This is not my go to pizzeria and the reviews are very mixed. In my opinion the place needs a facelift although the food is good. I usually just stop by to have a slice to go and that's it. If you can get paste the decor you will be fine. I did have a great experience on my last visit and that's why I'm writing the review. I came by for one of their chicken fajita slices which was great the last time I had it. The time was around 9:00 pm and they were out. The pizza man behind the counter offered to make me a few individual slices. Now that's going out of your way to delivery outstanding customer service. As it was a cold night I decided to order their minestrone soup which was tomato based and was freshly made. It was great. Even though I don't think they offer waiter service the woman behind the counter brought everything over to the table. Very cordial and nice. The prices were extremely reasonable, the soup came with warm Italian bread and the pizza was awesome. The pizza and soup came out in a shorter amount of time than I would have expected. I live in the neighborhood..I have been ordering food from here once a week for years..When I ordered my meal tonight they left out the seltzer..When I called to tell them the person who answered the phone was soon nasty and hung up on me twice..He was talking fast and with his accent I asked him to repeat himself so he got annoyed and spoke to me like garbage..I never ever complain..but this is the 3rd time this person hung up on me because I asked a question..it really upset me..The delivery person said we told him never to answer the phone..so obviously there's been other issues with this worker..I will NEVER NEVER EVER order food from this place again...there not the only game in town!! read more

I was working at PS 229, doing several Lunch & Learn presentations for teachers. I asked the Principal for the name of a nearby pizza place that they usually ordered delivery from. He gave this place's name. I called yesterday & placed the order. I needed 3 different delivery times & they were happy to oblige. On presentation day, the food came on time & hot. The delivery guy was friendly and placed the food & soda exactly where I asked him to place it. I did manage to sneak a couple of slices between sessions. Pretty good. This is the family go to pizzerias during covid. Pizza is not bad especially with their family specials. Also the panini's are stuffed with chicken unlike competing pizzerias around the neighborhood. Prices are great with the specials so check this place out. read more

I placed an online order through GrubHub for pickup for lunch since I was hungry and at the spur of the moment just thought why not my local pizza joint. I've been here more than once. Decor - The outside of the restaurant is fairly well kept and presentable. Once inside there is seating to the left and a standing area to the right where you can place orders and pick-up orders. They have their selection of special pizza's on display by pies but sliced up ready to throw into the oven and order along with some calzones and rolls on display. Service - Friendly service and attentive. They greet you once they see you and ask what would you like to order. They don't rush you even if you're standing around. This seems to be a seat yourself pizza restaurant as all majority local shops are. So there would be no waiter service here. I've never eaten in here, majority it is always take-out. Price - Fairly reasonable for this area. Much cheaper than the city of course. I ordered (1) slice of regular pizza for $2.30, a Chicken Parmigiana hero for $7.50 and (1) potato croquette for $0.80. Total was $11 and change but I had a discount from GrubHub so my order came out to $6 and change. Portion - The size is comparable to a regular slice in the $1.00 pizza shops in the city. Nothing special. The Chicken Parmigiana was a good size for a hero, had a couple of chicken cutlets inside along with an average amount of mozzarella cheese and marina sauce. The potato croquette was the size of a small hot dog. Just stuffed with potato the outside layer was a thin bread crumbed layer. Taste - The chicken was not too dry with not too much sauce to over salt your taste buds. Good amount of cheese to mix in with the sauce and chicken. The regular slice had a good amount of cheese and sauce mixed in. Again nothing special for a regular slice. The potato croquette I'm really not a fan of. It was stuffed with potato filling and the layer outside was soft. I didn't really like the taste of it, it had a bland taste to it. It definitely needed some sauce to go with it, but there wasn't any. Overall - Your average go to local pizza joint if you're in the area and crazy for a regular slice pizza or hero and not that papa john's crap. Average pricing for a local pizza shop in the Bensonhurst area. I definitely would order from here again if I'm craving for a regular slice of pizza or a nice hero. read more

Decent pizza joint, they have a nice space by Dyker Park that used to be a Chinese food spot many years ago. There's plenty of room to sit and eat along with a private party area in the back. Standard round pie is good, on par with many of the other pizza joints in the area (see what i did there?) It's a popular spot with the kids coming out of school on weekdays so prepared for loudness and on and off crowding during the times when school is let out. I'm not a fan of their Sicilian pies but the chicken rolls and calzones are pretty good, Solid overall spot if it's convenient for you. read more

