Wow, what a terrible experience this was. I ordered a beautiful Fender Super -Sonic 60 amp in perfect condition from Guitar Center On-Line, and found it was shipping from the Orem UT store. I spoke with store manager Tyler Oman, to make sure it was going to arrive safely. He spend most of the phone call badmouthing Guitar Center Corporate, telling me how over worked and underpaid he is . Such unprofessional behavior. I asked him if it was packaged well? He responded by telling me he packed it personally...... ( mainly due to he has no one else to do it, according to him) So it shows up, destroyed. Just the amp tossed into a flimsy, thin, oversized box, with a handfull or bubble wrap thrown in all will-nilly. No labels on the outside saying "FRAGILE" or something similar. It was about the worst effort someone could make. So lame. So I took it to my local Guitar Center. They were horrified by both the terrible packing job, as well as the personal comments regarding his G/C employment. They gave me 100% refund, as well as a "Good-Will discount voucher" to use at their store. DONT SHOP AT THE OREM STORE, ESPECIALLY ONLINE!!!! read more

This review is for Stephen, the current tech. I had him do work on two guitars and highly recommend him as honest, careful, and knowledgeable. I also recommend Guitar Center in general, as the people who work there care about music and helping you find the gear that fits your needs. Sometimes GC gets a bad rap that I don't think they deserve, just like chain restaurants often get a bad rap just because they're successful. I do recommend buying your guitars from GC online, however, as you never know how often a guitar has been banged on and then knocked into. read more

I went into this store yesterday to buy a high end acoustic guitar, I'm a 65 year old guitar player and wasn't looking for a 199.00 fender, I was willing to spend up to 3000 dollars for the right guitar, I asked for some help and got blown off, so I went back into the acoustic room and waited because the ones I wanted to play where hanging out of reach and a ladder was needed to get them down, went back out and asked for help a second time and once again no one showed up, I gave up and just ordered a Gibson hummingbird and not a nock off a real Gibson hummingbird your loss guys ,don't blow off old people odds are we can spend what ever we want to if not cash sale we have the credit to buy anything in your store read more

Crappiest selection of guitars I've seen in a long time. Weird vibe. Masks still required even though the mandate was lifted almost 2 weeks ago. Guy even came over and asked if I could put one on. I highly recommend avoiding this location at all costs. It takes a ridiculous amount of time before you get any sort of service. Also, they have no sense of urgency when it comes to repairing/or doing any service on an instrument. Don't waste your time here. read more

Ok, we took my wife's bass in to the Orem location for our 4th attempt at getting it in working order. We ended up (at the technician's recommendation) replacing it again. The people were very nice and helpful, and apologized for the hassle. I still have a hard time trusting that guitars purchased here won't have problems, considering the fact that they sold us two that their own technician said were too problem-ridden to be worth keeping, but it's been a month without any issues so far. There's hope, anyway. read more

Isaac was very informative in helping my son decide which type of guitar to start off with and was able to price out a starter kit for his electric guitar. They offer a free 15 minute introduction lesson you can schedule following an option to pay monthly for 4 lessons. You can choose from 30 minute (4 for the month is $109) or 1 hour lessons (4 for the month is $218). The basic startup for a base guitar package as still around $300. The kit we purchased did come with some online lessons you could access as well. read more

A few days ago at #guitarcenter Orem, Utah, I was asked to leave after being there for about five minutes because I was wearing a full face shield that I've never had a problem with instead of a basic disposable mouth mask. I was there with a good friend and she witnessed it too. We were respectful laughing and having fun. I had two items on the counter ready to buy them. I was not asked if I had another mask. I had a letter on me from my lawyer and a doctors note that I didn't show him. He didn't care that I was there to buy things I was just simply asked to leave for wearing a face shield by the manager. **Edit: we were the only two customers in the store There were 6 employees working all huddled together seemingly embarrassed of the managers aggressive emotional actions read more

Never going back to the Orem store again. Staff was rude. I had waited around 20 min. Then ask for help from one of the staff, seamed put off and pissed that "how dare I ask for help with a couple of Gibson Les Pauls" he told me to wait, after I had already been standing around. I was ready to purchase a new guitar. instead I left and made a vow to never return to that store. read more

I drove down from SLC because I saw a guitar online. I called first and they held it for me. This store has nice people willing to help you and get things like store credit figured out. Great selection of guitars as well. I would rather drive down here any day. I found an amazing used guitar, no pressure atmosphere. read more

BEST GUITAR SHOP IVE BEEN TO !! I had been looking for a Taylor GS Mini E Koa for awhile, looking for a wood grain that caught my eye, when I called into this Guitar Center to see if they had any I was connected to Isaac in guitars. Isaac was absolutely amazing ! He made sure the guitar tech double looked the guitar over and was there to answer any of my questions when I got there.
