Edit 8/30/21: I found out that my review from earlier in the year was not posted. Here goes:…read more I will start with saying that I do not like change very much! Especially when it comes to my medical/dental care. I used to go to a dentist less than a mile from where I live - which was phenomenal and worked well with my schedule. My sister, Shareen, has been raving about Dr. Patel for a few years (she even entered Dr. Patel's number in my contact list a while back). In January, I started having this pain on my left side of the mouth (about a couple of weeks after my last routine dental appointment at my regular dentist)...long story short, I ended up needing a root canal and found out that I had a cracked tooth that was progressively getting worse. Which led me to think - maybe my dentist should have caught it during my last very recent visit). Anyway, fast forward to today. I switched to Dr. Patel in late January and am extremely thrilled. The entire team is helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and makes for a pleasant experience. The office is conveniently located (not under a mile from my home, but it is an absolutely worthwhile trade-off). I ended up needing a crown and the team worked around my schedule and kept in contact with me for any openings that may come up before my scheduled appointment. The text communication is super helpful, as a I spend most of my work life on conference calls. During my prep to get the tooth ready for the crown, I did not like all the "stuff" happening in my mouth, so Dr. Patel would pause after every few seconds and make sure I was okay. I think the procedure took about 30 minutes, but it felt like it went by much faster, even though Dr. Patel would stop for me to make sure I was okay. That is how efficient he is! Oh and they have a TV mounted to the ceiling, so you can actually have something to do instead of just laying there. AND - they give you awesome headphones so you can catch up on your old episodes of Friends or Narcos or whatever! And while writing this review, I found out that my other sister, Shane is also a patient of Dr. Patel. We are making this a family dentist! Pam is a terrific, Bonnie is awesome, Kelsey is superb, Kasandra is a delight, and Dr. Patel is a Rockstar! I highly recommend them.

The best dentist in the Arden/Sacramento Area hands down!…read more I found Dr. Patel through Yelp and was obviously initially skeptical of the reviews. The office is beautiful. Kind of a relaxed, chic welcoming feel to it. After spending the last couple of years with Dr. Patel and his amazing team working through a comprehensive treatment plan (crowns and veneers) I can honestly say that this is best professional service I've ever had. Dr. Patel and his team, especially (Jessi who is in the front) generously spent the extra time working through a complicated insurance plan situation with the up most patience, always keeping me in the loop through the process. Appointments were always made to best fit my schedule and there was never a feeling of being rushed during the many consultations as the treatment plan constantly evolved. Gabi , Erica and Nathalie are always extra patient with me as I have severe anxiety about having poking and prodding done to my mouth. (YES, like a little kid LOL ) There is never a day that you look forward to going to the dentist but Dr. Patel excels at making the experience somehow almost tolerable and humane. Old school bedside manner meets the new century. Call them if you have questions about your insurance or even if you want a 2nd opinion. You know its always good to have another insight on what other doctors/offices say what you need. Really, stop looking, go to Dr. Patel if you are looking for an A+++++ General Dentist!!

The dentist I saw was great too. The quality of care was excellent - they thoroughly explained what treatment I needed and showed me a treatment plan so I could see and choose what to do next. I definitely will be back soon, Thank you all! Joshua

I had a really uncomfortable and frustrating experience at this dental office and won't be…read morereturning. Three months ago, I brought my 6-year-old daughter in for a check-up. They took X-rays and told me she had two cavities and needed to be referred out for treatment. We scheduled a follow-up appointment, which was today. When we arrived, we were taken back, but then left waiting in the chair for about 30 minutes with no X-rays, no cleaning, nothing. Eventually, the dentist came in (before any hygienist had seen us, which already felt unusual), pulled up the X-rays from three months ago, and immediately began scolding my daughter about her brushing habits. She briefly looked at her teeth, spent maybe 2-3 minutes total, and then said she had no cavities and walked out. Naturally, I was confused since we were originally told she did have cavities. When I asked about it, the hygienist came in and reviewed the same old X-rays, seemingly thinking they were from today. I had to point out that no new images had even been taken. At that point, they started asking me basic intake questions (like who brought us back (male or female) and whether my daughter had sealants before) that should have already been in her chart. which they were after i literally said... i don't know what sealants are can you look on her chart. which they did and they gave her two last check up. What really didn't sit right with me was that even after saying she had no cavities, they still wanted to refer her out to get cavities filled, like to double check the dentists work or confirm? i felt like i was in the twilight zone, and it just screamed "money grab" . The whole situation felt disorganized, careless, and honestly unprofessional. There was no acknowledgment of the confusion or any attempt to clarify what had gone wrong. I don't blame the hygienist, she was nice, and the front desk has always been wonderful, but to watch the dentist look at 3 month old x rays thinking they were from today, and no one knew except me, and no one even knew what worker set us in the chair and left, i knew i was never going to bring my kids back and i'll be returning to my family dentist, even if it means ill be paying out of pocket. I ended up just getting up and walking out.

I even pressed the doctor asking if he was sure I didn't need a root canal or something. Nope deep clean. My teeth feel SO much better. No pain no sensitives anymore. Doctor was correct. Place is large and on the louder side. Women came in and was very clear about what everything would cost which was great. The only downfall is the receptionist was a bit loud when asking personal questions. They could work on discretion. The reception desk is close to lobby so anyone can hear what your being asked. I'd rather not have people hear. Most dental offices I've been in are very quiet when asking same questions.

As a 28 year old who has been to the dentist for cleaning every 6 months for over 20 years, I don't know why this started. I have been very open about my dental anxiety with this office and I know it is listed on my patient profile as well. My anxiety is so intense that they usually only do the bare minimum for cleaning, because that's all I can handle. I've never been prescribed anti anxiety medication for these appointments. They are not very compassionate towards my feelings when I come in. This is the only office that has ever pushed me to remove my wisdom teeth. As I finally decided to, I was told I would be put under general anesthesia. When I got there for the procedure, I was told 5 minutes before the procedure, that I would not be completely under or asleep the whole time. As someone who already has serve anxiety, this was super scary and I had no time to prepare. I woke up multiple times throughout the wisdom teeth removal and was in intense panick mode. When I woke up after the procedure was completed the nurse who was in the room with me, excessively repeated "breath through your nose and open your eyes" in frustrated/rude tone. I was trying to breath through my nose but was struggling to stop hyperventilating at the same time. And my eyes were already open. I tried to clam down so I could leave as soon as possible. I felt that while this office may be good for the general patient, if you have any sort of elevated dental anxiety, I would NOT recommend coming here. They just don't seem to be as compassionate as I wish they would be and they almost seem annoyed that I experience this uncontrolable anxiety. I cannot speak on their services because I feel mine are done a bit differently than the average persons (due to the anxiety that I experience)
