I called in an order to go. The person taking the order was short and kept asking me if I was done. I only ordered two dishes. When I finally said I was done she repeated the order to me and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I asked her if she needed my name or something. She mumbled something and hung up. When I got the order home (in the next town over) it was wrong. I got one adult meal and three kids meals. I tried to call them to figure out a solution and they won't answer the phone. I stopped in on a weekday early evening after a long drive and very ready for some food. I was not disappointed at how quickly I was seated and had some chips in salsa to munch on. I ordered the enchilada meal with one chicken and one cheese enchilada. The plate was is front of me in less than 10 minutes even though there was a fair amount of other people dining. Walked to this restaurant Thursday night around 7:15 pm mainly for their margaritas as I wasn't super hungry. I found this posted at the hostess counter! They claimed they had tried to order grand matinee and couldn't get it so they cancelled margaritas! I had just bought bottles of Cointreau and have a hard time believing they could not get any orange liquor??? Triple sec? Patron citronge? Grand mariner? Lots of possibilities. I was disappointed when I googled their hours and it showed they were closed (Sunday afternoon). I was happy when we spotted the restaurant as we came into town and found that they were actually open. The food and staff (Oshla) were fantastic. She seated us immediately, brought fresh chips and salsa. Our drinks and food were served quickly. Everything was delicious. Best Mexican rice I've ever had. The restaurant was clean and festive. Amazing Mexican food with delicious house hot sauce. The one with black garlic was my favorite! So original, I wish they would sell it.

The plate of food my wife ordered was no where near what the menu read. They would not refund or take another order to replace it. So she asked to see the me u again. They never brought one so she got up and got one herself and ordered another plate of different type. When the second order came it was not what she asked for. She said fine, we would not pay for this and bring us the bill. When we got the bill that last plate ($17) was charged to us. I had also asked for some hot sauce which the waiter brought. What he did not tell me in advance is that he would charge me $2 for this hot sauce. So in total i was presented with a $70+ bill for my plate which was nothing great, an ice tea and a beer. I refused to pay for the last meal they brought my wife and they took this off. Any quality restaurant would have offered to make my wife something g different from the start knowing she would not eat what they brought. Appears to me the dollar is more important than a happy repeat customer. Some of us love to have "hot" sauce with their mexican food. This place does not. The manager did come talk with is but all she had was excuses and new we were not happy but i do not feel any true concern was recognized. I have known Gustavo for a long time and have spent many a dollar there. And in Cortez. I will never eat there again. read more

Driving to Moab from Mesa Verde, we passed this restaurant and decided to give it a try for a late lunch! We are GLAD we did. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The chef's were singing as they were preparing the meals. They really paid attention to the details and the plates were very prettily presented. Now for the flavors!!! The Hatch Stacked Enchiladas were delicious. The Quesatacos were really tasty, too. When we complemented our server about the unique flavors of the sauces, she brought out more sauces to let us try. This restaurant was an excellent choice on our way back to Moab from Monument Valley. We arrived around 6PM on a Thursday and there were many other groups coming in at the same time. The host/waiter, James, was very nice and efficient. They were short staffed when we went so there were only 2 waiters and whoever was working in the kitchen (no bartender). Due to the staffing shortage they were having, it took a longer time to get our drinks and food, but both waiters were working hard, so no complaints there. I ordered the combination platter with the shredded beef burrito and the tamale (which was a red sauce pork). The beef in the burrito was tender, as was the pork in the tamale. The sauce on the burrito was very tasty, and the tamale was mostly soft (one end was hard, not inedible however). To drink, I had the cherry coke which had fresh cherries in it, which was a nice touch. James was mostly attentive considering he was one of 2 waiters working in a semi-busy restaurant. He was very friendly, even when he messed up someone else's order (did not really mess up, but accidentally brought out the wrong meal and came back with the correct one quickly). Overall a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, definitely very good food. Will be back if I'm in the area. read more
