I'm not sure why all the low reviews but Old Navy has been one of the stores I go to often for my children as they grow so fast. I can always fine basic items I need from T-shirts shorts dresses you name it. They often have a Selection of different items and I'm sure to find some thing we could use or need. I also like their clearance sections as you can find really good deals for more than 50% off at times which isn't bad. If you sign up for the rewards program you get deals via email and points where you can go back and buy more expensive items. read more

I've been in this store a few times now and each time, I regret entering the store more than the previous time. From my experience, most every Old Navy store is a disaster. This one is just so compact that it is also uncomfortable. I'm fairly certain that no employee has ever greeted me there. It's gotten to the point where I can't find anything I want and I will shop online, if I want something specific from the company. I've been to the Bay Fair store in San Leandro between my last two visits and the store is bigger and the employees are friendly, but that's a bit out of my way. read more

One other worst store experiences I've ever had in my life. Place was a DISASTER! Employees were everywhere, standing around doing nothing. Heaps and heaps of clothes in all the wrong places. Nothing in the right spot. Forget trying to actually find anything in any size you needed. Music blaring! I will never shop old navy again. I paid $9 to ship $95 worth of crap. Then they sent 3 things that were the wrong size. One of them was TWO sizes bigger than I ordered. When my husband tried to return it, they were horrible! They kept saying he could return it. THEY sent me the wrong size after I paid $9 for shipping. First they were saying they were cheaper than what I paid, then they told him he could only get store credit. All this even after he showed them the receipt. My husband had to speak to manager to get them to do the return. Old Navy- you lost a customer! No wonder big box stores are taking over. read more

8 !!!! That is my review. Not on a scale of 1-10. They have an entire 8 shopping carts for the whole store. I went and asked 2 different employees if there were more carts somewhere. They said that what is out is all they have. So I walked around the store looking for more and found 8 carts all in use. Just poor planning. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My daughter and I visited this location on 7/23/23. For school shopping since our area don't have an old navy close to us this has always been our go to store Till yesterday. We walk in it's sooo hot in the store She finds a few jeans on sale and Shirts the dressing room was so hot couldn't even get clothes on with the sweat dripping of body made a horrendous experience. Then we go to check out cashier had no personality Then I had her $100.00 bill she's run three machine which it clears fine then goes over to another cashier an says can we accept this an then says can we Break it at this point I'm LIKE WHAT Is the issue she's over there talking and I say loud enough. I'm not asking for it to be broke I'm make a Damm purchase with the $100.00 bill what is the issue oh she comes back and out of no where she's got change to give back an lots snnlots in her cash drawer. So I asked what was the issue was totally ignored bag tossed at us. I'm not coming back to this store after the way we were treated. Disappointed to say Old Navy isn't the same as it was ran 10 years ago . This clearly falls under management and how employees are trained . I went some summer clothes for my girls . I was looking for one dress I had seen on the ad , unfortunately I wasn't able to find it nor could I find one single employee . Literally the only people working were the 2 girls at the register that had about 10 people waiting in line. So as I kept looking for the dress I come across this girl tucked way in the back of little boys stuffing her bag ...... this here is why you lost my business and money and why you lost way more money for not having enough people on the floor. read more

