I've had my first bad experience at Guess. I've been shopping here for years spent thousands of dollars and unfortunately I no longer have the desire to. I bought a shirt that was miss labeled for xxl and it was actually s. ( no i couldn't try it on due to their police of the fitting rooms being closed) i know my size at Guss and G by Guess. I went to return it for exchange or store credit because I didn't bother to find my receipt. ( it was miss labeled. I was told by Stephanie that it is only worth $9.97. But I paid Tag price $ 29.99 I asked Stephanie if I can get the credit for what I paid.... long story short I don't feel I was welcome at this location. My daughter and I walked in 15 before closing and planned on purchasing more than a few items, HOWEVER one of the store clerks did not allow me to try on some pants because store was about to close. It was about to be 6pm. I understand one must obiede store hours, store can lock doors at time indicated to close and not let other customers in,but be able to assist, take care and not rush customers already in store. Brand new Guess Factory Outlet in Manteca. Manteca could definitely use some life in their area. I came here on a Friday night and there were not many shoppers. Their sales selection is great. It's well kept, clean, carries cute styles, and they have my size. I found some great deals and bought a jacket and top. The sales associates are very helpful and friendly. I like guess clothes everything is really cute, I seen a dress on a display so I went into the store to look for it and I had a bad experience. I was never greeted nobody asked me for help, there was 3 other shoppers and 4 girls working they made eye contact with me and not one said anything. I seen a few more things I liked but because of this experience I did not buy anything and I will never shop here. I will take my business else where. I work as a retail manager, have been in the business for over 16 years and I would never ignore a customer ever. Customer service is the most important key to a great shopping experience it will bring your customers back every time. Unfortunately this is not the case. read more

Always have driven by this place on 120 and wondered what this guess store was about. Prices are great and selection too. My new store for going out clothing. Never did someone ask for help, though. My friend who was with me bought some sunglasses with a case which case is seperate but if you dont buy a case they give you like a logo sunglasses bag to put them in. I was a previous employee at guess . The service they give you is good but besides the good service the quality of the store is bad . Somewhere I would not work again . My checks came in late 3 times 4 days later and one took 7 days to come in then they were suppose to causing me to have bounce checks . My hours were randomly cut even though I needed the hours to pay for my schooling . Sharlene the assistant manager was very discourteous of me , wouldn't help me unless I talked to the store manager for her to inform me on things I wasn't taught. she did not even acknowledge me at times . I would just ignore her but that's not okay to do to someone who is 7 years younger and you are my manager I'm suppose to ask you if you don't teach me . She would ask other associates questions that includes me and totally ignore me over the headset . She would say disparaging remarks to me and other associates . Working shouldn't be a chore it should be to make someone's day easier and assist them in shopping . My all time favorite GUESS store since I was 18(38 years ago) when it was founded. Their clothes fits my body type perfectly and I didn't have to shop else where for casual outdoors clothings. GUESS is amazing BUT not considerate of others who would drive from 1 to 3 hours to get to GUESS outlet believing that their online website are accurate with the GUESS store hours. At that time I also wanted to check out Banana Republic outlet. While checking on both of your stores opening & closing hours. Much to my excitement because my ETA was 7:50pm. I worked out logistics where I would go BR first then grab quick dinner and go into GUESS before 9pm because according to our YELP, BR close @ 8pm and GUESS closes @ 9pm. I was thrilled to be working out logistics. Imagine my surprise that awesome logistics fell through JUST because GUESS closes @ 8pm as well! GUESS lost a great customer. No excuse for not being able to update your website to reflect accurate store hours. Sigh read more

The location is good, never gets too busy to the point where it's overwhelming, so it's nice to be able to shop without it being crowded. The sale section is great, and most of the time, it is an additional 50% off. However, the sales can be found at any other place. I almost always have great experiences when shopping here. My usual girls are Sharlene, Maria, and Danielle. They are always very happy and and give off a positive vibe. They are always smiling and always help me put outfits together for myself or my boyfriend. Because I am a frequent shopper, I have noticed a difference in the management team. and some new and younger employees. Not a fan. They give you the usual "Hey how's it going" when customers walk in but then chit chat away the entire time. One of the employees, tall, blonde, a bit on the heavier side, always has an attitude. I've caught her rolling her eyes after I or any other customer has asked for help. A heavy woman, whom I believe is the store manager is no where near being a professional. One day, and I don't think they had realized that I had walked in because the girl that looks like the Lindsay Logan girl was sitting on a stool at the register and the store manager was leaning against the counter and the banner blocked the view of me walking in from where they were standing. Anyway, I walked around the store to see if they had anything new. I was looking at some new t-shirts in the room next to where they were standing and overheard them talking about their personal lives. I will not repeat what they were saying, but I heard one of them being overly explicit and thorough when describing her sexual encounters with her neighborS. I didn't want to hear anymore so I cleared my throat and heard the other say: Oh fuck, someone's in here. That bitch is being sneaky, when did they walk in? That's when I left the shirts I had and walked out of the store. I heard a "thank you, have a nice day" as I walked out, but when I walked past the window and looked inside, the Lindsay Lohan girl was laughing and the store manager gave me a dirty look. My Father and I purchased a matching purse and checkbook for my Mother on Mothers Day of 2012, totaling about $150. My Mother realized recently that both the checkbook and purse, both of which are still in nearly new condition, are starting to fall apart(not from wear-and-tear, but from a manufacturer's defect). Both items are mainly used for special occasions, with that said, they are rarely used. On Friday, April 19th 2013, my Mother called the original place of purchase(store# 3299), and spoke with an associate named Jo-Lynn(coincidentally, the same associate, who is a manager, that sold us the merchandise that I am currently complaining about). Upon speaking with Jo-Lynn about the merchandise and asking about what she could do for my Mother, Jo-Lynn made the statement, "There is nothing that I can do for you, you should of known better when purchasing it. All you are paying for is cheap leather and the brand name." She then hung up on my Mother. My Mother spent 10 years and I've spent 6 years working in retail and customer service industry and neither of us have heard anyone treat a customer so poorly and if it would of been either of us, we would of been terminated a long time ago. I am not sure if Guess doesn't train their employees how to interact with customers or if it is normal for management at this establishment to talk down to customers but the thing that I do know for sure, is that my family and I will no longer shop at Guess, or purchase any Guess merchandise anymore. read more
