From making the reservation to the actual appointment time, Gunn Nissan was on point with accepting my vehicle right away and ensuring what I brought the vehicle for and if there was anything else I had a concern with my vehicle. Felt very welcomed. Their waiting area offers coffee, hot chocolate, and water. They have about 5 soft couch like chairs in front of various TV with different channels and about two tables with hard chairs, and a few charging stations/laptops work area, which is really nice. Once, my vehicle was ready, the advisor, came and explained what they found, what they did, and what they recommended! At the end of my appointment, they washed my vehicle, which is nice, and I was on my way! read more

I came here for an oil change. The service was fast and well-done. Yes; they try to up sale you with the whole air conditioner filter needs to be replaced and other up stuff; however, turning them down was incredibly easy. They didn't harass me like other businesses have. I was in and out within an hour and a half. Everyone working there I was incredibly kind and welcoming. I have been a customer since 1998 and never was referred to a manager or loyalty director (if they still have those) for all of my recent issues. Gunn Nissan felt that I should do a lot of their job myself and my problems with the vehicle was not their problem. From figuring out how to charge my EV all on my own to dealing with poorly chosen tires that wore out so fast and could have resulted in terrible accidents and bodily injury. I never experienced such terrible quality or such indifference. It truly felt like my almost 30 years of being a customer did not matter to anyone in that building or beyond that building. The next 30 years will definitely be with another dealership and manufacturer altogether. read more

Do not trade your vehicle in here. Lowball artists. They rather dishonestly try to make your trade in value "appear" higher by taking tax savings and adding that to the trade in value. Their sales associates (or at least the one I was dealing with) couldn't tell me how the number was reached. When I called BS on it, had no answer. Lost thousands on my trade. Do not take your car here for trade in. The salesman refused to appraise our car until he saw our payoff amount, then of course the trade in offer came back at $250 over payoff. Carmax had already offered us $3k more and we knew we had equity in our vehicle. I brought in my 2016 Nissan Rogue for a wire harness recall. I made the appointment online, with ease. I was able to drop off my car half an hour before my appointment time. The service was done within a few hours and they also performed a multipoint inspection. They found some things with the vehicle that might need to be addressed, but we denied the additional services without being pressured, which was so nice. I purchased a used 2021 Acura TLX at Gunn Nissan back in January. I would expect the dealership to do a proper inventory of the vehicle to ensure all expected equipment is on board. I wouldn't expect as the customer that I'd need to do that job for them. Fast forward to a flat a few months later I go to get out the air pump, because the Acura TLX doesn't have a spare, and there's no air pump. No biggie, my sales guy was great during the sales process, so I left him a message about the missing air pump. To my dismay, his sales manager said there's nothing he could do, it was too far out from the purchase. It's an air pump, pull one from another car like you probably did to mine to put in another car. Such a small thing in their line-item budget to lose a customer over but that's the case here. Winfred James does a great job I recently took my car for service they were honest , quick and provided good service I made an appt the night before and took the car in next day at 8 am and they took my car right away which I know all the places that repair cars might take a while since they need to figure out what's wrong with the car etc he told me they were gonna look into the car but weren't sure if it was ready right away which I was fine with it , he was very honest which I appreciate that . I also want to thank the technician David Gutierrez for looking at my car and finding out what was wrong with it . Winfred provided excellent service and follow up , he would call me if anything right away . They provide free shuttle which is amazing they took me home quick . Wouldn't recommend selling this dealership your used car or trade-in. Took them 2 weeks to get my check to me, and the sales rep lied and said he was "overnighting" it to me. When I asked the sales rep why I hadn't received the check he referred me to the UPS tracking website and told me to look it up myself. Then when I get the check I see they didn't tell me my ex-wife's name would also be on it, even though I brought in all the legal divorce paperwork that said I got the car, which they readily accepted. When I asked why the paperwork was enough to meet the State's legal requirements for a car sale, but it wasn't enough for the dealership to leave my ex-wife's name off the check, the reply was "because it's our policy". They just don't tell customers that's their policy. Went all the way to the top and spoke with the GM of the dealership, and he couldn't have cared less. read more

