They tell you you need to give them a deposit to get the cart you want. Then, when they Can't Get the cart they promised, they tell you it was a Non-Refundable payment and try to bait-and-switch you. I purchased my golf cart in March/April 2020 timeframe. Guild is awesome! They sell good used golf carts and usually only carry the best brand. We use ours to drive all around 40 acres of back property and field grass. It does awesome! Great family business and they stand behind their products and service. I am calling them to get a rain/winter protector and look into bigger wheels since we are driving over some rougher terrain. I saw the 2 star review and their issues can certainly happen with a used golf cart. I truly believe that is the very rare exception at Guild. I know that if I called Guild and said something was wrong with my golf cart they would help me and be fair about it as well. I am sorry for the two star purchaser as they came from a farther difference to buy a golf cart. All I can say is that I am so confident in Guild that I am going back to buy additional products from them. read more

She also FaceTimed with us, sent pic updates and answered so many questions promptly. She has a knack for design and created exactly what we wanted off of a picture. They picked up golf cart and returned it 1 month later I'm worse shape then when it was picked up. They told me the gas golf mechanic had quit.... they returned cart without my key and without my battery. To top it all off They said they didn't do any work to it, yet upon inspection wires were removed and even cut that previously were in perfect shape. We purchased an electric golf cart from Debbie earlier this year. The golf cart she sells are purchased from golf courses, and she'd put fancy upgrades like 22" wheels and upgraded front & back seats, which she emphasizes, and "newer batteries that should last a few more years. We've had the cart for about 6 months now, and it's had some problems from the get-go. When driving, the steering wheels would have too much play/ the cart veers off to the right and left. We'd have to constantly pull the steering wheel back the opposite direction in order to drive as straight as possible. The cart is only driven 3 times a month at half a mile each time. It's not gas powered and doesn't have an alternator, so our assumption is that long distance driving isn't needed to keep a charge as in cars and trucks. After owning the cart for 2 months, the cart could only be driven 2 times (at half a mile each time) before we needed to recharge again. Yes, we make sure the batteries have water inside. The past 2 times we drove the cart after fully charging the cart both times, the cart almost died on us before we reached our driveway. Because winter is coming, and we don't want to be stuck in the snow with a dead golf cart, we had someone with over 20years of experience come out to our house (since we don't have a trailer to haul it somewhere) to service the cart and see if the batteries are still good. Turned out the batteries were already 4 years old and they typically are only good for 5 years at most when driven on a golf course. The batteries were also cleaned to appear newer but tested to only hold 43 volts when they should hold 42-48, meaning the batteries were not holding much charge anymore. The rack and pinion(?) need to be adjusted, hence why the steering would pull left and right. It would have cost us $400+ to get it adjusted, so we left it alone. The wheels are fancy and big at 22", but turned out the inner splash guard was removed to accommodate them. This wouldn't be an issue except the underside of the battery and electrical compartments would get wet in the rain. Is that safe? To address this, we'd have to get the cart raised to put splash guards back on, but it would have cost about $600 for parts and labor. In the end we had the batteries replaced for about $1k, bought a pump (that the Golf Guild didn't provide us) that fills the batteries with water (we were using water bottles before). Maybe we were taken for a ride from the service guy, maybe not. But for sure the cart itself had issues masked by fancy upgrades, and the cart wasn't serviced like it should have before it was sold. Definitely shop around first. You can get a 2015 cart with brand new batteries today for around $4K. read more