The minute I walked in and saw the vegetables slice of pizza, I wanted a slice but I wasn't in the mood for pizza so Had the small spinach roll for $ .80 and garlic knots for $1.50. First time ordering from here and definitely my last!! My partner and I were torn between subs and pizza for dinner and found this place on Grubhub. The menu and reviews seemed decent enough so we figured we'd go for it. I ordered an Italian Combo sub and asked to substitute provolone cheese with muenster. I added a can of orange soda to go with it. My partner ordered a sausage parm along with a bottle of cream soda. We settled on splitting mozzarella sticks, garlic knots and an order of mini bites and made a note for each order to add a side of marinara sauce for dipping. As soon as the food arrived we noticed that the bottle of cream soda wasn't included and neither were any of the marinara sauce sides we asked for. No big deal, we figured we'd just call the place to let them know and see if they could just redeliver the missing items. Immediately the man on the phone started to argue with me saying that I never ordered the bottle of cream soda, only the orange can. I told them that this wasn't the case, and they proceeded to get more aggressive. It's bad enough the man I was speaking to was talking down to me in a condescending tone, but I could hear another woman and man in the back yelling over him into the phone saying "tell her to look at the receipt she didn't order any bottle, she got her can she didn't order any bottle!!". I asked the man to tell whoever was yelling over me to stop as they were being incredibly disrespectful and that I am simply trying to explain the missing items from my order, to which he responded that I should "just open up my phone and look more closely at the receipt because I wasn't charged for any bottle". I tried to explain to him that I had my Grubhub order receipt open on the computer and clearly saw that I was charged for the bottle of cream soda, to which he proceeded to talk over me telling me I'm not looking hard enough because on their end I got everything I needed. He was completely rude and continued talking over me and telling me I was wrong. There was absolutely zero desire to even attempt to tend to the issue at hand on their part. Frustrated, I hung up the phone and decided to contact Grubhub. I did not pay $30 to be yelled at and called a liar over something as minuscule as a soda bottle. The missing items themselves weren't even that big of an issue but their response left me in absolute shock at the horrendous customer service and lack of professionalism. While trying to get this matter resolved with the help of a very apologetic Grubhub rep (who by the way confirmed our cream soda bottle and additional sauce orders), I realized that my hero came with no mayo whatsoever and was burnt. It was the driest hero I've ever tasted, and they didn't even bother replacing the provolone cheese with muenster as I had noted on the order. It's as if they didn't bother reading any of the instructions we had provided and just proceeded to pack up and deliver whatever they saw fit. We were advised by the Grubhub rep that the manager agreed to refund just the missing the soda bottle. No apologies or anything. The mozzarella sticks were cold and dry and while the mini bites were pretty good the rest of the meal went down much like the pizzeria's behavior and customer service attitude- completely distasteful. This is a story about the delivery man who was "too new" to realize that stealing is not ok. Also known as- the worst customer service of all time, ever. It all began on a snowy night, a friend and I decided that the only thing that would warm our cold hearts would be a delicious slice of pizza. It's late, not much is open, but Bklyns pizza is, and the reviews aren't bad. I order a pie on seamless, pay with my card, and wait for it's arrival. A little over an hour later a decent pie makes it's way to my apartment and I feel satisfied. That is until I realize that this pizza cost us $50. A fifty dollar pizza you ask? Yes, you read right. I sent my friend down to get the pizza, he tells me he covered it and we eat. We were drinking wine, so it took me a minute, but it finally hit me, why did he pay for the pizza when I already had put it on my card? Well because the delivery guy said it was not paid for, my friend had no idea, and he wouldn't even give him the receipt. By this time the place was closed and I had to wait till morning to call the restaurant. The next morning I called and spoke to the manager. He told me he had to ask the delivery guy if this was true and if i wasn't a bored lying jerk, I would get my money back. He called back an hour later, told me he was sorry, that the delivery guy was new and he would send the money back. No, false, he took the money because he could. He knew it was paid for and pocketed $25. He took it because he's a thief. I asked the manager, if he was new, but not a thief, did he give you the $25 when he got back, to pay for the meal? After a long pause I got a short yes. Lies. So Mr.Manager, what you're saying is, he gave YOU the money and YOU thought it was ok to keep it as long as I didn't notice? Why didn't someone call to tell me I paid twice? Why didnt you at least refund my card and keep the cash? If you had the money, had this all worked out, and planned on giving it back, why did I have to wait an hour for you to verify my story?? I will tell you why kids, because the delivery guy is a liar, the manager is a liar, and the restaurant is untrustworthy and does not mind scamming a customer out of money. I waited a total of 4 hour to get my money back, and that was it. They clearly did not need my business. The manager lied and argued with me and that was where it ended. I am so completely outraged at the lack of not only customer service but morals in general. After speaking with the person who runs this establishment I am not surprised by the criminal they hired as a delivery man. My recommendation- do not order. The pissed off end. read more

The service here is great. The servers are friendly, and the delivery is quick. There are games for kids in the back and there are TVs, usually playing a good movie. The food is really good, though sometimes it can be a hit or miss. The vodka slice here is by far the best I've had - I highly recommend it. The regular slices are also delicious. My only complaint about the pizza is sometimes the dough is too thick on specialty slices like the buffalo chicken or chicken/bacon/ranch. Other than that, it's great! The chicken roll is also really good, but for less than $2 more you can get a chicken hero, which is what I suggest doing. All in all, Bklyn's Pizza Joint is very good, and I intend to remain a regular customer. read more

Not sure where they came up with the name of this pizzeria because the slices do not live up to the standards of Brooklyn pizza. You can get a much better slice just a few streets away. They do offer a lot of speciality slices and rolls, but if the cheese slice is any indication of the rest of the menu, I'd keep walking. (granted, I did not try the others). Garlic knots were hard and tasteless. Mozzarella sticks were good, but those are pretty hard to screw up when they just need to be deep fried. The dipping sauce was nothing to be desired. They have a nice party room in the back, which is great for a kid's party (and my reason for being there). Overall, it was edible, but I would not go back. read more

As if the service wasn't bad enough, the pizza was a joke! Ordered the pizza and was told to wait 10 mins. which was no problem but I waited 30 mins!!! No apology or whatsoever! Just took the damn pizza and the two rolls I ordered home. I couldn't be more upset when I got home, I opened the box and the pizza barely had any cheese on it and the whole pie looked undone.
