One of a kind. Like stepping back in time, or into Italy...with class, authenticity, friendly greetings, delicious food and intimate ambiance. Don't forget to hit up the ATM across the street before, because like the retro feel you get, it is cash only, BYOB. You walk up to the restaurant feeling like you are in Sardinia or Rome and park at a table outside because it's a summer evening in NJ and you love to people watch. The waiters treat you like friends and/or family. Did you forget to bring your own wine, no problem! You can order from your table and they deliver right to you from the wine bar down the street! The wine shop was super helpful even over the phone! First they bring you super soft Italian bread with garlic olive oil to dip in and toasts with white bean salad, perfection! Then your wine arrives and the waiter opens for you and puts on ice while you order your food. You absolutely need the squash blossoms in your life. I've had a lot of them (it feels like a trending thing lately?) but these were by far the best in recent memory. So tender, so cheesy, they actually melt on the tongue. For my main I got a zucchini pasta with fried zucchini on top and the flavor was perfection! While we were eating Jack the owner came over and serenaded us several times, along with other tables! Then sat and talked with us about the restaurant and his favorite dishes to cook. For dessert we got the pistachio cheesecake which was incredible. So delicate with perfect pistachio flavor. Planning on coming every Friday because I need to be a local at this spot and try every.single.dish.

Enjoyed a good dinner on a Wednesday night before a concert at the Mayo Theatre. We sat inside & service was excellent. Water was always filled & the table cleared appropriately. The place filled up & was very busy. Tables inside were spaced out nicely but outside they appear very tight. Owner was walking around & does not allow baseball hats on your head while dining so my husband was not too thrilled to take his off as his hair was a mess under it. However, the owner allowed his grand-daughter to wear the shortest & tightest shorts at the front desk - that turned us off. For meals we had fried calamari, stuffed zucchini blossoms, bolognese, "braciolole" with pasta, shrimp fry diavo, & ravioli. Out of all those dishes, the only one we did not care for was the blossoms as they were filled w/cheese & took away from the delicateness of the blossom. We had coffee & cannoli's. Desserts are not made in house except the cannoli filling which was delish. Good place -would go back but perhaps sit outside so that my husband can wear his hat!

Second visit here, and once again it was delicious. The rice balls are great, must try. Last visit I had cacio e pepe, and this time the carbonara. Both are great, but the CARBONARA was life changing, I would go back once a week just for that. Cash only but they accept venmo which is nice.

A-ok Italian standards served cheerfully on Morristown's best patio. Pasta dishes about $25, chicken and veal about $30. Bring your own Chianti and cash. The front wall opens wide here so even if you're inside, you're almost outside, which is good for all of us still a bit worried about virus exposure. But everybody wants to be outside and the patio seating is very close together. They start you with an amuse bouche of white beans on toast, a basket of sliced bread and a dish of oil with roasted garlic cloves. We tried the fried zucchini appetizer, thin sticks breaded lightly and fried perfectly, very good, $13. I tried the wild boar papperdelle , a modest portion of wide pasta, lightly sauced and topped with a bit of shredded pork, $25. My dining companion opted for the tagliatelle Bolognese, a fairly standard pasta and meat sauce, $21. Pasta portions here are just right for one person, you're probably not taking any leftovers home. Vegetarian rating: three stars, there's pasta with garlic and pepper, eggplant rollatini, salads, and appetizers like the zucchini or mozzarella. For Tuesday lunch they serve an "Italian taco," which they tell me is a breaded and fried chicken breast in the shape of a shell and filled with all kinds of goodies, have to try that sometime!

And I have eaten enough brisket in my life that writing a review including a reference to pork is probably something I shouldn't do publicly, but his is top notch. Lastly, I come on this site and often see reviews regarding the personal nature of the proprietor of the business, which are sometimes so vicious and misplaced, it is not a mystery why the writers of South Park want to feed some of the members of this site what they want to feed them. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. First, the wait was completely worth it. If you get there early, you can probably avoid the line, but even if you can't, don't let that discourage you. Good food is worth a few extra minutes of patience. As someone who pays attention to the details, I always take a quick look inside food trucks and kitchens when I can. I was genuinely impressed by how clean, organized, and professional everything looked. It's clear they take pride in what they do. Now, let's talk about the food. The fries were fresh and clearly made in-house--not the typical pre-packaged fries you find everywhere else. The steak portions were generous (they definitely don't believe in counting pieces), and the combination of flavors and sauces came together perfectly. Every bite was better than the last. By the time I finished, I was already planning my next visit. There are still several items on the menu I want to try, and if they're anything like what I had, my diet may be in serious trouble. Highly recommended!

I opened up my order as soon as I got home, and enjoyed my meal of steak and chicken over fries. Although I ordered my steak medium, it was well done and a bit rough. Otherwise, my overall experience would have easily been 5 stars. The chicken was tender and the sauces over the fries and meat packed a flavorful punch. I will return and order the steak at an even lighter temperature which I'm sure while bring my meal to a 5 star experience!

Over the last several years, Morristown has seen an influx of several new casual and not-so-casual…read moreMexican and TexMex restaurants.. seemingly replacing the numerous frozen yogurt outlets that were the subject of an earlier culinary trend. Tacoria, which was one of the earliest participants in this recent trend, offers tasty, made-to-order TexMex cuisine in a trendy, fast-casual cafeteria-style ambiance. The cozy dining area, which is open to South Street when the weather is cooperative, only offers about a dozen tables for two or four diners, so it may be difficult to get seating during peak times. On several visits, we've had to stand around awkwardly holding our food while waiting for other diners to finish their meals and relinquish their table for us. After placing your order at the counter from the menu that allows you to build-your-own burritos, bowls, street tacos, salads, or nachos -- all of which is cooked to order -- grab a seat at one of the tables in the dining area and wait for your pager to buzz and let you know your meal is ready to be picked up. The service is very good with counterstaff that's very knowledgeable about the menu and terrific at making whatever accommodations a diner may require (vegetarian, lactose free, etc.). I'm a fan of the Burrito - Al Pastor ($12.50), comprised of ground marinated pork served with black beans, seasoned rice, and salsa in a grilled flour tortilla.. but I was surprised that my entree did not come with even a small portion of complimentary tortilla chips. My dining companion enjoyed her salad topped with marinated grilled chicken ($11), sliced avocado, black beans, pico de gallo, and cheese on a bed of romaine lettuce and topped with a pineapple lime dressing. There's a handful of complimentary homemade hot sauces - which range from mild verde to spicy habenero -- as well as several varieties of Cholula and Tabasco available (and small 'to go' containers if you're planning to dine elsewhere) if you want to kick things up a notch - and a Coca-Cola fountain machine offering unlimited refills of the basic Coca-Cola options (Coke, Diet Coke, etc.) if you've overdone it with the complimentary hot sauces. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Tacoria doesn't have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking on South Street. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, the Morristown Parking Authority DeHart Street garage (@ 13 Dehart Street) or lot (@ 12 Wilmot Street) are a short walk to Tacoria.
