This is a complicated rating because the food was a 20/10 but the service and staff sensibility is what brought it down. We came in as a group of 4 to eat dinner before a show. We decided to order the family combo #1 so we got a nice mix of everything. The person taking our order was very confused about what all was in it and how they were supposed to enter it into the computer. They asked their team around, called staff, and finally got an answer. They didn't know which pizza to enter and instead of making an executive decision in the face of the unknown (which also didn't really make sense because there were only 2 combos) they kept asking around. We finally got that solved and then went down the line to order the rest of the food. Easy fix. We go sit down with our drinks and wait quite a while (we're the only party in the restaurant) for our salads. After 15-20 minutes we still don't have them so we go ask if we can start with our salads. Then they give it to us in to go packaging. The salads were delicious and balanced (the Caesar and the house) but just wish we didn't have to go ask for our appetizers. Shortly after, the rest of the food starts to come out; wings, pizza, cheesy bread, and a churro bread. It didn't even fit on the table, we had to take over the table next to us! The server then tells us that we're missing one of the pizzas so she'd bring it out shortly. We start to eat the entrees, the cheese bread is good, the wings are great by themselves, and the pepperoni deep dish was flavorful. Then we realize we only have 6 wings instead of the 12 we were supposed to have, so we had to ask for more. The cheese bread and pizza were a little cold too so I think those had been sitting waiting for the wings. It also didn't make sense why we were getting our dessert before we were done getting our entrees. If we're clearly dining in, and you know the combo doesn't even fit on the tables, why wouldn't you space out how folks got their order so they could eat things at the temperature they were intended? We had plenty of food and it was all flavorful, it's just the odd service and lack of common sense in hospitality management for how orders were sent out. We'll probably give them another shot but would order to go since they're already serving things in to-go containers anyway. read more

Pizza is good but.... Hot pizza that is really thick and no silverware except plastic. That doesn't work! So, you wait for the pizza, and then have to wait until it's cool to eat it or burn the roof of your mouth. It's not true Detroit style. It's thick, but Detroit style is thicker. It's like a French bread pizza. I requested no sauce, and got a white style which is some kind of sauce. Alfredo? Creamy cheese? Don't know. Plenty of toppings and such redeems it. It's at the end of the strip in a sketchy part of town. I got lucky with street parking. If you're adventurous, go for it. Not for small town tourists, though. read more

I wish they came with sauce or there was an option for it on the side via the Fandom kiosk, but other than that, no complaints. The pizza was delicious and very worth the price. Located on the border of Arts District and Downtown in a modern mix use building is this Detroit Style pizza joint cranking out some delicious combos. It's a small quick service shop with limited seating. Ample street parking out front. This pizza is has a delicious tomato-base sauce which keeps the pizza nice and moist. The pepperoni and sausage toppings are tasty but were a little dry which makes me think they were stored a bit long in the cooler and not cooked fresh. The place has a loyal following of locals that streamed through door. For visitors, it's tough location unless you find yourself in the Arts District from time to time. For the service, price and food, I recommend you give this place a try if you are in the area. read more

It won't just be a year of Detroit pizza reviews, but maybe this is a good pattern. Guerrilla Pizza is a Detroit-style pizza joint that used to be the food option of the Hard Hat Lounge before going on a sabbatical then finding and reviving the restaurant space in the Soho Lofts building that used to belong to the Goodwich (RIP). I was in the area today, so I had to stop in for lunch. The 3-hour free street parking right outside was all taken, but I found a free spot not far away and walked over easily. There was no line at the time, so I spent a bit of time looking at the menu and asking questions before ordering. The Detroit-style pizza ($15.95 base) comes with your choice of regular or vegan cheese, and then you gotta pay by the topping. It'd be nice to see some menu items for 20-ish for the chef to put his best foot forward. The next-best option was listening to his interview on a recently released local podcast, where he recommended the Hot Hungarian Sausage (+$1.35) and Toum ($1.00), a garlic sauce of Lebanese origin. I also threw in Pineapple (+$1.35) since I felt that some sweetness would help. The pizza came out in about 15-20 minutes and was indeed very delicious. The dough is airy enough and has the ideal cheese crisp on the edges, although it does get a little soft on the bottom. The sausage was exceptional, crumbly, and not too spicy. The pineapple caught a bit of browning, which is always good. The garlic sauce was excellent and worked with everything. One small hiccup was that the soda machine was busted, and the cashier sold me a fountain drink ($3.45) before being informed of that. But they did offer to replace it with a packaged drink. I tried the Faygo brand Redpop flavor, which was described as strawberry but wound up having a lot of bubblegum on the backend. The carbonation was there but didn't really add enough acidity. Maybe a different flavor or a Coca-Cola product would have worked a bit better. Guerrilla Pizza is not the best Detroit-style pizza in town, but it is very good. Definitely give them a try some time. I'll have to get back to the wings next time since I didn't want a double garlic order and they were out of mango habanero sauce during my visit. read more

