    Navajo taco
    Jessica P.

I stopped in this restaurant a couple times. The first time I stopped in I had the soup/salad bar which was decent with a lot of choices. The second visit I got the Navajo taco to go and I only had to wait about 10 minutes before it was ready. Unfortunately I thought everything in it was pretty bland... no seasoning to the beans. The best part was definitely the fry bread. And they charge an automatic fee for anything to go... I probably would have tipped more than the fee but I don't prefer when a percentage is automatically added to anything. The staff was friendly enough but I'd probably opt for one of the other establishments in town for any other meal but salad bar.

The food scene in Blanding is not exactly thriving. We saw the word Steakhouse and figured it was worth a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived we found a repurposed fast food building with the word Family Dining on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Those are code words for no booze. We were too hungry to keep looking and ventured in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is modest, but clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a cheese burger with tots. The burger was cooked well done if not burnt. I did like the Kaiser bun and the crispy tots. My wife's chicken and rice was acceptable. The service was attentive and the food came out in a reasonable period of time.

We were on a little trip & popped into this place for some lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a cozy diner with colorful & seasoned staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is something for everyone on their menu. Our order was taken with ease & the food came out quickly. My patty melt was delicious & I love a good Dill pickle. The tots were crunchy & the lemonade was just what my parched soul needed in this desert. My husband had the chicken tenders & fries. He said they were very good & his meal came out hot. I would recommend anyone stop here for a diner fare meal at a decent price.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food came out hot, in a timely manner, and tasted good. Was a little expensive, but you are in the middle of nowhere. The chicken tenders were hot, crispy and juicy. The fries and tater tots were crispy and hot too.

I had the Navajo taco on the recommendation of a family member and it was really tasty. Large enough to share too. Service was very friendly here and we were in and out quickly.

Soooo good, better than the grocery store by far!

Service is fast and cashiers are kind. Great little quick stop if passing through town. Def take some baked goods with you. Price is right.

    Fried green beans. Delish!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It says steak house, but inside feels more like cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had burgers. They were wonderful and priced right. The staff was very nice.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We had very friendly service and really cute decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is decorated nicely and obviously lovingly maintained (dusted, CLEANED, etc.), which isn't always the case with a little hometown kind of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came specifically to try a Navajo Taco and it was absolutely delicious!!! We were not disappointed.

Great sit down style restaurant in Blanding. It was quiet when we arrived Ed, We were greeted quickly, and ordered right after. We had the hamburger steak dinner that comes with a potato and the salad bar (1 trip). All of it was great We left very full. Definitely the spot to go to when driving through, I'm sure the locals love it!

Just what we needed during our travel day! Food - Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Navajo taco was good and the bread had a nice chewy fresh taste. Patty melt was very good with just the right amount of cheese and onions. AND the bread was amazing! The fries were also good. Lastly the bowl of chili hit the spot on a snowy day. I missed the salad bar but it looked good as well. Service and menu was also great.

Half rack of pork ribs 2 sides.. I put together a great salad to-go bowl!! Amazing! Great service as clean!

Probably because I heard they make them share tips with the back crew. Pay the back crew better then. The meat? Dry as a cardboard box left in the Nevada sun for three summers. Brisket had the texture of an old boot sole and somehow zero smoke flavor--like they forgot to turn the smoker on. Ribs were tough, overcooked, and tasted mostly of disappointment. Coleslaw was just sad shredded cabbage swimming in watery mayo. Beans were straight from a can with zero seasoning. Even the sweet tea tasted like someone stirred it with regret. $18 for a two-meat plate that made me wish I'd just eaten gas station jerky instead. Place sucked. Atmosphere sucked. Food sucked. Would not return even if they paid me. 0/10, do not recommend unless you hate yourself

I had their salmon, which was a generous slab of salmon accompanied by asparagus and roasted cauliflower (I opted to switch the potatoes for cauliflower). We decided to have dinner at Swingin' Steak because frankly we didn't know of any other options. It is very casual and all outside tables, no in door dining. They ran out of the hamburger steak which is what I was going to get so I just decided to share with my husband. He got the ribeye steak which comes with pinto beans, a hand full of salad and a slice of Texas toast. First let me say his steak was cooked perfectly, he ordered medium rare, and was very flavorful. When you go there, just know all they really serve is steak with the beans, small salad and Texas toast. They have a couple side options like mushrooms, jalapeños and sautéed shrimp for an extra charge. Our waitress served as hostess, bused the tables, got the drinks all while being the only waitress there. She worked her but off!!! My main complaint for giving a 3 star review was the pricing of their steaks. I believe because there is no other real place in town they charge for you just coming to their establishment! My husband's meal was $41.00 which was one of the cheaper options. This is not a gourmet steakhouse! More like picnic dining with high end steak house pricing!

Although after a while it became too much so I had to move it off to the side. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the baked potato was good. I tried the wagyu and while it was tender and good I much preferred my ribeye. Everybody else seemed to enjoy their steaks. Our only complaint was that we waited an hour and a half for our food. Our reservation was for 1830, we did not get our steaks until 2000. They did give us a complimentary soup or salad for the wait which was nice but 1.5 hours is a little much. But if I were to find myself in the area I would make a stop for this place... I'd just make sure there are no parties lol.
