All we wanted was a nice place to sit down and have a pleasant time at the table while somebody else waited us (rather than the food truck park experience). Unfortunately, they just completely forgot to cook my food. When the rest of my table got theirs, there was no trace of mine, and when they noticed the problem it seemed that they had to cook it entirely from scratch, so I didn't get my food until the rest of my family had finished and my kids were antsy to leave. Also, when the food did arrive, it wasn't what I ordered, and frankly I did not want to eat it, but at that point I was too hungry and dispirited to complain. I know, I know, this kind of thing could be a one-off; things happen. But you only get so many nights in Moab, and it happened to me, and I did not like it! read more

Checked this place out due to a recommendation on the gluten free app. The place looks small but is bigger once you get inside with cute decor. The salsa was very fresh and delicious. We did a lot of changes to our meals due to allergies and they were very accommodating. The overall favorite was the steak fajitas. It's a little on the pricey side but they use very fresh ingredients and add little touches like portobello mushrooms and bacon in the steak fajitas. read more

Located right on Main St Moab, this very cute Mexican/Baha style restaurant offers a concoction of flavors from South of the border with Baha flair. The dishes were large, flavorful and delicious. Ideal following all day hikes in nearby Arches National Park. The staff are efficient friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We had chips salsa which they brought to the table. Yum. They are apparently known for their margaritas but in this case I didn't have any. It has a very casual atmosphere and perfect to wind down the day. The steak fajitas were delicious! My husband ordered the Chile relleno and he really liked it too. It was very busy and we're a party of 6 so I thought we would have to wait to get a table but we were seated pretty quickly. Food didn't take too long either. The kids were very happy with the taquitos and especially liked the quac. Love how close it was to Arches cause we were very hungry after a day of hiking. read more

On our road trip, we had a lot of good food, and we wanted to try some Mexican food in Moab, UT. Miguel's came up on a Yelp search, so we decided to give it a try. When you walk in, the decor and wall paintings are very inviting. We were led to the back room which is much darker and next to the restroom, so we asked to sit out in the main dining area which is more festive. The menu is extensive, and one thing that is highlighted is the fish tacos. You can get it grilled or traditional (fried). I went with traditional, and it did not disappoint. The taco was flavorful and worthy of the recommendation on the menu. We were with friends, and so we finished the tortilla chips that is provided at most Mexican restaurants pretty quickly. We asked for another serving, and my friends were taken aback when we were told that there is an extra charge for additional chips and salsa. Never heard of that. I kinda blew it off as I was very happy with the Traditional Baja Fish Tacos, but the extra charge definitely had an effect on my friends. Oh well...I can see how people can get full eating just chips and salsa, so charging for extra servings makes the customers order more food off the menu. As Moab is a tourist destination, restaurants can do little things like that and get away with it if they provide good food. read more

Quality is outstanding. Out of the 5 nights we spent in Moab, we went to Miguel's twice. Hubs & I repeated the same dishes on both visits. He had the MOAB burrito with steak, first time with green sauce (his favorite) and then the red sauce. Neither one was spicy according to him. The size is massive so it's perfect for dudes lunch/dinner after a 5-7 hour trail. The salsa for the chips was deeelicious! I had the Spicy Shrimp Fajitas minus the big green chile on top (the flavoring it gave was more than enough for me lol). The shrimp was so savory mixed in with diced portobello mushrooms, tomatoes, slithers of onions & green peppers alongside a plentiful side of mole and half cup of rice. The three fajitas is comes with is just right. Price is merited. If you want excellent flavor, fullness, and fluffy portions, I highly recommend you try this place. Tasty! read more

For some reason people are claiming it is closed and even google says it is closed, IT IS NOT I just went the other day (March 15 2023) IT IS NOT CLOSED I really liked the vibe of the inside. Super colorful, they made the side hallway look like it is outside, stone on the ground, gosh everywhere lol Really fun The staff was kind too I got the spicy chicken fajitas.. which were not spicy lol but they were still good I will say that they needed salt which was a common theme for all of the food my group received But! Once we put more salt on each of our dishes we all loved them My friend got the MOAB burrito and loved it It was huge!!! I was recently in Moab for a few days hiking at Arches and Canyonlands and, after a cursory look at vegetarian options in town (spoiler alert: they were abundant; more so than back home in the Bay Area!), I headed to Miguel's for the portobello tacos. The atmosphere: This was lovely, with outdoor seating and beautiful decor. I was able to get a table straightaway and do a little people-watching. Food: I have to give this a solid 4. The chips and salsa were delicious. The tacos, however, were surprisingly devoid of spice, and I asked for salsa on the side to liven things up a bit (the server asked if I was sure and I replied that I was sure, we have Mexican food in California, lol). Once I added a bit more heat, all good to go! Service: OK, owners. I get that a woman sitting by herself is apparently a sad sight for your other customers and you'd like to see me get out of there ASAP but does it have to be so obvious? I was having a good time. Please don't come and try to take away my plate when I'm still eating. Hands off my food! I had this experience at *every* place I ate at in Moab. I'll bring a date next time. After eating so much heavy Mexican food on our road trip, we were looking for something relatively clean to eat. We were so glad to stumble upon Miguel's because they had non-greasy/non-heavy menu options. We ordered the Ceviche (fish) and Tostadas (pork) for takeout (due to the long wait for a table). Our food was ready within 10 minutes and we enjoyed devouring it outside on a park bench. Our dishes had a great balance of freshness, acidity, and crunch. Even though they were technically both appetizers, they were certainly filling enough to be a meal, especially the ceviche. I have mixed feelings about Miguel's. First, we enjoyed the open air seating. A good amount of tables with ceiling fans for those days that Moab is beyond hot (100+). The margaritas were spot on. It was tempting to have one too many - but there was early morning hiking waiting for me the next day. The food was average Mexican food at best. I had the blackened fish tacos, which you put together yourself. My boys had the fajitas and my husband had a burrito so huge that no human could possibly ever finish it. All of the dishes seemed overly expensive for basic Mexican fare. What did win me over was the fact that they knew how to handle gluten free food for our kiddo with Celiac. Waitress instantly knew which dishes were GF and the kitchen sent his dish out separately. read more

