in a prime location, right next to Union Square and other stores. I wanted to pop in and see if they had a ring I've been wanting for a long time. They don't have my size (in general, as the sizing for THIS ring stops @ 18 and I'm usually a 19. Ie my Gucci ghost ring is a 19) but I've been losing some weight so I wanted to try my luck and see if their biggest size fit me. Welp, I found one that fit me and it was 2 sizes down from what I thought my size was. When I saw that ring on my finger, it was an immediate yes. The transaction was smooth and we even had some small talk with a customer! My Gucci advisor, Edna, was super nice, she was accommodating and understood where I was coming from and what I needed. One fabulous 2022 splurge assisted by Fernando is a black GG star doctor's bag I picked up. It was a gift to myself for finishing 3rd semester of my doctorates program. They rarely make these and had 2 in the store, zero online. I absolutely love it. Different piece from all the others I have. This store is so fun to shop in. The 2 stories is great with women's bags on both floors. Every Gucci I've bought, I've gotten from here. They completely revamped the place. Fantastic experience. I was a little worried about coming into union square but I made an appointment and was able to go upstairs and look at purses in private. I wanted to see particular purses but was open to suggestions and think my sales woman did the best job. I ended up with something I adore and got great feedback on different purses and styles. The woman was rude and glib, she tried to tell me the hair clip I was buying wasn't a hair clip (it was styled on your website as such) and refused to let me try it on Dropped so much money but never going back. I bought a belt, but incorrectly sized myself and needed to exchange it and Dee was absolutely delightful to work with! Her enthusiasm for her job and care for the details and customer experience was so apparent right from the start. She was able to help me exchange the belt, gave great input/guidance, and overall I'm so glad I had the opportunity to work with her! This rate could "have been better' if the sales associate named Peter /Jimin Shin was helpful and kind enough but he wasn't. Peter could have done better by suggesting the right shoe size to get but instead, he just look at me, only talks when I asked questions but his answers are not thorough enough . He answers "yes" and no suggestions given at all regarding (on the best shoe size I should be getting knowing its a leather shoes). He saw me having a hard time deciding on what size fits me better but he was very busy looking at the phone he was holding. Came back at the store 3 times for the same issue (purchased the wrong size) just because Jimin Shin couldn't be bothered. Exchanges could have been avoided if he knows his job well and learns to be sensitive enough when it comes to the needs of his client(s). by the way, the shoes cost over 900 dollars and I received it with some stains on the insole and the box was damaged.There was even a foreign hair on the shoes which I know I don't own. Horrible customer service. Although the lady I was in contact with about my repair was a kind woman, the way my repair was handled was absolutely one of the worst experiences I've had- I can't believe this is considered luxury retail... I brought my bag in to drop off for repair as the handle had broken off (please keep in mind this bag is always kept in its dust bag and is in great condition). One night I just noticed it had popped off. I was in a bit of a rush, but they took down my information and said that I'd hear from them next week with an update, but gave me an estimate 5-7 weeks, assuming the repair could be done. After two weeks of not hearing back and untimely replies to messages, I gave my repair rep a call who said it *WASNT IN THE SYSTEM*. I had to remind her what we spoke about in order for her to remember. She then entered it in the system and said it'd take 6-8 weeks- longer than initially quoted- but oh well, I was at least thankful that my bag situation was sorted and it was going to be fixed. Not the case. I get a call from the repair rep that "good news, since they can't repair it we're willing to give you a credit for the amount of the bag to put towards a new bag". Um, no thank you. I purchased the bag in europe for much less than I would've purchased in the US, meaning I can't even get the bag I want without paying more out of pocket. As soon as I started speaking to clarify, she said she was almost off her shift but just wanted to give me a quick call and that she'd call me tomorrow. She never called. A couple weeks later I go into the store after not hearing anything because I wanted to pick up my bag and see if somewhere else could repair the handle. And you know what they said? They'd be happy to refer me to repair shops they know of. Excuse me, what? How is it that your in house repair team that you ship items to can't fix this but you can refer me somewhere where I have to pay to get it done? All this to say, if you're paying a lot for a bag, you'd expect them to take care of the client and fix the problem. I have never had any other purse handle break off (a top handle that I don't even use since I use my cross body strap). It has been over a month since this saga ended and it still makes me upset. When I arrived, I met a gentleman who said they couldn't help provide the service, which made me worry and confuse. Juffar interjected and double checked for me. He called someone in the back to see what they could do and took care of me. In addition, he was very detailed oriented when he was processing my request to customer service. He went ABOVE and BEYOND. When I return, I will select/ask for him and I recommend you do so if you decide to shop at this location. I've been off Yelp since 2008 (15 years). What's compelled me to rejoin Yelp again? Gucci's horrible customer experience. Back on Thanksgiving 2022, I purchase the Gucci x Adidas Gazelle