Waiters are nice, burger and tenders are good but the beef taco wasn't great and the chips were stale.

I parked near their walkway sign and once I ventured through, it's such a lovely walk up to the restaurant with a bridge over water with fountains and tons of blooms everywhere. Once inside, I was met with a bright, crisp dining room that was clean and comfortable. We started with cocktails and I got their version of a Manhattan, the hog-hattan. It's made with Whistlepig 6 year and came out on the rocks. Manhattans not served up are kinda a pet peeve of mine--but this one? Truly and honestly one of the best Manhattans of my life. The server did not steer me wrong. It was exquisite. For my dinner, my dining companion and I opted for a deal they had that allowed you a starter and main for a reasonable price. I got the kale salad for my starter which was bursting with flavor--chopped kale, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, chevre, and a bright citrus-y vinaigrette--what's not to love? For my main, I got their Mahi Mahi which was also perfectly executed. It was served over a bed of rice and asparagus with chopped mango and a sauce (not sure what kind but balanced the dish perfectly) on top. I would have a hard time not ordering this dish again. It was craveable. Our server was lovely and provided wonderful recommendations for both myself and my dining companion. No notes! Get to it!

I read it was a little tricky to find, because it sits in the middle of a little resort. It's a great walk over a little bridge that crosses over a pond. It resembles a seaside restaurant with lots of seating inside and outside. I sat at the bar and was enthusiastically greeted by the bartender. I asked for her recommendations and I went with the hogfish sandwich. Luckily, she told me I could get it grilled and blackened instead of fried. I could tell they knew how to cook fish because it came out perfectly. Most would probably think it was undercooked, but that's how fish should be cooked. I appreciated this attention to detail and thought it was delicious.

We decided to go with the shrimp cocktail and mahi tacos on corn tortillas. There are also plenty of gluten free options which is nice. Lots of restaurants only have flour tortillas so it was nice having options. We split both items as we were looking for a little afternoon snack. I also had an Arnold Palmer surfside. My new fav vacay alcoholic beverage. This place is lively and lots of TVs to keep up with your fav sport team. It's also a Seminole bar (go gators). I won't hold it against them. Lol. Also a huge wrap around bar and even outdoor seating if that's your preference.

I was going to order the calamari and 6 oysters. Putting north of $30 for supper. One of the people in the party ordered a smash burger, and I thought, what the heck, I'll order that. Pretty good burger. For those who like to drink under a thatched roof outside, there is a tikki hut. The establishment's motif is all over the map. But let's just stay with the island theme in Naples, FL. Would I go back again? I don't know, I have had this book marked, and I have eaten at another of their establishments, Sonny's. They do not have the same menu. I like that.

Tonight we were taken good care of by a young lady server (Aubrey) that was well trained and very courteous. Anyway, keep up the good work! We may not spend the night but we can help make 5 O Clock Somewhere continue to be successful even if the hotel is not fully booked during the summer months.

As you can imagine the drinks are very margarita focused, but the lovely bartender, Monica, was able to make me a Woodford Manhattan which was so grateful for. For my dinner I got the catch of the day which came as a sandwich, which I wasn't expecting. The spot definitely has pub vibes so I guess it makes sense--just surprised me! It normally comes with fries and coleslaw but I was able to swap out the fries for a side caesar. The coleslaw was great, the caesar was a solid ok, and the catch of the day was tasty. I rarely stay in hotels that have attached restaurants, so this was a welcome bonus! Definitely sit at the bar and make friends with Monica--she's lovely! Get to it!

Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.
