I had a quick trip to Rosamond today for a chore and wanted to check if Guidos was open for lunch. I tried long ago to get a meal here but during Covid times and that I believe was a difficult situation. Today though it looks like Guidos is doing well and they are open and have some good business. This is a little place backed up against the airport in Rosamond an aero-community where folks have their own homes with hangars in their back yard all sharing the airport. I can day dream about being a hotshot plane owner flying out of my house on a Sunday afternoon when I'm here. The good here is GREAT! I was and always am a bit worried when i go try places off the beaten path but I am brave and will keep the exploring going for the people!! Had a small antipasto salad and a bloomin onion. Look out Gino's because Guidos has a formula here. Service was excellent and attentive and friendly so kudos to them for that! Views of the airport, clean fresh dining room, and the food comes out pretty quick and it's delicious. Abundant ingredients and the vinegarette was packed with tangy flavor. I want to come back for heavier offerings like pasta or something but my stomach needs to be prepared! Stopped here for lunch on the drive up to Mammoth and accidentally found ourselves in what felt like a private aviation themed museum with a side of food. We were one of two tables in the entire place, which made it extra quiet but also kind of fun. The walls are covered with cool aviation photos and relics, and the best part is that it sits right next to a runway. Watching planes taxi and cruise by while you eat is genuinely entertaining and easily the highlight of the visit. The food, unfortunately, did not live up to the setting. I had the chicken tenders and my girlfriend ordered the soup, and both were fine but very forgettable. Nothing bad, just nothing that would make you detour for it. Service was friendly, though a bit slow considering how empty the restaurant was. Worth a stop if you are into planes or need a break from the drive, but I would come for the view and the novelty more than the food. read more

While in town for work this week, my friend and I visited here twice. One night we both did the pizza thing. I really enjoyed the BBQ chicken pizza and listening to the karaoke going on. O the second visit, I was blown away at the size of the awesome fried pickles appetizer; I've never seen anything like it. I also highly recommend the manicotti; it was great! We love Guidos. The food is great but the service can be lacking... ESPECIALLY when you order to go. The person taking the to-go orders is always in a rush to get off the phone and when your meal is prepped it's not always packaged in a way that will service the delivery. Dining in is great. If you sit in the bar on the weekend they sometimes have live music m, and the drinks are great. For Rosamond, Guido's is our go-to spot. However we aren't always able to dine in, and rely on delivery when we're getting work done on our property. Our last order, my wife specifically asked for the ranch not to be placed in the container with our wings. As you can see in the picture, that didn't happen, and when we opened our wings, the ranch had exploded inside. If it wasn't for the lousy to-go service they'd get over 4 stars. read more

Love this place. Great pizza and pasta with live entertainment on the weekends. Carb coma heaven. One of my favorites is there spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce is delicious and the meatballs are so tender and have a great fennel flavor. Big portions to take home for a midnight meal :) read more

We went to Guido's at the Hangar after coming back from Bakersfield. What a great surprise. It is a hidden Italian food gem in the middle of nowhere. Food 10/10 top 10 best Italian food I have had in CA. Fresh made. Did not taste like any sauce was from a jar or can. Pizza and calzone was seemed to be all made in house including the dough. Atmosphere 6/10 I really love the aviation theme, but all of the Halloween jump scare decorations were too much. 1 or 2 is fine. Not 20. Service 10/10. Very helpful and polite. Food was served within 15 min of ordering. Cost $$. Very fair for Italian food. To top it all off the sunset on the Mojave desert in the background was beautiful. A person name Jamey decided to mop while kids are walking around the area my baby slipped on wet floor and busted her lip and elbow and this person showed no type of empathy she instead she said well they shouldn't be walking around there like wattt !! I came here Saturday morning before heading to Willow Springs Raceway. I had heard that they have breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Guido's is dog friendly so I brought my dog and we sat out on the patio. I ordered a Bloody Mary and a breakfast burrito. I have had their pizza before and absolutely love them. The patio is great and you get a great view of the airport tarmac. I saw a couple of plains land and take off. I'm not really a Bloody Mary person but when I first walked in a couple had some on their table and they looked great. The server brought my blood Mary out first and let me tell you it was one of the best I have ever had. About 10 minutes later my breakfast burrito came out and it looked great. The burrito comes with bacon, sausage, ham, avocado, cheese, eggs and hash browns. After taking a couple of bits I was taken to breakfast burrito heaven. Absolutely one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever eaten. Every item inside the burrito worked in flavor harmony. So what was the total bill? For the total of $24 I thought that was an excellent deal. Pretty impressive for an Italian restaurant to make a great breakfast burrito. read more

