I just want to know if the service are, more accurately the guitar service center, works the same hours as the store? My son wanted to get his acoustic guitar restrung. We got there at 7 PM on a Friday night. The store closes at 9 PM. My son asked if his guitar could be re-strung. One of the guys looked at my son, then looked at his co-worker and asked, "Do you want to fix it?" The co-worker scoffed and said, "pfft, no." Then he turned to my son and said, "Sorry, we're closing shop." I don't know if that is the level of service this store gives, but those two guys really showed laziness and unprofessionalism. I had such a great experience talking about getting into the guitar with both Ulysses and Miguel. Bought a BEAUTIFUL Les Paul and got some very realistic and insightful feedback about what I wanted and expected. Always loved unique looking instruments having played a nickel played saxophone and matte maroon drum kit before so finding this guitar was like a perfectly fit glove. Went to do a return today and the young lady was rushing, poor body language and poor tone. "I can help you right here!" The right content just awful tone. It's already been two times I come here and no associate has ever come up to me if I need help and when I go up to one they just brush me off like I'm nothing. The feeling is really unwelcoming. It has now been three weeks since I registered my complaint regarding the Cerritos store no wanting to refund me charges for unwanted guitar lessons. The store apparently does feel it necessary to respond to customers complaints. As for the lessons that I received, I was not impressed with the quality of the lessons. Not that the teacher was not a nice person but that he failed to listen to what my goals were. At the first lesson session I explained that all I was interested in was playing songs for my own enjoyment. I provided a copy of a chord sheet song as an example. All I needed was help playing the song using strumming motions along with timely chord changes. Right off the bat we are in to playing individual strings and identifying individual notes on the fret. Sorry, that's not what I needed or asked for. I'm not trying to be jimmy Hendrix! I didn't ask for a Mercedes, only a Chevy. So not only does the store ignore and refuse to assist customers, they also do not listen to customers desires. In my estimate, a poorly run business with total lack of concern for their customers. read more

The customer service in this particular guitar center sucks. I'm a DJ and i swear that every time I go in this one absolutely no one helps in the audio dept. I was in on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 3:45pm. There was an associate sitting behind the counter, and he didn't say one word to me. I was the only person in there,and he didn't say one word. MIGUEL IS THE MAN!!! My goal was to buy a beginners electric guitar pack. I am 45 years old and want to learn how to play with my 8 year old son. I was a bit intimidated before entering this store because I've had some bad experiences with guitar centers in the past. When I was younger, I was shopping for a beginners acoustic guitar and felt I was treated like a noob who didn't belong. They made me feel so embarrassed and not worthy of picking up this new hobby. Needles to say, I didn't end up pursuing my dreams of being able to shred on the coolest instrument on earth. This recent experience at Cerritos Guitar Center was SOOOOOO very amazing. The main reason was because of this young man named MIGUEL. He was very patient, a good listener, knowledgeable, well spoken, and so welcoming. He made me feel like I belonged and seemingly welcomed me as a new member of the rock world. I must say that he made me feel more than comfortable going beyond my original price point. He took time to educate me on the benefits of spending a bit more money to get quality equipment. I ended up purchasing everything separate and spending double my original amount. I couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend you visit MIGUEL if you are new to this world. You won't regret it. He is the MAN!!!!! Came in here on a whim to pick out an instrument I'd been considering playing since quarantine. Alice was kind enough to help us during a busy Sunday afternoon and I just felt like I hit the lotto which such kind encounters on this day. Alice answered all my questions and was able to provided me with honest insight that gave me the ability to make an informed and confident decision in my instrument. I went in today as I'm looking for some new DJ gear. They only had two dj controllers, one of them wasn't even connected. I remember in the past they had at least 4 or 5 setups. I was disappointed and not sure i will be returning. I've never met so many unknowledgeable uninterested slow people in my life. It's like getting help at the Zootopia DMV filled with sloths . One guy didn't know any of the prices for any light rentals and had to walk to ask a manager for every light question I had, then seemed bothered when I'd ask. I just can't recommend this place based on the fact that the majority of guys there function like this, not all , but most. If you are in a rush, don't even bother this will ruin your entire day. read more

Manager sold an amp from under me that I had already paid for in an online order, didn't offer me a refund or any customer service at all. I contacted guitar center customer service and they refunded my money only after I turned down their $20 discount offer. So I took my business to Not Jerry at Sam Ash in Westminster. Edit: Apparently corporate GC decided it was going to do nothing to address the situation and to post a BS canned response. This is indicative of the quality and garbage response this trash business offers. Weird how some of the posts here mention they are impressed with the inventory at this store because both of my visits they didnt have any inventory and not to mention the store was extremely dirty and unkempt. I thought this was due to the pandemic but turns out this place is just terrible. Seems to be from the store front all the way up to corporate. Colorado helped me find good quality budgets that I was looking for after some bad experiences I bought and returned at Amazon. My husband initially contacted the store and spoke with COLORADO then eventually I came over and look for him and pick up these vocal singing devices / budgets that I've been looking for. COLORADO is very efficient and knowledgeable, he profoundly explained every single detailed of the product, I was really impressed and extremely happy when I left the store. Truly awful experience here. Went to trade in a guitar that's lived its entire life in a case. Practically new. The lady behind the counter said she "wanted to see some love," on the guitar before she even opened the case. She opens the case and says I abused my guitar and has to pass. My son walked into the store to ask to try out a guitar, and a very rude female employee with green hair had the audacity to tell him "people come come here to and play them to buy them, you can't just come here and use them" she then felt the need to direct him to the little booths in the back and told him those are for private lessons. Little does she know that my son has been PAYING for lessons here for over a month, and I was going to pay for another month, but this situation just left a very bad taste in my mouth.
