There's about 6 grass tee areas and about 20 mats, a nice putting green but it was closed. They need to add more targets, like 55 gallon drums angled toward the mats at maybe 75 yards, 150 yards, etc. One driving range I've gone to has themed targets, like pumpkins on haystacks for Halloween, turkey stick-in-the-ground decorations (Walmart about $2 each) Christmas themed targets for Christmas. It's a very nice driving range for the local area. No need to travel far to get golf practice in.

There was a group of 16 (4 sets me 4) in front of us that were the "Woodland Estates or Woodburn Estates", whatever that means. We were behind the last group of 4 ladies beginning on hole 2 and remained behind then the entire day. We were a group of 2, a single behind us and then we picked up another 2 on the back nine. All of us (including our the 4 holding up everyone) were on the tee box at the same time. They didn't acknowledge any of us. Mind you, they were playing from the front tees and the other part of their group had checked out by hole 3. There was no marshal to enforce pace of play. I spoke with the employee in the clubhouse when we were finally done. I explained we were on the course for over 4 hours as a twosome and he said they say 4 hours and 10 minutes is their standard pace of play, for a twosome?? He seemed to not care at all. Granted none of this was his fault but not even a sorry or a we will talk to the group about golf course etiquette. 100% will not be back and will not recommend this course to any players we know. We drove over an hour to play at this course. The course was gorgeous and well maintained but we weren't able to enjoy the day at all.

My visits here became more and more frequent as tennis became a serious part of my life during my younger years and more so when my frustrations on the court were taken out on my poor racket. Some years ago I purchased a beautiful Prince racket, with a large face and a carbon-titanium build. It was sold out in most places but this place happened to sell me a demo for a little less than $300 (negotiated down even). Over the years they were able to restore the messy scraped up frame of the racket and have done countless stringings to keep my racket in tip top shape. I have since purchased several more Head / Prince rackets here and on occasion they will do a season special on balls and other equipment which I have been known to purchase. Either way, they are a great, handy sporting goods place that offers some of the best quality tennis gear. Some people may freak at the prices, but like golf, tennis is by no means a cheap sport to play. If I didn't know any better I probably would have had to take out a loan or two to get some of their better gear. Save the money and take advantage of a good deal if one is present here. The staff is usually savvy enough to help even the most novice of customers and can make a good recommendation seeing as most folks will lean toward certain brands. If there is any knock, I just wish they had more locations in the city. This particular location was in one of the more shady areas in town.
