Late night food available and delicious! We were hungry in town and having a hard time finding food available after 9:30 pm- luckily a passerby pointed us in this direction and it worked out great! Plentiful draft beers options at a reasonable price ($7.50), delicious burgers that came with crunchy shoestring fries ($16), and I added a side of their huckleberry BBQ as a dipping sauce (.50) It was all great and our server Andrew took good care of us. The dining room was spacious, clean, and has a bunch of TVs to keep us entertained. I do wish they would offer stickers as a souvenir but that would by my only suggestion If you're hungry and in the area, I'd highly recommend giving Craggy Range (names after a nearby mountain range) a try! We had lunch at the Craggy Range Bar and Grill and could not have been more pleased. Typical mountain town rustic decor which was to be expected on the main drag in Whitefish. The star here was the food. We ordered the tacos and fish and chips. The tacos are double walled - crunchy shell inside wrapped in a wheat tortilla. We chose the blackened cod and braised pulled pork. Both were generously portioned and quite flavorful. We also ordered the fish and chips and this was the real surprise. Crunchy seasoned batter and large pieces of cod. No kidding - we had to go 500 miles from Puget Sound to get the best fish and chips this side of Little Chinooks at Fisherman's Terminal! Need to say that the drinks we ample and balanced. We ordered the Huckleberry Mojito and the Bloody and could not have been more pleased! We came here twice while we were in Whitefish. Our first visit was for drinks and an appetizer. The Southwest rolls were fried but they tasted OK. The second time was for dinner. Ugh!!! I really wanted to rate this place higher, I really did. But when you compare it to everything else in town it just doesn't quite measure up. This weekend (Sept 14-16) is the 3rd annual Whitefish Songwriter Festival. Hit songwriters from Nashville and local stars are performing in theaters, restaurants, coffee shops and bars of downtown Whitefish. That explains why I've seen so many people around town with guitar cases and maybe why some of these venues are packed with so many people. We saw the line of people waiting for a table at Craggy Range and thought maybe we'd have a long wait. We were seated right away. I then proceeded to have my most enjoyable meal all weekend. Craggy Range is a sports bar so the menu is what you'd expect. We split an order of Brussels sprouts and I selected the Bison patty melt. My companion picked the Bison chili. The Brussels sprouts were topped with lots of crispy bacon and cheese and were nicely roasted. My Bison patty melt was topped with creamy cheese and carmelized onion jam and served on sourdough that was perfectly toasted. The tater tots were warm and crisp and lightly salted. My only complaint about my meal was that I couldn't finish it. Really, I had a good time and I was happy with my meal. My companion finished every bit of their bison chili too. read more

Waitress was nice, but I'd never recommend eating here. I ordered wings that were supposed to be Bone-In and they brought me processed chicken nuggets with dry buffalo sauce on them. They did take them off our bill, but the explanation baffled me. They said the kitchen must have run out so substituted the regular wings with chicken pieces. Today I met a friend for lunch at Craggy so we could watch Olympic opening ceremony. Tje staff went above and beyond to get it on a TV near our table. This is my first time writing a review.... but I had to because I feel others needed the warning I didn't get. So first and foremost I ordered 1 smash burger with fries and 1 classic burger with tots. When we got our food it all smelled delicious which unfortunately was deceiving. Because our food was NOT seasoned at all. The fries and tots tasted like oily potatoes, they weren't even salted. The patties on the smash burgers had ligaments in them and they were flavorless, the toppings were all that really flavored the entire burger. The classic was pretty good, and cooked to perfection, however the pickle(yes singular) as tasty as it was was cut silly for a burger. It was only cut in half(not in thin slices nor burger style), I had to resort to ripping the pickle with my hands to get it in every bite. I mean not to sound snooty but for the food being so expensive I didn't expect it to be so far below the standard of food. Came here after checking out the town, we were sat outside immediately! super awesome place. Michelle Rivers and Hannah King were performing beautiful bluegrass and we just loved it.
