This is still a decent shop, living on its past good name..but declining in quality. I get the 16$+ wash + the 7$+ internal cleaning. Unfortunately, the wheels are never cleaned very well, and there is always significant grime left. The reason is that they rush through the cleaning and the prewash hand spray of the wheels is never done consistently or thoroughly. They should also use a new towel for every car (they used to), to avoid scratching some of the expensive cars that come by. On the positive side, their automated equipment is of excellent quality. read more

I love in the Hills in Bedminster but go elsewhere for my car washes. The wait is too long in line and the prices are too high. Just because this is Bedminster, not everyone is wealthy here. The Super Car Wash in Bridgewater is good and for 6 bucks I can get a hand wash in Raritan out from of the Stop n Shop. read more

I was having an issue with acid rain water spots on my green with envy Dodge challenger SRT. Everything I tried I could not get out the water spots, one detailer in Hillsborough wanted $1000 to fix my paint. A guy at work recommended Gus & Bucky's boy am I glad he did. Jonathan Viguez was awesome he explained the entire detailing process to me and when I got my car back the water spots were gone. The car looked brand new and he did it for a fair and reasonable price. I could not be more happy and will definitely be recommending Gus & Bucky's and especially Jonathan to my friends. I went to Bucky's today a little after 12pm I got the Bucky's Wash, plus interior. It cost me 25 dollars. It seemed to me the only thing they did good was charge a lot. I been going to different car Washes every 2 to 3 days because of the salt on the roads. So my car is pretty clean. I had no mats in the car so I figured something less for them to do. Of course my car was empty inside. Nothing to get in the way of them vacuuming. I am considerate of all workers everywhere. It seemed to me they just did a quick wipe down in the interior. And on the exterior they just rushed to dry it. I could see a lot of brown on the exterior of the car. I paid for the Bucky's wash because they are supposed to clean more. They should have prepped it before it went in the car wash. Their words...on their advertisement..and I did not see how they cleaned the undercarriage of the car. I am a Bedminster Resident so I figured I'd support local business.I am used to getting good car washes. I can vouch for McFarland's in Bridgewater. I like the Car wash in Newark Airport..Most of the time open 24 hours. Their night time special is 6 dollars. Interior and exterior I like the car wash on 1 and 9 in Elizabeth,Chester Carwash.Flores Car wash in Jersey City. The worse was the staff had attitude when charging me. Like I was gonna stiff them on the bill or something. Almost Barking at me to make sure I pay first before anything. When I was patiently standing there next to the attendant. I also waited in line patiently for close to a half-hour. I am considerate of workers everywhere like I said before, that is why I chose to go today when it got warmer. The way I see it they do not appreciate customers at Bucky's. Save the hassle and and your money...I recommend to go to any other car wash. Thank you. read more

That's it... I gave this place a few opportunities to provide even just adequate service but that is a stretch here. I live in town so I come intending to be in and out...no chance... No matter what time you go there is a line... Not just due to demand but because the line moves extremely slow...run the track a lil faster or something. Once your car gets in there the first power jet facing the window is busted it just shoots high pressure water ripping under your moldings etc... I pay for their highest service minus interior... Yet I don't see much going on other than the same typical wash... Get some blinking lights in there make me feel like I'm getting extra stuff. Next they pull my sub up into a space where they are supposed to towel dry your car and use compressed air.. Wipe down wheels, shine tires you know as described in the package I paid for. My cat sits unattended for atleast 5 or so minutes... Finally knowing better now I grab a towel I brought and start wiping my car down by myself. Then one dude does a once over while singing to himself ( easy bud don't work too hard), while about 4 women are wiping down the same compact car for about the same amount of time. I got fed up when the next car pulled up in the space behind me. I tip well every time because I know people are trying to make a living here but management needs to change their procedures, repair their broken water jet befor it damages a car, and please mark a window with something saying give this car what it paid for. Lesson learned: go to Bernardsville Carwash... I rather drive up there for a quality wash and a place to vacuum myself. Probably would make it back home faster too... Gus=fail. read more

I'm a car guy and also live around the block from Gus & Bucky's Car Wash so naturally, I figured I'd give it a shot for convenience's sake. The first visit wasn't bad; it was on par with your run-of-the-mill machine car wash; some water spots on the paint, wheel dust residue on the wheels from where the machines couldn't get the nooks and crannies. The second time was less satisfactory, during which I paid for the "Bucky's Wash" which includes tire shine application as well as air compressor treatment to blow away excess water; however, much to my surprise, I was deprived of such services - I left without complaining as I was in a rush and waited long enough. The third (and final) visit went from bad to worse; after waiting on a 30 minute queue of only 8 cars ahead of me, I purchased the "Gus's Wash" which includes a towel dry. After waiting 5 minutes in the staging area post wash, and watching 3 other cars get dried, while the water began to dry and spot up on my car, I had had enough. I approached the "manager," John, who clearly hasn't had any customer service training: When I politely told him about the previous experience being denied services included in the Bucky's Wash, he told me I hadn't followed procedure (apparently exiting the vehicle and leaving the door open - which I wasn't instructed to do) in an accusatory tone. I then advised him of my current wait time to receive a towel dry to which he advised me that I had to wait as there were personnel for different types of drying (windows, paint, etc.). No apology for my inconvenience; no recompense for their prior lack of delivery on promised services; only an attitude not befitting a manager. John, however, was very attentive to the Porsche GT3 owner behind me. I will never return to this car wash, and I advise you to avoid it if you value an honorable business that respects and appreciates its customers. read more

Not going back any time soon unless desperate and I live in basking ridge close by. I pulled in and got out of the car. The attendant didn't even look me in the eye and was gruff and needs a lesson in service. I looked up at the 3 options (there used to be more) and the price option I used to select is gone. When I asked where the other option was he didn't even look at me and said "that's all we got". Rude ! Price on a $16 was and vac jumped to $23. Service was OK but there was still dust on back seat and center console was still dusty. read more

The best car wash in the world. Every time I go the car comes out perfect. They use an air gun to clean the inside and the water from the doors and windows. My black car never has running water or any dust and dirt inside. They are the best thank you Gus and Bucky. read more

I am a car fanatic and i love to keep my car clean. I have been to many car washes in my life and this one is the worst for the amount they are charging. Each wash costs between $7-$16. I have recently realized that with a $14 wash, your car ONLY gets sprayed with water! No soap, no shampoo, nothing! Of course many people do not know this because they never watch their car go through the wash as it is the workers who put your car through and you do not get to drive it yourself! After realizing that my car was only being sprayed with water with a $14 price tag, i found out that, you do indeed only get water for that much money. On the board specifying the wash types and rates, the most expensive wash which is almost $18 after tax includes so called "Triple Polish". Upon my inquiry for an explanation on this polish, i was informed that this is the wash tht contains shampoo! "Polishing" does not mean "shampooing". The rates and explanations are completely deceiving. When i asked if i could pay the $3 difference and go through one more time i was told i had to pay it all over again. I have washed my CARS at many places and even the cheapest washes provided some sort of shampoo. What else would take the grease and dirt off? Anyone can wash their car with only water. Save your precious bills and avoid this place at all cost. read more