We've been customers of Guido's since their original location on Sierra hwy. They've stepped up their service and quality exponentially since moving to this new location at the Hangar. This is a great casual place to bring the family. My kids have so much fun watching the planes come and go from the landing strip through the window. I really want to love this place. It has the best ambiance and great views. The service is also wonderful. The menu options look great on the menu. They even host events like karaoke and other things for the community. The food, however, is where it takes a downhill turn- it is really is lacking in flavor. I had fettuccini Alfredo and also had their soup. A change in the kitchen to add seasoning and flavor could be what's needed to turn this into the very best restaurant. I've spoken to others that said the only thing good on the menu is the cheese curds, so I do want to check those out. Went a few weeks ago to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We got the Blooming Onion and cheese bread as appetizers. The onion was raw. It was gross. The cheese balls were ok. Just seemed like they were a bit hard like a day or two old. So in my opinion, overpriced. We got BBQ pizza Calzone And pasta. That was all good (hence the 3 stars) But the onion ruined the whole experience for me personally cause we still paid for it. Pleasantly surprised. There aren't many options in the area, so our hefty group of 9 chose Guido's. We were sat promptly by a very kind server. This restaurant is military themed, probably because it's so close to Edwards AFB. First impressions: not authentic, very casual, decent prices. Our table absolutely loved the fried deviled eggs. I've never had anything like them, and they were truly wonderful. Photos dont do them justice. They were sat atop a dollop of the filling, for extra dipping. I love that they use real mayo and not miracle whip or something. You can definitely taste the mustard, which is perfect for me. The cheese bites are so yummy! Balls of cheese wrapped in pizza dough and topped with Parmesan... chefs kiss. Also a hit at our table. After dinner the most talked about menu item was the Spinach and Artichoke dip. They use pizza dough with toppings to dip. It was very good. The BLT pizza was a taste of my childhood. I honestly haven't seen it on any menus in Vegas, so I was very excited. Service was fast, drinks were flowing, we were met with kindness by all of the staff. We enjoyed ourselves. Would I call Guido's a real Italian restaurant? No. Would I say it's upscale? Probably not. Always thought Guido's had the best pizza in town (not a real big choice), but either the person taking the order is screwing up, or the pizza maker did! I don't know it was or care who screwed up the order, but $30.00 for a medium pizza that is done wrong TWICE is two times too many! Happened on last pizza so we stopped ordering here, but didn't feel like driving to Lancaster to pick one up, so we tried Guido's again. WRONG!!! How hard is it to put Pepperoni on entire pizza and pineapple on HALF? Guess pretty hard since they screwed it up two times! Can't pick it off and eat the pizza anyway, Allergic to pineapple!! Guidos is at the top of my list for pasta, pizza, and all around good food. They always get the order right the first time and the service is incredible. 've been here many times, normally the employees treat their customers w respect until tonight. I came in @ 840 to place a to go order and @ 850 I called since no hostess was to be found for an employee to answer but couldn't hear me due to loud music. Once she came to the front she instantly tells me I'm not telling the truth and just arrived (only 850 now, they close @ 9). I took a pic shortly after I arrived of a person singing and tried to show her that I've been there and asked to speak to a manager. The owner then came our (Erin) and I informed her that I've been waiting for her to also call me a liar, when I tried to show her the pic(time stamped) she continued to call me a liar and started yelling about how they are checking cameras. By now I don't want food from here and she is making a scene so I only wanted out. The entrees said homemade fresh and Italian. It tasted like tomato sauce, but there was no rocotta cheese, and the tortilli was tasteless and understuffed. I say the appetizers were great. It was obvious that they were understaffed as the servers (we had several) were trying their best, but seemed overwhelmed with the situation. When ordering we were told they had a special on appetizers of BOGO so we did that but were charged for both. Everything and I mean everything, took longer than necessary from getting waited on to food delivery. We were not offered another round of drinks. The food came in shifts, not all together, and I ordered a salad which did not arrive with the dressing so I had to wait for that after asking for it.
