Highly recommend! After having an issue with the dealership not properly diagnosing my car, I took it to Gus's. Full disclosure I was fine overpaying for the convenience of taking it to the dealer as I would get a loaner and be on my way. However, my car wasn't fixed the last time I took it to the dealership. I took it to Gus's and rented a car from Hertz in the same plaza, super convenient! Gus cleared the codes, drove my car twice, and did some troubleshooting. Clearing the codes has seemed to fix the issue. He said I'm 50/50 this is the problem but drive it and if issues, please bring it back. He could have easily told me I needed the repair done. He gave me an estimate, so i'm aware. He did NOT charge me to diagnose my car. He does everything from oil changes to headlights (not an easy swap in my car), to major repairs. I won't take my car anywhere else at this point and wish I would have taken my car to him years ago! You will not be disappointed. Again, highly recommend! read more

Gus contacted Mercedes Benz of Naperville (across the street) and confirmed they had the part* needed and guided me through the process of making an appointment. Gus does a great job. His is factory trained and knows what he is doing. He only fixes what needs to be fixed and is very knowledgeable about how to fix German makes. Been going to Gus for about 2 years. I don't normally write reviews, but Gus earned it. My wife owns a 2012 Mercedes C300. I dropped her car off around 8am and was done around 12pm to get some basic maintenance done. The driver side door wouldn't lock/unlock any more. Been like that for a month and was fiddling with it that very morning. I pick up my car after dropping it off in the morning and I attempt to open my door and it was locked. Confused at first I then realized Gus fixed it without even telling me or asking for an additional service fee. I didn't even mention the lock was malfunctioning. He treats your vehicle like it's his own. Definitely the only place I will be servicing our car. read more

I could not be more pleased with the service I get for my 2006 BMW X3 with Gus! I had been taking my vehicle to the dealership for repairs and it was so expensive (never under $2000) I was contemplating getting rid of the car entirely (i.e. monthly car payment for a new car)! A friend from work recommended I look into having it serviced with Gus. He did the repair AND he assessed the vehicle on the first visit and gave it an overall clean bill of health, so now I will keep the vehicle for a couple more years and let Gus handle anything that pops up! He does an excellent job of assessing the problem and coming up with a repair that fixes the problem without telling me I need to completely replace an entire system. One such situation was on that very first visit when my exhaust system had started making noise. He identified the source of the sound leak and was able to cut off the rusted bolts and replace them. I am sure the dealership would have told me I needed an entirely new exhaust system but Gus only charged me for the labor to weld on the new bolts. And yesterday I brought it in for a hood that wouldn't stay latched, a leak in the washer fluid system, and a headlight out. I left with a bill under $150! He is the most honest and fair car repair service you can ask for. He explains exactly what is wrong and what repair he needs to do and what it will cost. No hidden "surprise" costs to drive the final bill up. I feel confident that if/when something larger does come up with this older BMW he will do the repair as economically as possible and do a quality repair. I will definitely continue to use Gus for all my repairs but I felt the other thing I owe Gus is to spread the word so others looking for a good repairman for their import vehicle can feel confident taking their vehicle to him! Highly Recommended! After ending my lease on a fully factory warrantied Jeep Cherokee, I replaced it with a gently used BMW X5 with 60k miles on it. About a year and a half into my purchase I began to have issues with my battery which BMW told me would be a ridiculous $650 to replace. I immediately began to search for a foreign car repair dealer and came across Gus Auto. Gus quoted me a price $200 less and I quickly made my appt. His shop is easy to find, nice and cozy with one of the most beautiful bathrooms I've ever seen in a repair shop. While my car was repaired, I kicked back with a cup of coffee and logged in to do some work. The repair was done within an hour and ended up costing $40 less than expected. This is where Gus has completely won me over. I was fully prepared to pay the original price quoted..... however, Gus was happy to let me know about the savings and reduce my payment. He could have easily kept the original price and pocketed the $40 bucks. This speaks volumes about his honestly, integrity, and customer service. Car repair men get a bad rap rightfully so but I feel so lucky to have found someone so close who has proven to be trustworthy. Gus is Awesome!!! A friend of mine was looking for a mechanic for her 05 BMW X3 so I asked a few friends and they recommended Gus. So I read the reviews and sent her the information. Before she even dropped the car off he was getting as much information about her problem as possible.
