There were multiple instruments piled haphazardly on the counter. The hygienist looked very sloppy with his undershirt hanging out under his too small lab coat. I felt that if the company didn't have enough common sense to keep a clean office, I couldn't trust that they would have clean and sterilized instruments. The experience from start to finish has been amazing! From Vanessa who was phenomenal & facilitated all the insurance and referral documents to Dr. Justin Wong and his team who did the procedure. They were kind, compassionate, and extremely skilled. I was thoroughly impressed. My follow up procedure with Dr. Eric Oh and the team was also seamless. It made me feel very comfortable. My dental insurance was never sent the preauth. One was submitted to me through email. I immediately caught an error where they tried to preauth one of my teeth twice. I immediately called them to let them know. They submitted a partial update to me which I thought was done carelessly. There also weren't any clinical notes included on it. I called my insurance company about 2 weeks later and they stated they had not received anything. After 2 months and many phone and calls a couple of 3 way conversations between the dental office, insurance company and me, the dentist office said they were resubmitting it. The insurance company never received it. Again I contacted the dental office. I spoke with someone who said my case was priority and she knew all about it and would look into and call me the next day. A little after 4pm I called again as it was Friday and didn't want it to go until Monday. When I asked for the same person I was placed on hold for about 15 minutes, someone else came onto the line and told me the office manager was looking into it and unfortunately was out of the office on a family emergency. I waited until the following Tuesday. Now I was told they had no idea that my insurance was no longer accepted at this office. Mind you, this is approximately 2 1/2 months from my original appointment! There so much more I can't even go into all the detail without getting mad. If could give them a minus 5 I would. BTW, I asked to speak to the dentist and no way were they going to let me. I believe the front office staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing and definitely have absolutely no compassion, care, or real concern for any patient. Window dressing is all they are, as I don't believe anything they said. Worthless employees!!!

He identified that a few fillings needed to be redone, and three weeks later the pain I had every time I chewed on that side of my mouth is gone. Even more unexpectedly, my jaw tension and clenching have decreased significantly. The entire experience was exceptional. Everyone in the office is kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their patients. Dr. Azouz is incredibly knowledgeable and efficient, yet takes the time to listen to your concerns. Surprise! Not a big fan of going to the dentist. I don't know too many people that look forward…read moreto their semi-annual cleaning, poking, sticking, scraping, and general discomfort while looking straight up at the ceiling. I have issues from my childhood dentist that would insert large painful metal tools and clamps (back in the day before technology and advances in dental medicine) - like biting down on a bullet as my Mom would say. As an adult, I had a great dentist for years. I didn't like going but I knew that he cared and showed genuine concern. Then, when I moved, I had to start over and find a dentist that was as good, or better, than my previous regular. We found Dr Kolander! It was a referral from (wife's) co-worker. She went first. The reports were positive. It was my turn. I was sweating. Short of breath. Almost panic; thinking "what disaster will he find." A glorious time was had by all that were in attendance of my first appointment. I was relieved to have found a dentist that I could feel comfort and confidence. I've been seeing him 'regularly' know for a couple years. I'm still not a fan of the process, but at least I know that I'll be taken care of by Dr Kolander and his staff. I'm on my third bridge from a childhood injury to my front teeth. While the work was not done by Dr Kolander, he does what's necessary to preserve the longevity of the current bridge making minor fixes. I have another somewhat big deal coming soon that will need to be taken care of and know that Dr Kolander will refer the most competent and caring.
