    Fried Green Tomatoes

Came back a couple times recently with friends for happy hour and dinner. This last visit for dinner, we got seated in the back dining area. My first time sitting back there - this restaurant is a lot bigger than it appears from the front! We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes for our appetizer. It was crispy and juicy with great flavor. For our main, we got the Thai Seafood Hot Pot and Tea Smoked Duck Breast. The hot pot was huge and full of seafood and deliciousness. I loved the duck breast and the sauce which tasted divine. Our drinks were great and our server was just attentive enough for our needs. Another amazing experience here as always.

This restaurant is much larger than I expected. There's a nice bar right when you walk in with plenty of seating, and tables extend toward the back of the restaurant. It also looks like there's a second floor for larger groups or events. The exposed brick gives it that classic Baltimore charm, and I loved the open kitchen because you can see a bit of the food prep while dining in the main area. The wine selection was great, and both the service and food were excellent. The octopus appetizer was my favorite. I personally would have liked a bit more spice in the seafood hot pot, but overall, it was a great dinner experience.

Great brunch spot. Really cute, good food and drinks, and spot on service. Everyone at my table did espresso martinis and we loved the cute designs they put in the foam. We split oysters and they were great, very fresh. I got the chilaquiles and they were very good. It was a good portion size and not too heavy like the dish can be at some places. I would come back!

We came here for the first time this Sunday for Father's Day brunch and really enjoyed it! Our server was fantastic and everyone we interacted with was super friendly and welcoming, even on such a busy day! I had the Killa Bees: The Swarm, it comes in a cute bear honey glass, it was so refreshing. We also had the Prickly Pony Club, which was delicious. The lobster rangoon was so delicious, and the presentation was lovely. The shrimp and oyster gumbo was spicy and savory. For entrees, I really enjoyed the shrimp and asparagus risotto. The shrimp was a bit overcooked but really well spiced, and I think the risotto could have been creamier but that didn't stop me from eating it all. My husband had the Thai pork ribs over rice noodles and it was so good! The pork was tender and it complemented how light the noodles were. I think it could have come with more sauce! I am looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Great experience here. Came for dinner on a Friday. The bar was packed but the restaurant wasn't. Started with the Parker house rolls. They were great & made me want more. The steak frites were cooked well. Had one drink (can't remember the name) but it was pretty and had edible glitter. Also shared a bottle of wine that was recommended by the waiter. Great recommendation and wish I would've written down the name. Would definitely revisit.

Bday dinner ( 7/23/2025 -5:15 pm)Our host was kind and so very charming and attentive. We sat in the beautiful outside area. The ambiance was WONDERFUL. There is a bar outside also; they have a happy hour. The food and drinks were great. There is parking near by at no cost. I will return to Gunthers!

Came here for my friends birthday and it did not disappoint. This was my third time at Gunther & Co and each time has been memorable. The open space in the dining area is truly one of a kind. The service was very attentive and polite. Our waitress was very helpful with menu choices. I had the pork chop and the steak tartare. Both were excellent. The pork chop was a huge portion which was perfect because I was starving. The tartare was very dijon forward but I love dijon so it was amazing.

Basque cheesecake was amazing- not too dense and had subtle flavors that made the dish interesting

I've been really impressed with the reliability of Gunther & Co service and food. They have a great space and service for private parties and events. On top of that, the brunch and dinner services are great. The menus vary seasonally and there's a good variety of dishes to meet anyone's dietary needs and preferences. The drink selection never disappoints either!