A friend told us about Guerilla Pizza, and since he's the same guy who introduced me to Red Dwarf Pizza, which in my opinion is still the undefeated champ in town, I had no choice but to listen. They've got a new brick and mortar spot right as you're heading into the downtown area, and curiosity officially won. We grabbed a pizza to go and it came out hot, fresh, and in a totally reasonable amount of time. First bite confirmed this place knows what it's doing. The pepperonis were cooked exactly how I like them, and the service was super friendly, which always scores points with me. Does it dethrone my personal favorite? Not quite, but it's a strong, very respectable runner up. Sadly, no wings the night we went, but that just means I have a built in excuse to come back. Next time I'll try banana peppers and feta which are one of my favorites. The garlic tots were on point. A little zesty which the chili flakes and the right amount of garlic sauce that still kept the tots crispy. Oddly, they didn't have any house favorite pizzas on the menu to choose from. I think it gives it a personal touch when they name some pizzas after the neighborhood or staff. The pizza only comes in one size- perfect for a person or 2. But if you're looking to feed a family, the price could get a little high. I didn't get a drink but the selection looked good - with fountain drinks, beer and wine. Not just yes but hell yes: Guerilla Pizza is back! They were previously in the Hard Hat Lounge (think covid times) but now are in the former Goodwich location - note the free parking right in front of the building. They just reopened last week and I went in Friday afternoon, directly from work, to get my fix. Menu includes build your own pies (4 square), wings, salads, wild bread (bread sticks?) and churro bread. I got a pizza with pepperoni and bell pepper, added garlic sauce drizzle (this is the move!), plus an order of mild wings with bleu cheese. The pizza was solid, I liked that this version seemed a bit less oily than other Detroit style pizzas in town, it was also a bit less crispy but still thick and fluffy. The pepperoni they use is the cup kind that adds extra crispy texture, and their garlic sauce is great. The wings though! Don't sleep on those - hot and juicy, the mild sauce was lightly used but these had great flavor, will be getting these every time. Location is smallish, they do have patio space but no tables/chairs out there yet - they may need to add them as they were pretty busy even being newly reopened. Absolutely, hands down, the best pizza in Las Vegas! Every single time I have ever gotten a Guerrilla pizza, it's been downright perfection. When they were at Hard Hat, I would tell people that their cheeseburger pizza would be my last meal if I could swing it. The new space is open, clean, and there's free 3-hour parking outside (iconic, truly!). I love the art on the wall with their gorilla mascot, Gordy. I ordered a vegan pizza with vegan sausage and it was just as perfect as I remembered. Oozy cheese, crispy (but not crunchy!) crust, and super flavorful red sauce. The vibes are immaculate, and the staff were all so welcoming and upbeat. This spot is an definite must if you're a local or visiting. After a shindig at the Beverly Theater, figured it was a good opportunity to check out Guerilla Pizza Company, recently opened in where the short-lived Far Side Pizza used to be, at the base of the Soho Lofts. Build-Your-Own-Pizza ($15.95) plus Honey Bacon Topping ($1.35*): Mini pan, traditional Detroit style, which was the only type of pizza made here. Crunchy but airy, blackened-edged buttery tasting crust, completely covered in slightly stretchy cheese, very saucy laid out in the expected double stripe. Each quarter slice had four-five bacon pieces, also edge-blackened like the crust. Loaded and filling. Takeaway pretty decent reheated. Also, Fountain Drink ($3.45). Free refills. Value: Pizza price, for good or ill, seems to align with other Downtown joints selling Detroit style. *I did not appear to be charged for the topping add-on. Atmosphere: Bare bones. A mounted TV faces the smallish seating area. The company logo looms large on the back wall. The Campbell's Soup pillar remains. This place is great! Definitely worth a visit. We got the Detroit white and the pig pen and it was fantastic! For a "grandma pie" I was expecting the dough do be dense and have more chew but the pizza here was light and the dough was super tender which didn't take away from the topping! Jared and the crew at Guerrilla Pizza are absolute legends. They were able to pump out 15 cheese pizzas for a group of 25 volunteers in less than 30 minutes. The pizzas were incredible! The crust was buttery and crisp with the right amount of melted cheese. They can also do a vegan pizza too if you wanted one and I trust that they would make it great! Overall, I'm very thankful for these guys for taking care of my volunteers and I would definitely come here again for catering or if I need to eat a whole pie by myself. No regrets read more