Reading other reviews I felt like writing one of my own. The reviews listed here are from 3 years ago...time for an update! This store has changed dramatically in the last year or so. No more racks on the floor with tapped on signs, or down right rude associates. I always find what I need. I've noticed a change in staff and I like it! Some would say I am biased because I used to work for this company, but I don't think that. Obviously!! I don't work there anymore! This old navy can get really busy on sale days or weekends, but its worth it. Night time is the slowest time to go. I like this old navy, Please don't read these reviews and be turned off. Ugh more and more I kick myself for even venturing into this particular store. I remember years ago when Old Navy's were new *cue music and fade into the late 90's* ... The staff was super friendly, the music in there got you pumped to shop, and the goods were aplenty. *sigh* Unfortunately things have changed! I went in this afternoon to exchange some goods my Mom bought for my daughters. (Why does that woman think they grow at least 2 sizes every year??!!?) Anyhow, of course my dear darlings lost the receipt when they were searching through the bag. A few things were too big and I went to exchange. Not return, not ask for any cash back, just plain and simple EXCHANGE for proper sizes. I was met with the young girl working her summer job at the front... to her I say: Dear Young Stuff, Your working a crappy summer job while most of your friends are probably out working on their tans. Paste a g*d damn smile on your face and give me some customer service. Don't give me smart ass attitude about your policy being the same for the last year. I DON'T RETURN OFTEN, I DON'T KNOW IT LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND. Don't patronize me with that stupid half smirk, as if to say 'Ha old lady I won!'. Most importantly don't offer me some ridiculous check that will come from corporate in 4-6 weeks. Instead stuff that stupid drive-thru head set where the sun don't shine, and I'll be on my way NEVER to set foot in your store again. Thanks! Obviously I'm irritated that I have to give the stuff back to good old g'ma to take her credit card in and have them search for her purchase. A true disappointment. The sale racks, usually teeming with piles of cheaply-made clothes in the Tracy or Stockton locations, were sadly sparse here. As usual, the layout is haphazardly organized, the dressing rooms inconveniently located. 2 stars for the novelty, but that's it. *Edit: The sales racks have improved; however, customer service is nonexistant, unless they think you're planning to steal something. read more

If you like to WAIT this is the place for you! I needed to just return a couple items I purchased online, and boy did it not pay to return it to the store, at least not this store. A manager was just standing in a register station and ignored the line that was over 5 people long. Only two cashiers were open, and there were four employees in the cashier area. WTF? Decent place to get clothes if you're not a big guy like me, and when I say I'm big I just mean a Double X. Not anything bigger, but if you wear more than a 42 or 44 pant size you should just skip this place and go to JCPenneys or somewhere else that carries our size. The shirts fit is typically smaller than usual. So just be prepared. I've lost a lot of weight since last time I shopped here, but it's still an issue to me. I actually dropped 40 lbs and when you're a big guy you still wanna be fashionable and more stores should consider this. Aside from that, the customer service was fine, not mind blowing, but fine. I received a VERY, VERY, BAD experience last time I visited Old Navy in Manteca. I did not receive a call back, letter, or nothing. Sure, It's your big company and don't give a crap about one customer, right?! 2 cashiers on a 50% off day!! Really?? The manager said another cashier would be up and that was 1/2 hr ago. Still in line waiting as I write this review. I now go in look around and try on things, write a list of what I like and then go shop online. Save yourself a lot of time and do the same. I still scored a cute dress, but when I got home I was unhappy with the fit and then realized that I just paid $45 for a summer dress from Old Navy. Not exactly a good price. I have never been to a more disorganized Old Navy, and it's not even a shopping holiday. A lot their sale signs were displayed for the wrong items, then after having wait in a unnecessarily long line to find out that I had gotten the wrong items for sale. I showed the manager the sale sign and she said it was for an item that was stuffed on the side of the rack. Showed her another one and said all the sale items on the rack were sold out, but the item I tried getting was on full display under that sale sign. Worst of all, I waited in that long line and asked if I could just come up to the front when I got new items, but they said no. I WISH I TOOK A PICTURE OF HOW UNORGANIZED THIS SHOP WAS. Every time we come to this store, the line at the cashier is so long and it takes for ever to pay or return your items! This store sucks at customer service! I have been trying to return an items many times and the line was so long so I decided to come in the morning at 9am which is the time the store open to wait until 9:15 and they told us their system was down. So instead of letting us know at 9am when they see us waiting outside they waited until we knock few times in the door to inform us! I only come here because they are the only place that sell my kids uniforms and now I have to make sure I buy the right size. read more

