Dr. Woodruff is great and works with you to get the best vision you can. I had to try a few different manufacturers of contact lenses to find a new, good fit! i would recommend them for your eye care needs!

Customer service, empathy or concern for actually following their own established policies seems to be selective. At the very minimum the staff is rude and biased. At the horrendously worst they are racially judgmental. Speaking very calm I was told that I was getting loud and angry. Immediately I was told that no longer discussion was warranted and that I needed to talk to the office manager due to my "heated and loud" demeanor. I deal in conflict management daily at my job and even informed the clerk that I was displeased at the situation, but that a disagreeing perspective does not equate to loud or even angry in tone. I have had mixed experiences with the staff during my 15 plus years of treatment, but have never been treated like this. There generally has been a feeling of greater than thou or elitism instead of an everyone is welcome attitude. I at first equated that to having government insurance. I now have exceptional corporate insurance and treatment was not any different. I would have left and went elsewhere a long time ago if not for the care I received from my doctor. Dr. Woodruff has always been incredibly kind and caring. However, I will not be stereotyped. I am the very last to bring classism, race or any other type of prejudiced accusations into a situation unjustly but today's experience was putrid. To the office's credit, I could have been seen and dealt with the attitudes if I myself had been to my appointment exactly on time or early. That is on me. I fully take that responsibility. Oh well. I may make a BBB complaint as well but there are plenty other eyecare facilities. My treatment will have to be postponed for another month or so and I am thankful it wasn't excessively, medically urgent. Except for possibly picking up my records; I will NOT be back her again. Sad.

Two weeks later my call was returned to hear yes glasses can be picked up! The following week I take the two hour trip to pick up my mom's glasses! I arrived during normal business hours! The Optical shop at Medical Arts building was closed! Two returned calls later I was unable to pick up mothers glasses!. From beginning to end of this event the Optican demonstrated a lack of respect toward my mother, was unreliable and generally gave poor service! Two awesome doctors. Taustine Eye Center is now called Kentucky Eye Care on the first floor. When it was Taustine Eye Center I used to see Robert Williams & then Greg Sulkowski when Williams retired. Williams was the best doctor. Sulkowski moved to another eye center office. I really missed this office and haven't been able to connect with another doctor outside this office since Williams. But recently I got to return to this office and got to see Dr Nandini Menon. I think I have found my new eye doctor. She took the time to explain everything and very knowledgable. The front desk has always been friendly over the phone or in-person during the many years I've called or visited. My appointment times have always been kept and they always pull me back quickly when I arrive. Good locations in Louisville available in mideast-north off Eastern Pkwy and also in the South area. They deal with a variety of eye chronic issues, glasses, and regular eye exams, depending on which doctor you are seen by.