collab. I patiently waited for 3 months for them, even visiting the store in January to inquire about the status. They informed me that there was a delay due to supply chain issues. Fast forward to Feb 7, when I received and email to pay for the shoes. I was so overjoyed! Once I paid, I received an email that mentioned I would receive a call or email from the SF Flagship (where I was having them delivered), once they arrived. This past Monday, I received an email from Gucci with a refund. What happened? I called the Customer Service line and they mentioned that I was a no-show and refunded and sold my shoes. I looked through my emails, phone bill (calls and voicemail history) to see if had received any notification from Gucci that they have arrived. Nada. I mentioned to the Customer Service rep that I'd like to know what happened, since I never received any notifications that my shoes had arrived. The CS rep said she'd have a Manager from the store call me. Fast forward to today (Wednesday), when I called the CS line again and was hung up on twice, and transferred to an infinitely ringing phone call (apparently whomever they tried to transfer me to, did set up their voicemail). I'm so upset with this entire experience. There's no accountability on anyone's part. I paid for a pair of shoes that I never received and not one person has told me why I wasn't informed when they arrived. I work in Advertising/Marketing and brand loyalty is everything. I was a loyal customer of the Kering Group and have purchased countless pairs of Gucci, Balenciaga, and Saint Laurent shoes and purses. Not anymore. I'll spend my hard earned money on LV brands instead. I see a Loewe puzzle purse in my future and I'll used my refunded money to purchase it. If you're black, do not go to this store. The customer service is terrible, you will be followed around like you're some criminal without any assistance to view the items you're interested in, and the staff will alienate your presence the entire time. The associates barely want to make conversation to assist you with shopping, they prioritize and dote on other consumers despite following you throughout the store. Aren't willing to show you pieces you are interested in as if you're going to try to run off with them or not purchase the item and waste their time. We weren't greeted upon entering the store and when we ran across other associates they ignored us as well. We were looked at like outsiders the entire time and it made the shopping experience very uncomfortable. We were shopping for my bday and I had planned to buy at least two pairs of shoes but the situation led to me deciding I would shop at Louis instead. My fiance and I wanted to use the elevator to return back to the bottom level of the store and the lead of the store had tried to discourage us from taking the elevator. Since my fiance is disabled we insisted and were met with another couple shopping inside of it as well as a store associate. When the elevator opened the associate and couple went completely silent to stare at us as if we were intruding on their shopping experience. After going into the elevator we decided we would leave the store and not continue our shopping. When my fiancé told the lead of the store how uncomfortable he made the experience for us he brushed it off as how they provide service instead of reassuring us that he was not trying to be discriminatory. Instead we were met with an attitude and dismissal of our experience. If you want to have a luxury shopping experiencing and be treated like other customers, I recommend visiting Louie across the street and receiving the service you deserve. read more

My customer service rep Kwok was rude and unfriendly, clearly rushing me out. She was only nice when I was checking out at the register. I tried the tights I'd purchased on when I got home and they immediately ripped open. This store will not respond to calls or emails to fix the situation. I am shocked that $130 tights are so poor quality and that the customer service is even worse. A Gucci client services rep on the main phone line told me to mail the tights back for a refund or replacement, as I do not live close enough to visit the store again. I mailed the tights back a week ago and have not heard from the store. No refund, no replacement, and now I don't even have my ripped tights. I will be filing complaints with my credit card and the Better Business Bureau. I will NEVER buy from Gucci again. read more

I recently came here on Veteran's day, and I was pleasantly surprised. The line was not long at all, there was maybe two people ahead of us; therefore, we were able to get in fairly quickly. Security was really nice and upon entering you are immediately greeted by a consultant who will shop with you side-by-side (COVID-19). The lady who helped me was Dee, and she exceeded expectations. I went into the store knowing I wanted men's slides and a certain type of color way. She immediately guided us to the upstairs area where the men's shoes are, and brought out several different designs. Almost immediately upon trying a few out, I was sold on our pair! What horrible customer service! I had a watch on hold and went to pick up with intent to buy today. After trying it on, I decided against that particular watch because the slant of the snake skin design on the strap made the face of the watch look crooked. When I told the salesperson that I wasn't going to buy it, he just snatched it out of my hands and walked away from the counter with no words to us. My friend and I had no idea where he went or if he was coming back. We were confounded. After waiting around a few minutes, we left. He never offered to show me any other watches or to find another one of the same watch that may have had a slightly different slant to the design of the watch band. The whole thing was bizarre. I also noted to myself, as others have, how worn the interior of the store is. This experience definitely makes me think twice about buying Gucci. read more
