Gully Burger, inside McFadden Market Place, is a great spot for beef lovers. Their smash burgers are super juicy . They are not exceptional but a good halal option. The fries were excellent too--crispy and fresh. Service was excellent. The place has a cool vibe, like a food court, but with really nice decor and branding. It's definitely a hip spot, mostly with younger people hanging out. There's a club on the second floor, and a pizza /taco place opposite serving halal food as well. Overall, it's a solid halal spot with great food and a nice setup. If you're in the area, give it a try!

I honestly had NEVER heard of this place until we happened to check out McFadden Public Market for the first time. We had just ordered some quesabirria from Tacompadre right across, but decided we weren't quite full yet, and our noses led us to Gully Bruger! PARKING: I can't remember if you can park in front of the market but you'll have no problem finding public parking in Downtown Santa Ana. I believe due to construction for the streetcar, the city is offering free/discounted parking garages. WHAT I ORDERED: Jangli fries THE FOOD: We were blown away when we saw our food come out and it smelled so good! The beef on top was very flavorful and tender, and the boom sauce and raita aioli made these fries so much more interesting. And the grilled onions? Perfect for a night out. In-n-Out who??? SERVICE: Food came out pretty quick! VIBES: The market felt like a great place to hang out with friends - it's a little on the smaller side compared to other food halls, but I think that's what gave it some charm. Mission Control bar is on top so after eating we went up to do some karaoke. BOTTOM LINE: My strong recommendation is just from the fries alone. I can't imagine how good the burgers must be.. Looks like I'll need to come back!

Holy moly, this place was amazing! I didn't expect it to be this amazing. The service was quick and so helpful. The server was giving us very detailed descriptions of each item on the menu since it was our first time. The jangli fries, that could be a whole meal. It's like animal style fries from in n out but better. The bhangra burger was like a bomb of great and unique flavors. I highly recommend it!! This is where I went wrong. I went to try the bhangra burger first and then the gully burger. So the second one was good, nothing bad about it. It was juicy, flavorful but not as great as the first one. Can't wait to come back. I have a feeling I'm gonna crave this spot.

Location was questionable. Asked a security guard across the street in parking garage if he knew on Gully Burger. He has been on the job for months and said he didn't know. It is located in food court set up and looked like a ghost town and digital order kiosk out of order . The young man at the register greeted us with a smile. He then explained to me the options. I went with their Thicc 3 Patty and Cheese. My wife had the gully burger on fries. Time from order to serve was good. A smile and kindness followed. Price was good for knowing wages needed and quality of food. All burgers get compared to the Owl Burger San Antonio, NM (OG home of Hiltons). This is the that good!! Enough said!

This place has bomb burgers! I got the skimpy gully burger which is a two by two smash burger. The meat was super flavorful and the sweet pickles helped balance out the salt. The fries were super crispy and the sauce was so good. Definitely would come again! It is a order at the counter and find a seat type of place, but there is plenty of seating. The parking is a bit tricky but there is a small parking lot and public parking near by with the first hour free.

Too greasy but a good amount of meat. Buns were soaked with grease and not my favorite. Sauce was lacking since they didn't put enough. But a good halal burger.

    Gully burger

My first time trying Gully Burger and I was blown away by the delicious burgers, and exceptional service. I tried the Bhangra burger, which has a deliciously crispy yet juicy smash, halal burger meat, their special creamy house sauce and pickled red onions, cucumber, and cheese: an amazing twist to the typical American burger. Their fries were perfectly cooked, with a crisp exterior but still a satisfying bite, seasoned with something more than just salt, which I really loved. There was a miscommunication on my order, I'm not sure if it was my end or their end, but regardless they were willing to remake my burger without any hesitation. I was not expecting that, but I really appreciated their response. I found plenty of seating inside the food market on a Saturday night. It's a nice spot to hang out with friends or with family too. Surrounding parking is plentiful, with available lots nearby and street parking. The immediate lot is paid parking so I suggest trying street parking is you can.

Gully fries, gully smash with wagyu pastrami, and the Bhangra smash burger, and the salaam cola. HOLY CRAP.

