Brand new Indian grocery store in Winston Salem, and I was impressed at the size of the place and how much stock they had. The best part was how reasonable the prices were in this day and age where everything is so expensive. They have pretty much everything you could ever need, checked off all the spices while I walked around. They carry lentils, marinades, spices, fresh veggies, frozen entrees, frozen meats, freshly made food in the take out area. All the usual flours, rice, snack foods, other health and beauty items and Indian drinks and ice cream. They seemed to be adding more stock still. It was really nice to see a place where everything looked fresh, new and well organized. They seemed very friendly too . I took my Mom who knows all things Indian, and she thought the place was great so that's a thumbs up for me! Much better than the other store that is in town, and cheaper! Not in the greatest part of town but the space is good and they have a huge parking lot. Glad we discovered this place!

On our most recent visit, I wasn't super hungry so I just got a loaded baked potato with a side of chips and queso. I also found my drink of the summer - the LASSO LAVENDER GIN FIZZ. It's made with Gin, Lavender-Butterfly Pea, Lemon and Soda Water and is lovely to look at and delightful to sip.

Grapefruit was too tart - worst one. Strawberry was okay. I also tried a cocktail bluebonnet, which was tasty. Refreshing and light in taste. My fiancé had the downeast raspberry cider, which was really good. As far as food, I had the salmon tacos without avocado crema, sour cream, and guacamole. What was left was a juicy piece of smoked salmon. Parts were crunchy and my fear was that there were bones, but once I figured out it was just texture, the food was enjoyable. My fiancé ordered the lil sampler with brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and sausage. Chicken was dry, brisket was good, pork was flavorful and his favorite, and sausage was a little dry. Overall, I'd get my meal again but he would not because he knows what he wants. Nevertheless, sampler was great for our first time, so he could try a little of everything. He also ordered the brisket empanadas. They were crunchy, flavorful, and good amount of cheese to meat ratio. Would get again. There would be moments of a lot of people, but the service was still good. We would finish something, and someone would be right over to take it away. They also had cotton candy, even though we didn't get any, it created a nice, fun feel to the place. We watched soccer and had a great time. Even the music was setting the great tone. We will come back if we have time while we're in town.

How have I not left this place a review I'm here at least twice a week!…read more You want to have the best chai latte, the best mocha lattes? Mind-blowing spanikopitas, dolmades, tyropitas? And a huge selection of Greek groceries and meats? Run to the Greek Market! Greek market is family owned, they are just the most friendliest people. There is minimal seating indoors and outdoors, they're expanding their groceries. Now they boast handmade soaps and also have a whole aisle for Greek wines as well. Everything I've had here is spot on. Go and check them out! They won't disappoint!

I picked up what I'd intended - Spanakopita ( they will heat it for you to dine in), Dolmades ( firm and flavorful), both Black & Green Olives, and a 25.5 oz container of Feta (silky with a salty flavor). There is a small, but very nice area to dine in with coffee or tea, and Spanakopita or a pastry - I cut into my heated Spanakopita there - so cool! This place is a Foodie Magnet, for sure. Second, I did try their fried chicken finally a while back, and it was decent - though not world changing (3 stars for the chicken). Third - and the reason I'm giving them 4 stars - is their Dubai bar. I've had Dubai bars from a fair number of places in multiple states by now, and this is easily the best one I've had! And I've had it several times now! The price for the size of it is very decent at $12.50, and as you can see it is large, just like my banana! :) And the pistachio crème in that cross section is generously filled and delicious! It is melty and gooey and just a terrific treat! When I think Dubai bar and what a standard chocolate bar with pistachio crème ought to be, this is it. Inside of the store is still trashy though. But I'm happy to run in, buy a Dubai bar, and get out.

Both the chicken and wedges are hand battered and seasoned well. Definitely check them out. Don't let the appearance of the building sway you. It is the best chicken ever. Give their fried okra and chicken nuggets a try as well.
