I highly recommend Dr.Matthew Donovan for his professionalism…read moreand knowledge. His personality makes you feel very comfortable and puts you at ease.I felt confident as he did the needle procedure for wet macula degeneration. Dr. Matthew Donovan and his staff are awesome at the Retina Group of Florida, Inverness.

I called Dr Kesen's office and in 15 minutes I was speaking with the Julie and 10 minutes later with Dr. Kesen. They were like angels on the other end of the phone. I went to her office in The Villages and indicated I needed surgery for a severly torn retina the next day. I usually like to study my options but Dr Kesen was compassionate and knowledgeable. My impressioin was she had the confidence and experrence to perform this delicate surgery. I was afraid but decided to put my faith iin Dr. Kesen. The surgery went well. The recovery in a face down position was uncomfortable and the stiches in my eye were irritating but after 3 weeks, my field of view has been restored. My vision is improving but still a little blurry in the right eye. The vision quality takes 2-6 months to stabilize. I am optimistic with the results especially compared to my vision before the surgery. While in the face down position I had a chance to read. I found Dr. Kesen completed her residency at Temple University, studied ocular inflamation and immunology at the University of Illinois - Chicago and completed surgical fellowships at Duke University and John Hopkins University. She has been trained by the best schools in the country and has years of experience on the leading edge of retinal surgery. I reallized I was in excellent hands. I am thankful for Dr. Kesen and her staff at the Retina Specialty Institute in Inverness and The Villages.

We trust him completely and when the office in Venice closed; we chose to attend visits in Bradenton even tho much further away. He has been our speciality care Dr since an emergency with my husband's eyes needed immediate care. Its been three years and now that I have issue with my eyes, we both see him. Nothing but excellent reviews from our household. Excellent care. Highly recommend!

A far closer ophthalmologist refused. I knew there were liability concerns, but luckily I'm very charming and got through. I had an emergency and had to see someone about a possible detaching retina. The technicians photographed both my retinae and Dr B, having analyzed the images and assessed my description of my symptoms, came to a conclusion that put me at ease. I'm not just giving a good score because I received good news-- that would be irresponsible. Two weeks later, my eyesight is fine: he was clearly right. I suffered from a separate problem a few days later: conjunctivitis, aka pinkeye. And, because I have a history of including some complaints along with praise, my yelp reviews can come off as passive aggressive (and maybe sometimes they are?) I'm just being honest. I mention the bad along with the good. I want to state emphatically that I don't believe I contracted it from this office, because I watched them wipe down each and every machine before I used it. I think I got this from the airport. So why even mention the pinkeye? Only to say: If I were still in Florida, I would have returned to this same facility for guidance. One star off because my local ophthalmologist didn't receive a fax that was supposed to have come from Dr Bhullar's office, although that could be due to a technical glitch. I found the staff to be very kind and helpful, and Dr Bhullar was very professional. He's great. Thank you.

The male representative on the phone threatened my life. Yeah ... WTF?…read more If zero stars was an option, that would more accurately describe my experience. I made an online Teledoc appointment to get my prescription renewed. I've had a card since the law was passed, so this process isn't new to me. After providing all of my personal information and paying the appointment, the system recognized me and I was just waiting for the doctor to appear. While waiting I received an email stating that my appointment was canceled with the reason being that I was a no-show. I did show up - early. I was waiting and their system's messaging verified that the doctor had been notified and to stand by. Upon receiving the cancellation email, I called the office to see what had happened. A man with a Caribbean or perhaps African accent answered and told me that I had to come in to the office to see the doctor. I replied by asking why a Teledoc appointment was scheduled if I was going to have to come in anyway. I asked the same question anyone would ask. I was abruptly told that my money would be refunded (pretty sure this person had no idea who I was). I explained that I wasn't interested in a refund. I explained that I just wanted to know what happened, and that I just wanted to renew my prescription. I was again told my money would be refunded and hung up on. I called back asking this man what his name was and why he kept hanging up on me. He repeated the same thing, that my money would be refunded to me and hung up again. The final time I called was initially no different than the previous calls. He again would not provide an explanation, wouldn't allow me to speak with someone else, and would not give me his name. Before he could hang up again, I stated "I'll just come in person tomorrow morning to resolve this", to which he responded "If you come down here, your life will be in danger" WHAT ??? I did not threaten this man in any way whatsoever. I did not yell, did not use profanity, nor was I abusive. I'm 60 years old. I don't threaten people or engage in exchanges like this. Of course I was aggravated, but nothing more. So now the Pasco County Sheriff's Office knows and will be investigating. The Better Business Bureau will know tomorrow, and so will the Florida Board of Medicine. This man should not be employed in any customer service capacity. If the physician who employs this person doesn't take their employee threatening someone's life seriously, then that physician is complicit and unethical. Who does what this guy did? I take no pleasure in spending my time writing this or involving law enforcement, medical boards, etc ... That said, threatening someone's life for asking questions and being persistent is beyond unacceptable and crosses the line big time. Potential patients should know about this man and the practice that would employ someone like this.