Gunther & Co is a great spot in Canton that I'd highly recommend. My boyfriend and I dined here for date night and we had a lovely time. The service was great, everyone was attentive to us despite it being very busy, and all of our food was delightful. The seating arrangements for two-person tables are a bit cramped, but that's to be expected at most places in the city. We started with some cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready - both cocktails were delicious and not too sweet, I could tell they really thought these drinks out. The prices for the cocktails were pretty average for a nice drink at one of these places, so no complaints there. I got the miso cod and boy, it was delicious. Absolutely no complaints - it tasted fresh, was cooked perfectly, and accompanied by great sides. My boyfriend got the duck and it was delightful, too. Something that we both loved was how fresh the ingredients really were. All the produce had great flavor and quality, well worth the price points of the dishes we got. We ended with splitting the cheesecake and it was amazing. The cheesy, rich cheesecake with a fresh chantilly cream, crunchy hazelnut praline, and gooey, thick blueberry compote was a divine combination ! We'll definitely be back!

The service was really nice here. We went on a Wednesday without a reservation and were seated pretty quickly. The food was delicious and it's a nice spot in the canton area. We left the restaurant feeling very satiated and wanting to come back for more :)

This is a great brunch spot in the Canton area. I'd love to come back for dinner since the menu offers more variety.

We had a fabulous meal here for our first visit ever. Emma was our waitress and was absolutely fabulous. Her recommendations were spot on and she was the perfect level of attentiveness. We had the beef tartare appetizer and the duck spring rolls to start. Both very good. Then my daughter had the kids pizza which was HUGE and I had the miso cod. The coconut sauce it was in was fabulous. For dessert we had the peaches and cream and flourless chocolate cake. Both really good but the Peaches was my favorite. All around a great meal!

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.

It's so wonderful to come across genuine people who are funny and kind in this world. Our server and the owner were so fun and so funny and so nice. It truly felt like visiting a friends restaurant. Tomato and burrata/mozarella, and prosciutto and melon. Delicious. 10/10. Prawns: so good, so flavorful, and I typically am not a shrimp/prawn girl. Skirt Steak: this was such a juicy and moist (sorry) steak. I don't like chimmichurri (cannot spell that omg) but it was good! The fries were also a winner. Moroccan Hen: this felt like a cookout bbq to be honest but in the best way. It's super flavorful, very smoky, and SO juicy. Drinks: watermelon marg, orange espresso cocktail, and I cannot remember the blue drinks name but all delicious. I fear this is my fav espresso martini to date. The drink menu did not tickle my fancy so I ended up just having water. The restaurant week menu was a good selection of their regular menu items so it was an opportunity to try something that I could get again. I opted for the tuna as an appetizer, the whole branzino as my entree, and the zalabia for dessert. Everything was delicious! I would have liked the tuna to be more chilled; it came out closer to room temp. I have no notes for the bronzino. It was perfectly cooked, I really love the time and orange, the olive tapenade was the right amount of salty and briny, and the accompanying roasted harissa potatoes were fantastic. I guess if I had any critique it would be of the too skinny and woody asparagus. The dessert was something I'd never heard of, something like Mediterranean donuts. I really love the pistachios and the I think pomegranate sauce (it wasn't described on the menu so Im guessing), but the addition of chocolate was completely unnecessary and I'm not just saying that because I don't like chocolate lol. After dinner me and my dining companion went upstairs to the speakeasy for a cocktail. I was hoping they had a different drink menu and they did! This menu was much more interesting to me and I ended up getting a a well-balanced gin cocktail. I just read that they are closing to relocate so I'm hoping that I'll be able to go again soon.

I asked him if this was the same sent back plate of food and he said "yes" and said the added the avocado. They UNWRAPPED the original wrap and just added the avocado and brought the entire plate back. I immediately questioned how that follows food handling guidelines. If they weren't going to redo the order, they could have just brought avocado slices to the table! The MANAGER had a very dismissive, RUDE attitude and so I sent everything back and left. I did tip the waitress cash because she was great and had got us drinks by that point. Again, she was nice and side-eyed the manager agreeing what he did was not acceptable. Apparently he also had a rep for being rude and nasty. I will never eat there again. You have a kitchen with seafood and meats and have no food handling controls? Yeah, miss me with the risk of food poisoning or cross-contamination. No thank you! You're rude to customers and have no standards? Whoever runs the kitchen should know better as should the manager.