Wow wow WOW was that good! I'm glad I took a photo of everything before we inhaled it because if I knew how good it was, I would have started eating without hesitation lol the service was fast, the staff was friendly, the location was great. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my night PLEASE TRY

What a smash hit!! Definitely get their cheese fries absolutely amazing, paired with smash burger and pastrami on top

    Bhangra burgers and gully fries

My partner and I had been seeing Gully Burger all over social media and finally decided to give it a try. We waited a bit for the hype to die down and visited on a Saturday afternoon. It's located in downtown Santa Ana near Mission Control. Luckily, it wasn't too busy when we arrived, but after we ordered, the crowd started rolling in. Despite that, the staff was quick and efficient. The seating can fill up quickly, but they have a nice patio in front with some extra space. We both ordered the Bhangra Smash, which features a Wagyu patty minced with a special house blend (Aka chapli kabob), topped with pickled red onions, tamarind chutney-marinated cucumbers, and serrano, mint, and cilantro aioli. I personally really enjoyed it - it reminded me of the chapli kabobs sandwiches my mom use to make, which felt nostalgic. My partner, on the other hand, didn't find it all that unique. However, we both loved the Gully Fries - the creaminess of the cheese was perfect! Overall, I'd definitely return when in the area, especially for the fries and the nostalgic flavors. If you're a fan of chapli kabobs, it's worth a try!

Such a charming vibe here at Gully Burger! Their branding, menu, and theme is really cute. I love all the vibrant colors and flavors offered on the menu. There really is nothing like it - raita aioli and saffron milk cake are among the striking flavors offered here that you cannot find anywhere else. I tried basically everything on the menu. I did find that menu items felt very similar in flavor. I wish my mango lassi had had ice. We were served immediately and even brought a free chai flavored milk cake which was a super sweet gesture. Overall, my experience was great, but I do not think I would make the trip back out to enjoy it again.

It was like a combination of 2 packets of karahi Shan masala mixed in a pan. The portions were very small compare to the price. Goat pulao was the worst pulao I have eaten probably. At least pay attention making your food if you're overcharging your customers, clean your place, provide solid customer service and make the food in a timely manner. All the good reviews are paid and probably their known people writing the review. We had to ask for water and cups after sitting there for 30 minutes no one even bothered to at least put water on our table. They barely had staff working and only 1 at the cash register or serving food. The place needs deep cleaning; it gives an unsanitary vibes that puts a bad impression to begin with. Food is not good at all. Portions are small and overly priced of what they offer. Please avoid this place, don't go for good reviews (they are all paid for). We are extremely disappointed!

I am very picky in term of Pakistani food and this was a very good one. Food wise - the lamb and chicken biryani were nice. It had flavor and had meat in them. The Beef Paya was my favorite. The Nihari was so flavorful & the sauce is so good like your eating at Burns Rd in Karachi. The Goat Quorma had the perfect spice to it. The chicken tikka masala was delicious, I even tried the Pakistani omelette and was great. The seekh kabob was the least fav. - it was one of those pre-made frozen ones. I didn't bother. They also had Aloo Chana and many selections of desserts - Kheer, Ras Malai, Gulab Jaman, mango lassi, and many other fruits - all presented nicely. The naan was made fresh. The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. It's like there is no spices in there at all just butter and tomato sauce AND the kicker...no rice! Super weird to me that they do not automatically give you rice! Like who just orders butter chicken or any Indian,Chinese, Korean dish for that matter without rice! I mean rice has to cost you guys a pretty small fraction no? Just give people 1/2c of rice! If not, at least you should make note of that on your menu so people know ahead of ordering. The garlic Naan is decent really no complaints there, the Mango Lassi they gave me was the size of a kiddy cup (see photo) Literally a child's sippy cup is bigger than what I received for $5 insane! And just to make matters worse, when I opened by bag they placed my gelato directly on top of the hot food! So when I took it out, it had completely melted. $10 for melted pistachio creamy soup, just what I wanted. You guys have to do better for your customers. I get the price increases but for what you are giving and the immense amount of lack of flavors...is wild. Save your money, drive a little bit further and eat some true Indian food in Irvine/Tustin cause this place is not it. The pictures posted are truly beautiful but pictures are not everything especially when it comes to food quality and flavor. I am only giving two stars bc the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan were decent tasting.
