The staff are the store are pure garbage. They charge thousands of dollars for their products but then when you reach out to them for any customer service they ghost you entirely. I left them FOUR messages regarding an issue with one of my wife's pair of shoes. We wanted to bring them in and get them repaired. Not so much as one call back. I will never do business with this particular store again and I'm even considering not purchasing Valentino products anymore. We spent $1300 for a pair of shoes and the studs fall off. I doubt they're actually produced in Italy. More like Shanghai China. And then nobody wants to respond and help to fix them. Beware!!! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Let me explain- I bought a purse that I absolutely love. After owning this purse for 3+ years, the lock on my bag broke. I brought it in for repair on October 11th,2019. I was the told the entire process would take 4-6 weeks. After calling often during the first 3 weeks (as I had not received a single update) I was told the process would take longer. On December 2nd, I was told via email that the artisans had finalized the assessment of my request (broken lock?!) and that they were waiting to hear back from the NY office about a replacement lock. After replying to the email on December 2nd asking how much longer the process would take, I never received an answer. After calling again and being told multiple times that the person responsible for the repair is out of house, I wrote another email on January 5th, asking for an update yet again. After emailing back and forth I was finally told on February 1st that my bag was ready for pick up. A process that took over 3.5 months!!!! Let me be clear, I don't mind that the process took longer than expected, but I am immensely disappointed with the lack of communication on Valentino's end. I did not receive enough updates throughout the process. If anything, it was always me reaching out. I went into the store on Saturday February 1st to pick up my bag. The store manager, Kirsten was very nice and waived the repair fee of $45 for me. Now, after I got home and was able to finally look at the repair and I realized that the leather on the right hand side underneath the new lock is now damaged. My bag wasn't returned in the condition I expected it to be in and definitely not returned in the condition it was before the lock repair. I am very picky and take great care of all my things, so anyone who does the same will understand my disappointment. I immediately left a voice message, talked to Conor on Sunday the 2nd asking to talk to the store manager and emailed Valentino and still have not heard back ever since. Will never purchase from Valentino ever again due to lack of communication, lack of care, lack of quality and overall lack of effort. Not a high end brand in my books. read more

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The associates were friendly and professional and were not pushy. The layout of this store is precise and clean. It's 3 stories of heaven. Valentino has a certain way to draw you in, and the way this store is laid out does that. Othent was extremely sweet and pleasant to speak to. Looking for an ever-elusive dress, I came to Valentino hoping they would be my savior........alas, this was not to be the case It was a strange experience entering the shop - very small storefront with handbags & a few dresses as most of their actual stock is found on the upper floors - but an abundance of staff who hesitantly & suspiciously greeted us like, what are you doing here? When I shared details of the dress I was seeking, the staff became a bit nicer & after quizzing me where I had actually seen this "supposed" dress & eventually believing my story, they became nicer still We were told they didn't have it in stock currently but it might be in their "bible".....which is their sales-ordering-inventory-catalog So we were escorted on the elevator to the dress floor & I took a quick peek to see if anything else caught my fancy..... but I was really just on a mission for this particular dress See......I'd already purchased the dress from Selfridges but it didn't fit, so I really wanted to try on the next size, before investing more credit card availability.....not to mention avoiding more overseas shipping costs So we came back downstairs & would you believe, they *are* ordering the print of the dress I'm seeking but alas, it's in a different style.....boo! So it's online or nothing if I want this gem of an adorable dress. The moment I walked into the store, Daisy (Chen) greeted me and asked me what I wanted to look at. I came to Valentino with a very specific purpose: to buy a pair of iconic rockstud heels to wear on my wedding day. I didn't know which color I wanted though, and Daisy immediately took me up to the second floor where they display the shoe collection. She was patient, attentive and very nice when showing us the different colors and brought out every color in my size for me to try on. She also offer some expert opinions, which I appreciated. Even after we decided on THE pair and I wanted to try on another style "for fun," she was extremely accommodating. Also, they didn't have the pair I wanted in my size at the store, so Daisy ordered it and followed up with me over text the next week about the status--even going as far as providing me with the tracking number for the delivery. It arrived in perfect condition in the iconic red Valentino shopping bag, which Daisy kindly promised me she would include with the mail delivery. Overall, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at luxury stores, and I'd like to thank Daisy for all her help in my search for the perfect wedding shoes! read more

Came here to buy something for my wife. It was a bag of a specific design and color. They didn't have it in the store. The sales lady checked her computer for inventory for quite a while. Then she made a few calls, to no avail. I was getting impatient waiting there, and frustrated when the time seemed wasted. She took down my contact, which I thought was pointless but obliged. Well, three days later the same lady called and said she found the bag that my wife wanted. I was so surprised. Picked it up the next day and was real impressed by how she followed through. High end stores can be hit or miss, with some people being absolutely snobby while others actually providing white glove service. I placed an online order and the shoe did not arrive in perfect condition. So I went in store to do an exchange. The doorman was very nice and was very welcoming. I stood there waiting for someone to help me but they did not smile or greet me and gave me an unwelcoming look. Daisy was the only one that came up to me and was very welcoming and helpful. I was informed that the online site is different from the boutique so she had to send back the pair and order me a new pair. Coming back the second time to pick up my shoe, I was more excited to see the doorman than any of the sale associates. When I entered, one of the many stuck up associate stopped helping a customer and turned and look at me as if I was lost. Unfortunately, Daisy was off that day. I will never come here again if Daisy is not here. If you come here make sure to ask for Daisy! She will make sure your experience is welcoming and positive. I would rate this place with only two stars if it was not for Daisy and the doorman! Ask for Daisy! And shoutout to the nice doorman! FYI there return policy is only 10 days. I called 2 days before we were about to come visit the store to ensure the item I wanted they had it in stock. The women said they did and offered to put it on hold for me. So the day we went they had the shoe on hold for me. Good thing I went in the store because I was thinking of purchasing them online. I am usually a size 6 in US and I was like a size 8 in UK. SO the girl brought out multiple sizes for me to try to ensure it is the right size. If you are planning on buying heels. It would be safe to go in person and try it on. Rudest, most thoughtless staff of any store in SF. A young lady was assaulted by a homeless person right in front of their store on 5/09/15 and store staff not only declined to render aid but ignored her while wiping up blood from their front door. Passersby, staff at other stores across the street and even across the street rendered aid...not Valentino staff. There's a lot of high end stores in Union Square; spend your money at one run by human beings.
