Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Kadai, Garlic Naan
    Vanessa A.

I wanted to give this place a couple of Try's before doing my review. Today was my third time here, and it was as great as the previous ones. First they start you off with complimentary appetizer of three different sauces accompanied by a thin spiced chip (I think is called papad). We also ordered as appetizer the C-MoMo Himalayan dumplings which are a burst of flavor! For our entries the lunch chicken tika masala and lamb kadai which are great in portion and come with a side of rice. I will say if you are not used to spice make sure you start with a lower level as it can definitely have a kick! But flavor wise is delicious ! Service is also great ! Staff is always attentive and friendly. The place is clean and has great ambience. Will definitely be coming back as is one of my favorite Indian spots to go to.

    BASIL NAAN

This place is apparently Nepali, and I had come seeking more of the Chinese side that cuisine than the Indian. What I discovered upon arrival was a menu which clearly labeled various vegan, and gluten-free options, which apparently no longer included any of the tofu dishes despite earlier menus having been different. I was a tad disappointed, but decided to sample their rendition of more Indian style dishes. Their version of Bhindi masala had the okra cut length wise, which was an interesting choice. I asked for a high spice level and found it rather than moderate. Ordering a mulligatawny soup yielded a surprising variety of vegetables for a soup that is usually mostly lentils, but that's no problem by me. They offered the option to get a naan stuffed with basil leaves, and it smelled strongly of fresh basil. The setting was quite pleasant and the service attentive. I would just have been a little bit happier if the menu had allowed me to mix the more Indian style dishes with some stirfry tofu.

Great friendly customer service. Sat right away. Plenty of menu options. Bar spirits available. Best part was they offer gluten free/ vegan options as well. Not too noisy. Kind of quiet. We ordered the curry and lamb. Definitely a great option here in the Winston Salem area.

We ordered takeout here and got there a bit early to pick it up. The ambience inside was nice and the restaurant was nicely decorated. The service behind the bar was absolutely fantastic and they gave us a free mango lassi while we waited despite us being the ones that got there early. The mango lassi was not too sweet, which I loved! We ordered the steamed chicken momo and the chili paneer. The chicken momos were okay, but the chili paneer was the star of the show. That was absolutely delicious and something I definitely will order again. They also gave us free papadum with the meal which was a great touch! Would I come back? Absolutely 100%! With such incredible service and delicious food this absolutely will be a place we come back to more than once. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

So excited to eat here and boy! It did not disappoint. I got to the restaurant before my friend and her 1-year-old and was greeted kindly as if I was family. The server/manager(?) deposited me into a beautiful, comfortable, and clean booth. The dining room is equally lovely--floor to ceiling windows with airy white drapes accented by red floral decorations and dark seating. My friend and I ordered 5 different dishes with naan and every single one was delicious. We started with vegetable pakora, c-mo:mo chicken, and the alu tikki chat. The pakora was perfectly crunchy, the alu tikki chat was wonderfully complex and flavorful as well as texturally delightful--perfectly cooked chickpeas in a fragrant sauce over crispy potatoes that STAY crispy even under that delicious sauce. Amazing. But the c-mo:mo is a MUST try. So delicious and different from any dumpling that I've had before. The filling is satisfying and the wrapper is the perfect amount of firm but chewy. The tomato sauce that they're served in makes them so unique and A TREAT! My friend got the lamb balti and liked it a lot. I got the goat madras curry. The meat was delicious, fall apart tender and unctuous. The sauce was hot and deliciously spicy. This is a spot you CANNOT skip out on. Service is 10/10, the restaurant is elegant, the food is mouthwatering. Just go!

Loved coming here after a hike, their sister restaurant just opened up in Greensboro and I wanted to try out their first one in Winston! Everything was top notch. No wonder they opened up another location! We got their paneer Tikka masala, and their chili paneer for an appetizer. Both dishes were very flavorful and I loved that they boasted vegan options too. The chef kept coming out to make sure the food was great and the service was phenomenal!

This place is consistently amazing! Flavors, service, variety, it just improves every time I come here . The staff and owner always check on us all the time. The food comes out hot and fresh and when we ask for extra extra spicy they deliver ! I love they've added new artwork to the decor. The place was packed on a Saturday evening and you can see why when you eat here. Frankly my number one choice for great Indian food outside of my own house !!

Everything was amazing! It was my first experience eating Indian food. The service was on point, the food was fresh, and the sweet iced tea was the best tea I had ever had! The atmosphere was very welcoming and clean. I will definitely make the 45 minute drive to visit again!