I've never been to a restaurant with such raving reviews yet walked away so disappointed. Miguel's is not a place I likely would have stopped at had it not been for the reviews. I tried the spicy steak fajitas and they were so spicy I couldn't eat them. They were supposed to be loaded with toppings but it was just steak with a whole lot of onions. The fish tacos were highly recommended but were very fishy. The chicken tacos lacked any flavor. The chips and salsa were good and the kids enjoyed their cheese quesadillas but the adults all went home and ate again. Service was just ok. We definitely wouldn't go back. read more

Wow, were did this service come from, 2018?! Every time the waitress pass our table she always looked our way to see if we needed anything . Who does that anymore? Food was fabulous. I got a tostada appetizer dish and it was huge. My husband got the chicken tacos and it was a large plate. The place was festive, but no air conditioning. What a cute place. The front just beckons you to take a peek inside! Once inside, it's like a different world. There is a long covered patio with the main restaurant in back. There are two mini uncovered patios between the covered patio and the inside. We were seated at a table for two in one of the two small patios. The weather was great and we were in the shade so it was just fine. Cute plants decorate the space. We both ordered the same thing and we loved it- Chile Rellenos with Mexican Coke. As a side note, the fountain drink option is Pepsi. For dessert, we opted for the churro with ice cream. Everything was presented so well and was sooo rico! Decent food, though Tex-mex lovers should eat here expecting something different for sure. There's no queso on the menu, and the fajitas tastes pretty good, but were very different from tex-mex style. Meat was fully cooked but no charring on the meat at all. Standard order looked to have about 1/2 lb of beef and a bit overwhelmed by veggies. I think that's probably why there was little to no charring on the meat, the liquid from the veggies imparted plenty of flavor but also prevented the high heat on the meat. Standard order came with only 3 tortillas and there was a charge for 3 more. Shredded cheese was another thing that did not come with the standard order and was an up charge to add. Not a bad meal at all, but probably wouldn't go back unless other options weren't available. read more

This was one of the only places open for dinner when my friend and I returned from Canyonlands so we added our names to the list for about a 20 minute wait. It's very unassuming and small from the outside street but the inside is very quaint and cute and has a covered glass ceiling walkway to the back with more seating. Think colorful, day of the dead doll-type decor. We were seated right at around 20 minutes in the back room and walked through the main seating area to get there where the kitchen is located, a register, and about 4-5 more small tables. We were instantly brought fresh salsa (a little spicy) and warm corn chips and our waitress greeted us and brought ice water. My friend ordered the portobello tacos and I chose to go with the tostadas, add pork with a side of rice. I'm glad I added the rice because it was really delicious - made with some sort of broth I think - shaved carrots and small chopped pieces of zucchini, sooooo good! I enjoyed my tostadas. They were a great portion for appetizers and once I added the pork to them they were easily entree-sized. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often, food was out quickly, the kitchen was buzzing, and it tasted very good and authentic. We both enjoyed our meals. We are visiting Moab and just happened into Miguel's. The decor gives an authentic Mexican vibe. The chips were warm , light and crispy. I had the Rajas Con Crema. Oh, my, how rich and flavorful. If you're hiking in Moab, you might work up an appetite. If you're walking down the main drag in Moab, you might stumble upon this restaurant. If the two converge, you might find yourself starting down the Mother of All Burritos (aka MOAB), like me... plus a margarita because they're delicious too. Now, there's the half and whole MOAB. The half comes with a little more salad and a little less burrito. The more and less aren't massive differences though. You'll get a good meal out of the half size. You will probably get two meals out of the whole. Take your pick. I picked the whole with pork. I will say the rice inside was a bit of a disappointment and the meat wasn't super well distributed so there were parts of the burrito with almost all rice and others with almost all meat. Otherwise, not a bad bit of food. The free tortilla chips are bagged but put in a warmer so they come out tasting more like fresh ones. The salsa is tasty. Definitely not cheap but you're in the middle of Moab. What do you expect? At least it's good portions and it was better than another Mexican place we'd been to down the street that weekend. read more

The posted online menu prices do not match the in house menu they hand you. Pretty much a $10 increase per item across the menu. When I enquired why the difference?