I've had my car in for a radio warranty repair for a week now. A week over a radio! All I get back is.... still waiting to hear from Nissan. I have a very painful bone condition and driving the loaner car (sentra) is increasing my pain day by day. I get no feedback aside from still waiting. This is my 4th Nissan, 2nd from Gunn and until now I have been over the moon with Nissan. I have to say, this is making me re-think my stance. This is the first -- and absolutely last -- time I will use the service department at Gunn Nissan in San Antonio, Texas. I had a scheduled appointment for vehicle service at 10:15 AM. I arrived early, at 10:00 AM, expecting timely and professional service. However, by 12:30 PM, I had received no update, so I approached the service advisor. She informed me that there were still four cars ahead of mine. That was frustrating to hear, especially considering I had an appointment. Still, I remained calm and left the dealership, eventually I got a ride home -- over an hour away. At 4:46 PM, I received a text stating that my vehicle was next in line to be serviced, but that due to the current workload, it most likely wouldn't be ready until Monday. That is completely unacceptable. I immediately called the dealership and asked to speak to a supervisor. I believe I spoke with someone named Clint. I explained the situation and my disappointment at having an appointment for 10:15 AM, only to be told at nearly 5:00 PM that the car hadn't even been looked at. To make matters worse, he insinuated that I was lying about what the service advisor told me earlier. Rather than showing any concern or accountability, he dismissed my complaint and told me that many other customers were experiencing the same issue and wouldn't have their cars ready until Monday either. This level of disregard for customer time and experience is absolutely unacceptable. I sincerely hope this complaint reaches someone in a leadership role who has the authority -- and care -- to implement meaningful changes. Scammers! They kept sending my mom coupons to get oil changes for cheap. It had her vin saying it was eligible and then told her they couldn't honor it because it was diesel. Her total came out to $177 and the "only" way they could help her was by giving her a percentage off that brought the total down not even $10! This is NOT the first time they do this! The first time they were able to refund her the money this time around they are giving us the run around saying no one can do anything. What makes me upset most is that she was on the bus for 2 hours when I could've done the oil change myself! This was the most regrettable "I'll treat myself" I spoke to an assistant manager and asked him if they're doing this to my mom how many other people are yall doing this to? Do I need to get a lawyer? And his response was for just an oil change? It's not "just" an oil change! Some people don't have that extra money! Customer service was good but I'm not happy that the warning lights came back on after service. Had another mechanic look at it and there were two cords behind the tires disconnected on the car. I'm not sure how both cords were not connected back or seen that it was loose upon completion of the repair. That could have been a very dangerous driving situation for my daughter. read more

I have been to this dealership twice for a recalled part. Each time they have chose NOT to replace a recalled part. How is that even legal. All they do is "clean" and inspect the part and try to sell me additional services. I am going to report them to the NHTSA U.S. Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The part is a replacement latch for the hood of the car. The hood moves so the replacement is supposed to prevent that. If my hood flies up while I am driving I will be using Gunn Nissan. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership they do not honor recalls. I was told by Shonna the money was credited back to my card on the 5th of July; however that is a complete and utter lie. USAA states they do not see any returned funds or charge-back to my account from Gunn Nissan. USAA temporarily credited the money to my account from themselves while they dispute the transaction and USAA also stated they still have an active case open against Gunn Nissan for the funds. Fix your car wash, I mean seriously the service adviser said it was broken AFTER everything was finished and not prior. I could spit on my car and it would look cleaner that how it came out. and do service recommendations based on look and mileage instead of just mileage, you lose credibility with only doing mileage. I didn't get a video which is a standard at most dealers. I was a mechanic and I did a decarb cleaning and Evap about 5k miles before this oil change. And 20 minutes prior I changed both my air and cabin filters right before coming to the dealership and I was recommended all of these services. And to add to that my vehicle drives straight and I got it checked at discount tire and all specs were in the green and I was still recommended an alignment when I visited your dealership. And my fluids were not topped off either, I ran out of wiper fluid the next day expecting I had a full reservoir. Do better. Besides that customer service was good. read more

I have taken my 2018 Nissan Titan here three times in the past month. My truck has died multiple times within this time frame. The diagnosis was originally chalked up to be an issue with the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and respective electrical wiring along with paying a diagnostic fee. My truck just died again and the tech crew reported a different issue-- with the chassis harness. The crew failed to diagnose what was wrong with my truck the first time, and are now charging me to replace the chassis harness. How do I know this is the root of my issue? Went the other day to have my tie rods inspected due to recall, didn't even state my complaint properly on my form as a sign of bad tie rods could be clunking sound when turning at low speeds and guy Winfred stated that they'll do an MPI as well. Later to be charged all this bologna, upper charged on all these services really? Declined as I knew all this was surge charge. Later informed by Winfred that next time I'll be charged $100 for an inspection fee, what kind of inspection? One I didn't ask for that came with the service. Very unprofessional service and service advisor. Save your money people and find true professionals to help you out. Also didn't even inspect certain things under the hood only to find out too that on a coolant flush they did last month left air in my cooling system and had to add coolant. My review of Gunn Nissan is of a recent used car purchase. I trusted their long term sales person (big mistake) and another used car associate to be honest and up front about the car and any flaws (see texts). The main person I dealt with was KJ. The other person he had test drive the car for me was unknown, I was out of state for this purchase. Before you say yeah you're fault for trusting them, the reviews had me very optimistic hence why I'm writing this one for anyone else in my position considering buying from them. As you can see in the text I asked for honesty and transparency with pics of all visible flaws. From the phone to him saying "always", ok I'm in good hands. I got sent the 3 pics you see. There were WAY more than that on the paint alone. The paint all around the car had many gouges and touch ups, the lip (which is $700) was damaged, and a fender liner was held in with zip ties and fell out after just touching it. Anyone walking around a car would be able to spot these items to make the buyer aware, however I didn't get so lucky. That's not all unfortunately. He had another associate test drive the car, as I asked him to and run through all of the gears. Upon receiving the car, it grinds in 5th and KJ told me "it's good" as you can see in the text. The synchros are bad and it's most likely going to need a new trans (common for 370's). Mo, their sales mgr for the used lot is another matter on top of all of this. Instead of saying sorry about the associate not showing everything (easily visible, doesn't take a mechanic to see the things I saw upon delivery), he took his associates side and said you're buying a used car it's your fault for not hiring someone to look at it. Don't trust the reviews, don't trust the associates. Do your due diligence with whatever you're buying from them because at the end of the day, they are just trying to sell you a car. They have done nothing as far as I have seen to remedy any of the things I've mentioned. Don't be another number to these guys. Good luck read more