I'm very big on customer service which i don't take lightly. The reason I felt so compelled to write this is because I could not believe the lack of respect for me as a customer!! After the customer in front of me was serviced I walked up to the first available cash register. Two employees thought it was a great idea to carry on five minute conversation while I stood there. After they finished the employee, who's register I was at , walked away with no acknowledgement. I was so dumbfounded and completely turned off by the lack of professionalism that I left my items on the counter and walked out of the store. I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!! Don't shop here. I ordered online and the shoes I ordered my girls were way too big so I came in to do an even even exchange for the same exact shoes. However I was told because I ordered online they would have to do a refund and I would have to do a whole new transactions. Two problems with that first of all I paid a little over $21 for these shoes that normally costed $24.99 and was refunded $14 the worker said she assumed I bought them on sale for less so she MANUALLY changed the return price... first of all my receipt clearly stated how much I paid so when I realized she didn't return the correct amount I notified her and she herself stated again that she changed the price because she assumed I got them on a bigger sale. I asked to to have it corrected and she needed a manager who then insisted I bought them on the bigger sale and would not correct it and if I had a problem I could contact corporate she was extremely rude and condescending and refused to admit fault even with her worker stating in front of her again that she changed the price manually. The second issue with that was that to buy the shoes again same shoes different size what should have been a normal even exchange like every other store I had to pay an extra $8 per pair of shoes because they did not refund me the correct amount for the shoes. I did contact corporate who offered me a $10 discount on my next purchase but refused to correct the problem. Horrible company and horrible employees. Don't waste your time or money here. On a side note this happened to me a few weeks back but I just got around to posting the review. Also I did check to see if they did even issue the $10 discount just to see and no they never actually did. read more

Manteca has waited so long for an old navy and when we finally get one, it's pretty disappointing. Today was the 5th time I've gone to the store, but only the 1st time I found something to buy. It was friggin 100+ outside and the majority of the men's clothes are pants and long sleeve shirts - wth? They've been established for a while now so I've pretty much given up on any expanded selections in the near future. Maybe in the winter I'll be able to finally get some shirts and shorts!! read more

We walked in looking for a tank top, the store was about to close. We started looking around, my friend had gotten a few pairs of jeans she wanted to try on. The lady told us she had five minutes to try them on and check out because that's when the registers are going to close. We both left very upset. Came here last night. I kid you not I waited for about 35 minutes standing in line. I got in line around 7:50 ish pm and left the store around 8:25 ish... it was borderline ridiculous. Only reason why I stood in line for that long was because I had super cash that expired that day and I had found great Xmas presents. I just wished someone would have opened a register for the sake of allllll the people that were standing in line. The line was so LONG! there were about 9 people in front of me and about 11 people behind me!! That's simply ridiculous. Heard Little kids getting fussy around me. I wouldn't blame them, I felt bad for the parents that were planning to get in and get out but instead had to wait as long as I did.. I noticed three employees on the floor just folding clothes and staring at all of us waiting in line. And only two registers open ..Super frustrating! Went in to Old Navy yesterday. Typically I love their clothes. I was hoping to find a pair of comfy jeans. The hard part was that their jeans were a mess. Colors and types all intermingled. I basically had to search for my size and just read the description when I found one, so it was near impossible to find an exact style I wanted. I ended up only walking out with a cute sweater that was on sale. When I got up there she rang it up as full price. ($29.99) I told her it was on a sale shelf. I pointed to it because it was within sight from the register. She said she would take it down to $24. I said the sale says $20. She claimed 20%. I don't have great eyesight but could clearly see, no... it says $20. So I mentioned that again, politely, and she basically ignored me, brought it down to $20, and immediately asked her colleague to take the sale down. I wish she would have said "oh, you're right! I'm sorry that sale has expired but we will still honor it since we haven't taken it down. Our fault." But she was super rude about it. Not my problem. I've worked retail, when you mess up, you still honor it with a smile. read more

Way better selection than the one in Stockton. The line is always long. I fee bad for the cashier because she was calling for back up and no one was coming to help her.
