I like the salad bar that has all the offering. The beef kofta was good, but a bit under seasoned as well as the chicken samosa. Beef kofta and lamb over rice tasted a bit healthier by using leaner meat, hence a nicer texture. The chicken tikka was a bit dry and under seasoned as well. I really enjoyed the rice and salad that went along with the meal. The lamb over rice was better tasting than the usually halal cart. I really enjoyed the sauce that was put on the side to go with my meal. I was a bit sad when the beef kofta and chicken tikka didn't come with bread. I will come back for healthier halal option. Also, it was a friendly service.

Crunchy on the outside and the inside had bits of chickpeas and a great texture. The combo of chicken and lamb over rice was a refreshing take. The gyro meat was soft and tasty, rice was seasoned and fluffy. The pickled veggies were delicious and perfect to cut down on the heaviness of the meal. Overall a lovely lunch for $13 total (paid in cash)

Then I see the delivery bag stamped Mr. Banh Mi in my daydream and remember the Breakfast Banh Mi! I love their two breakfast options so much that I alternate my order when I'm in that Banh mi state of mind. BREAKFAST Two fried runny eggs, spam, mayo ucumbers, pickled daikon & carrots and cilantro served on a toasted French Baguette. OR EGGCELLENT Two fried runny eggs, BBQ pork, mayo, cucumbers, pickled daikon & carrots, and cilantro served on a toasted French baguette. Today there was a discount on the Eggcellent Banh mi and I ordered it. My dreams turned into reality. That first bite: toasted French Baguette crunch, BBQ pork with mayo and the shredded carrots. The best part, the runny eggs that I can dip my baguette ends on. Total perfection! I cannot emphasize that these are one of the top places for me to order Banh mi's from. Consistently fresh and delicious! I want to dine IRL so I can feed my wooziness in their restaurant. Check out the menu for all of their delicious options. **review for delivery only

Open kitchen and limited amount of seats let us keep the place cozy and intimate, just like home. We make sure to buy from local purveyors, coffee roasters, and bakers." Home is where the heart is and there is nothing quite like a home cooked meal. I have to say most Bay Ridgians enjoy dining local and in our neighborhood. I love to support neighborhood gems because majority of restaurant owners here, love their clients, establish loyalty through cooking delicious food and provide consistent great customer service. I was in the mood for a " comfort food"breakfast, you know, eggs, avocado, mozzarella, tomato, deliciousness and I found it on the menu simply named "Breakfast Sandwich". Which consists of voila: Mozzarella, avocado, tomato jam, arugula, crispy bacon, dijonaise, sunny side up egg between multigrain toasts. I ordered this sans the bacon ( requested turkey bacon which they do not have). What arrived in my plate was this decadent open faced egg sandwich that looked delectable.. and was!! Let's first talk about the wheat toast: I tasted it naked and it simply melted in my mouth. The ingredients worked well together, perfect synchronicity. I used one half of the toast to sop up any fallen ingredients. Highly recommend! For a drink, I wanted something a bit different, thus, ordered the Mango Mint Peach tea, fruity with a hint of mint. Loved it and went well with the Sammy! There are lovely options besides breakfast sandwiches like quinoa, oatmeal, granola, pancakes, French toast.. breakfast is served all day and lunch is served @noon. I arrived before 12 and was told I can order breakfast or lunch. It has a cozy, intimate vibe which I love.. one where you can dine solo, or do work or read or just enjoy the fabulous food. I will make "The Common" my home away from home. Additionally, there are cooking classes in their Park Slope location; the courses look great: Italian feast, Moroccan cooking, Wine Pairing and many more. Check out their website for more info. More to come from me.. The Common is located on 9406 3rd Avenue

We ordered the chicken liver mousse, crispy potato tart, and burger. The chicken liver mousse is a must order and something I get every time I come here, whether it is this location or the Park Slope one. The mousse itself is rich, creamy, savory, and packed with umami. I just wish it came with something better on the side. The pita was a little underwhelming and was not warmed all the way through. The crispy potato tart was excellent. The potato was super crispy, and a bite with the salmon, egg, sour cream, and potato together was perfect. The lightly dressed arugula helped cut through the richness and made for a nice palate cleanser. The burger looked pretty simple when it arrived, but it ended up being surprisingly good. The patty was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Overall, a great neighborhood spot and one I would happily come back to.