Went here today to sign on a car. Which I had previously been told over the phone that my co signer and I were approved. All I needed to do was sign papers. Once I got there the salesman I was working with told me that his general manager will not allow me to get the car. Because "he didn't feel comfortable with my co signer being in another state". Which had already been talked about on the phone earlier that day. They were aware that my co signer lived in my home state. It was said that they would overnight the paperwork to my co signer to be signed. These people allowed me to drive all the way to their dealership with the intent to leave with a car, and then because the general manager "didn't want to or didn't feel comfortable" I now have had my credit ran MANY MANY times for nothing. I do not recommend this place. Completely unprofessional and absolutely sad that they do this to someone. read more

Went back yesterday and also requested a balance, rotation and alignment. Was there for another scheduled appointment almost three hours. Updating this. The dealership is having horrible communication within itself. I got a call 1/20/22 our plates are ready, husband goes to pick up 1/28/22 and they can't find them. We also were bringing the vehicle for paint touch up and they didn't have the paint even though the sales guy was suppose to get with the paint guy. Wasted my husbands time and gas today. Very unacceptable. Already had to bring the car in once to repair because the battery was crap. They wanted to charge over $300 for a new battery. Just purchased a car from this dealership and even visited their Buick location. Best customer service we have received buying a vehicle. Salesmen were friendly and knowledgeable. Last week I called them to get my oil changed. The lady said that the walk-in wait time was 2-3 hours. I told her I didn't want to wait that long. She said I could set up appointment, so did for the following weekend. So I went to my appointment, when I get there the guy tells me the wait time will be 2-3 hours. WTF did I set up an appointment for!!! He said the appointment is just check in time. That is not what I was told the week before, I set up an APPOINTMENT so a would not have to wait 2-3 hours. I normally don't write complaints in this forum, as if I am going to take the time to write this, I prefer to give a compliment on the place or service, but this really made me mad. Not only did it waste my time, but the ineptitude of the service staff, was just sad! If you are going to suggest that setting up an appointment will keep you from the problem of the walk-in (the wait time) then you should follow through. I went to the Gunn Nissan to look at a used GMC truck that they showed online . The sales team was friendly and went on to purchase the vehicle . It was a bit over priced , but the truck was very clean . After about 6 months I wound up have quite a problem with engine issues , and spent thousands of dollars in repairs . I contacted Gunn , and spoke with them about the issue I was having . I told them that I was bringing them the truck back , and wanted to trade out to and different used truck . They said bring it on in and they would help me out . When I arrived at the showroom I discussed the trade in value for the current truck . They gave me the tried and true story of how much the truck had decreased in value in the small amount of time i had it . The sales manager Mo said that they would not be able to sell the truck for much more than they were offering me . All of that was a lie . I bought a different used truck and went home . A week later I was curious what they were selling my old truck for online . I went to the website and found the truck for sale for two thousand dollars less than what I paid for it originally . It was being sold for 9K over what the paid me for it . They made good money off me when I bought the truck the first time , and now they are doing it again . Service center : this May have been the biggest coincidence and I'll state that starting off! But low air in my tires, take it to Gunn and they say they fix both. Next day, air is low again and I take it in and oh another nail in my tire which they said they fixed for free since I paid the day before. Okay, day 3 low air (worse than before) and apparently there's another nail in my tire. I should add that this is all the same tire! I can accept it happening a second time but I cannot believe in a third time. And funny enough, once I bought a new tire from them ... no more nails or leaks! Yet another crappy San Antonio area Nissan dealership. I have not purchased a vehicle from them but took both of my Nissan Trucks to service center. First, my Frontier had a weird noise on startup and they claim they could not hear it. So on the morning I picked it up I had service advisor go out to the truck on startup and recorded sound. He claimed he would ask mechanic and get back to me. Never did. Second, I took my new Titan for what I think sounds like engine knock but they advised normal sound of 5.6 engine. The sound isn't always there and they claim they matched it with another Titan vehicle on the property so I asked if I could also hear what they claim is "normal" sound. This of course is all BS and they didn't really try to find out why it made sound and naturally when they pulled up another Titan is wasn't making this "normal " sound. They can fix the easy and apparent stuff like switch not working but other then that a typical crappy SA Nissan dealership. If you find a good one with great service center please let me know because this ain't one of them! read more
