I know the conversation the office manager had with her and I didn't even need to be there to know that it was predatory practices. All while the manager had an attitude while talking with me, her admitting to me that it was a lot of information that she discussed with her and being condescending by insinuating that my mother-in-law is not of sound mind and that she feels that my assumption of the conversation was not how it went. This office took advantage of my elderly mother-in-law in an absolutely unacceptable and predatory way. They pressured her into applying for a credit card to pay for dental work without clearly explaining what she was agreeing to -- no itemized list of services rendered, no paperwork outlining what still needed to be done, and no documentation regarding the financing they encouraged her to sign up for, knowingly giving her a lot of information at once. She was made to feel like she had no choice, made to her feel like she might lose all her teeth, and was emotionally backed into a corner. The staff openly admitted to overwhelming her with information, but instead of acting ethically or with compassion -- especially knowing she's on a fixed income -- they pushed forward with what felt like a high-pressure sales tactic. This is not how healthcare professionals should treat anyone, let alone a vulnerable senior. Their priority was clearly getting paid, not patient care. If you're considering this practice, especially for an older loved one, I strongly urge you to be cautious and demand full transparency before agreeing to anything. I am noticing something important that I would like to point out. They have no response to any reviews, good or bad. If they really felt like they wronged someone, a good business usually tries to make it right. They haven't commented on anything at all, which tells me it could be a liability for them and have likely been urged by lawyers not to....DO NOT GO HERE!!

They decided to not take my Medicare dental insurance, right in the middle of my treatment where I had Deep cleaning root planeing, then regular cleanings every 4 months. I decided to find a new dentist. I started with the new dentist and requested my files and x-rays to be sent to new dentist, twice by email. I filled out their release of info forms, twice. I had an appointment last week with the new dentist and they said they have never received my records. I was at the dentist for an appointment and they could not do the regular 4 month cleaning because there was no proof of when I had the last deep cleaning done. They called my Insurance and the insurance only had a date of 2022 being my last deep cleaning. I then called Redford dental to ask them about my records. They could not even find anything on me at all. It was very frustrating. I could not quite remember when I had the last deep cleaning but I knew it was within the last year. I proceeded to go thru with the appointment, since I was there already. They did 1/2 of my mouth deep cleaning, which cost over $300. When I got home I went thru my files and found the receipt from Redford dental from 10/2025. I discovered that they charged my credit card A total of $60 more than what they quoted me. They never turned it into my Insurance. I emailed the owner a letter, along with the receipts and a long explanation. I just wanted the owner to know what had transpired, maybe he would look into this. All I wanted was to be acknowledged with a reply. I have waited 5 days and no reply from Redford dental. This is no way to run a business, they have no regard for their patients, or former patient. I went in on an emergency as I had a tooth that was really bothering me with an infection, Dr. Patel wrote me a prescription for amoxicillin and it really helped, and I really did appreciate that. I was told the tooth needed to be pulled, and I would have to see Dr. Gurrero ( their contract oral surgeon ) for that which was no real big deal. They were also going to do a bone graft as I was going to get an implant done also. I went in on the 2nd of July for the extraction. I have found the dentist, hygienist, and the dental assistants at the office to always be nice and friendly. Dr Guerreros assistants were mean and snotty and not friendly at all. Well I should say that Dr. Guerrero doesn't have the best chair side manners either, as a matter of fact he could probably take some lessons from Dr. Patel in chair side manners. I was talking to dr about something, and without any warning or asking I get this big block shoved into my jaw to help my mouth open, which really pissed me off, I wanted to take that thing out and throw at the b***ch that put it in but I had been numbed up , so I stayed cool. So then he started to pull the tooth. then I tried to swallow and I couldn't, I was starting to gag, I was thinking I'm chocking. But then I figured out, the b***ch had place wad of gauze in my throat which was causing me to have a gag reflex. So then I'm sitting in the chair, trying to swallow from reflex as my mouth is drying out, then the b***ch tells me to move my tongue, I'm thinking move it? Well you stupid b where am I supposed to move it to? I can't exactly pull it out can I. Then I see she has something in my mouth holding my tongue. Then I'm thinking I'll be dammed if I am ever going to come back to this place again, especially with these people to get my implant put in my jaw. But wouldn't you know it, last Thursday I had one of my implants teeth come loose, so I called for an emergency appointment to come in and get it fixed. I was told there was nothing available until the next day . So I called a few places, and I called the Roseville dental company at 930 am, they got me in at 130 that same day. I went in, I got my tooth fixed and I asked if they could put in the screw for my implant after it healed, they said they could. I also told them about my experience at Citrus Heights modern dentistry, they all got a good laugh at that. I am going to Roseville dental company for an appointment about my implant on Monday. I will probably continue on with Dr.Patel as my dentist, and with Naz as the hygienist as they are both two of the kindest, nicest dental professionals I have ever met. But there is someone because of the people he employs that have no chair side manners that I will not go to. I really do not hold a grudge against Dr. Guerrero, I really don't have anything against him as a dental surgeon. I have been to a lot, and I do mean a lot of dentist in my lifetime, I have never seen or been around more miserable, snotty, and mean assistants then these things.