One of my all time favorite restaurant experiences. This my 2nd time at CURRY AND NOODLE was s satisfying as the first a year prior at . The owners / operators are beyond fantastic. If memory serves me correctly they are actually from Nepal not India. Nonetheless their Indian dishes are perfection. And they offer Thai and Chinese dishes, which I haven't tried or seen but based on my and shared experiences the sampled food was exemplary. There for a birthday celebration and couldn't have a better restaurant to do it at. It felt like a wonderful spectacle. Though the restaurant was packed with other diners service to us was excellent almost festive. The owner and staff were / are so engaging with conversation and explaining their offerings. And radiate pleasantness. Almost felt like they were part of the celebration all the while they kept the rest of the restaurant operations running well. Many at our table ordered entrees that literally sizzled and smoked which felt like celebratory energy. The aroma was / is positively captivating along with the colors of the food. And they accommodated our very large gathering, superbly. The first time Sandy and I were there was not nearly as busy and the owners engaged us so nicely that made us feel like family. Got a chance to chat more and learn about Nepal and their culture. The food both times was top notch, filling and a great value. Went home satisfied and took home remainder which made a good next day lunch. Say go and I will be ready to repeat at NOODLE & CURRY.

The other dishes had good flavor, but a couple things missed the mark for me. The samosa chaat was solid, but the texture felt like it had been sitting for a while -- it was extra mushy and didn't have the freshness I was hoping for. The cauliflower dish was similar; the inside was very soft/mushy and there was quite a bit of breading compared to the actual cauliflower. Overall, still a solid meal and I'd give this place 4 stars based on this experience. That said, having recently tried Taza and Curry/Noodle, I personally preferred those spots more from my experience. I'd still be open to coming back and trying other dishes.

I ordered the honey cauliflower, garlic naan, veggie samosa, chicken lollipops, crispy okra, and paneer saag. A friend recommended this place, and somehow I managed to eat all of this by myself because it was just so good! The honey cauliflower was the standout for me. The pieces were big, perfectly crispy, and had a great balance of flavor without feeling overly breaded. The veggie samosa was also really well done, with a good filling-to-breading ratio. The chicken lollipops were exactly what I was hoping for, and the crispy okra was another highlight because it wasn't weighed down by too much breading. The only thing I didn't personally love was the paneer saag, but that was more on me because I didn't really read the description before ordering and it just wasn't what I was expecting. I had read a few recent reviews that were quite positive, so I decided to try again. I decided on two dishes - Navratan Korma and the Non-vegetarian Thali (a dish I try whenever I find it, which is not often). The time out of the kitchen was very nice, less than 20 minutes! Thali means plate or tray, it is usually round, and this dish is meant to contain a number of items providing multi flavors and textures. Each region in South Asia and Southeast Asia has its own version, and even within a region there are many variations, as to number of items and the variety of item. The version here is rather simple and small, reducing the variety of flavors and textures which is at the heart of this meal. Here it is served in a compartmentalized, rectangular metal tray. What I was served contained Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, stewed Black Lentils, Basmati Rice, and plain Naan - there were no dips or sauces - as I said, simple and small! I had no say on what items the Thali contained! While nothing was bad, nothing was OMG either - across the board rather above average items. The Rice Pudding was nice and there was a very good amount. The Navratan Korma was solid, but did not quite rise to the level of that at either Saffron or Curry and Noodle in WS, or Lemon in Greensboro, or Salt and Pepper in High Point. There were plenty of veggies, but the korma sauce lacked substance. I would do this again, and will most likely try the Vegetable Thali.

A chai came in a small size known as a cutting chai, and was strong and not that sweet. I ordered a range of classics and had leftovers for several days. When you order the high spice level here, you do get it. I particularly enjoy a mouthwatering dal with various spice notes, and their aloo tikki chaat was substantial. Their take on okra was a bit oily for me and I would have preferred more paneer in the paneer dish, and in general, the cuisine was a bit on the indulgent side. Given that I needed a lot of vegetarian food in a hurry, this option was successful.

My wife got the General Tsos chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. I got the Szechuan beef with fried rice and it was delicious. Their beef is always cooked very well for thin cuts. Not chewy, very tender and flavorful. The veggies that come with it, the sliced celery, green peppers and carrots were cooked a little under to my liking, but it paired well with the beef flavor and the sauce its prepared in. Didn't get the chance to taste any of my wife's food but she was happy with it. Their food is always prepared very well anyways, so it was no surprise. Wasn't much of a lunchtime crowd, so the setting was quiet and we enjoyed it. I wish they'd bring their Sunday buffet back. Pre covid, we would visit them after church often and got to sample most of everything on their menu, which was also very good as well. That's the only complaint I have I suppose.

When we ordered, the server explained the 1-5 spice scale, gave recommendations, and even asked about allergies. After the food came out, he continued to check on us. This is definitely not one of those "abandoned in the corner and ignored" type of establishments. We started with an order of chili paneer, with spice level 2. It was perfectly crunchy and super flavorful. Level 2 has a nice kick to it if you sit for a minute between bites, but it doesn't necessarily light you up either. It is a great level if you're sharing something with someone a little more spice-hesitant. I love paneer, and this appetizer had a generous portion that could easily be a meal for 1 person. For my main, I got the Chana masala, spice level 3. This was absolutely delicious! Spicy, warm, flavorful. Chickpeas had the perfect texture -- not too hard nor too mushy. As a spicy food enjoyer, level 3 was a nice level that is hot and ~just~ starts to make my face flush, but isn't overpowering. A "conversational" level if you will. I could easily order this on a work lunch and could still eat with decorum. We also got garlic naan, which is always a hit, but done absolutely perfectly here.
