This is an underrated Chicken Spot that doesn't look like much to the naked eye but the food is DELICIOUS! Their Fried Chicken & Biscuits are TOP Notch but they really surprised me is their breakfast. A fast food spot that uses real eggs, thick bacon & deli American cheese. They also serve chicken and waffles. Everything I've eaten here has been great

Was recommended this place by a coworker so I decided to stop in for lunch. They have the two piece meal for which comes with a side a biscuit & a drink for $6. Usually you get what you pay for at most restaurants but this place?!?! Man that chicken is very fresh, flavorful and with the perfect crunch. The biscuits they have are very soft and buttery as well and the cold slaw as a side is tasty too. All of this for $6!!! I believe this is an all day special too so stop in anytime they're open. Literally the best fried chicken in this part of town!!!

It's adjacent to a parking deck and small. Very cozy, though! The menu is simple and it was a one-man show that day (other staff had left due to closing). LOVED IT! The coleslaw was really good and the Sammie was probably one of the freshest I've had. We had to wait a bit due to it being just him but worth the wait. I did the hot chick ... yeah, I can get away with saying that ... and it was huge, overflowing, tender and fresh. This is a SOLID spot. I was told they'd be re-opening nearby and I hope that's the case. They were BUSY as well so it's clearly not a customer issue. Check them out when they re-open. Simple and amazing!

Ok listen, this spot is in the cut wedged between Bank of America and the back of Cornerstone Bank. It has about 7 booths and 4 tables (mostly 2 tops). Customer service is warm and friendly, it always feels like you've known the guys working for years. Now the food...O.M.G. My favorite is the ATL chick which is juicy fried chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce and... ANNNND... lemon pepper. Cmon. We're in ATL. What other way is there?! Then it has ranch drizzled on top and dressed how you want... lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. Even the bread is yummy. The sweet potato fries are crispy and airy and go great with the comeback sauce which is whatever smoky heavenly concoction they came up with as a sauce. Listen if you're in downtown Decatur... Do yourself a favor and get here! There is street parking available and you can pay by app or at the meter. It's about $2 for an hour. They also serve salads, other sandwiches, and breakfast. Small collection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Open Wednesday - Sunday. We welcomed the calm, family-friendly vibe and free parking. Even with the rain, we were dry and toasty. Other than breathing fresh air, you wouldn't know you're outside. Seat yourself and scan a QR code with your phone to order and prepay. Being old school I think you get better tips by greeting the table and giving recommendations. But there was only one server, she was friendly and hustling. I love the grown up music - neo soul and pop (Selena, Ed Sheeran), with enough volume to hear each other, clean restrooms and comfy seating. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. The amiable owner greeted us after to inquire about our meals. We had a party of 7 (4 adults, 2 teens, 1 kid). I loved my pancake breakfast! The filling, not too sweet hot cakes were promptly drenched in warmed Mrs. Butterworths. Applewood smoked bacon? Blissful. Scrambled eggs with cheese? Dreamy. I devoured it all and left full and content. My Dad said the Blueberry Pancakes were the best breakfast he ever had! Ms. Chicken and Waffles thought the poultry was a bit salty yet "well-seasoned with the perfect crunch." Waffle? Delicious. On a scale of 1-5, Mr. Cream Cheese French Toast and Grits Bowl ranked it 10! "Grits were magical, better than Milk and Honey." Teen's Simple Breakfast (potatoes, eggs and bacon) and French Toast "blew IHOP out of the water!" Preteen ranked his Simple Breakfast and side of French Toast "5 quintillion!" The bacon was a bit tough but the bread blew him away! Kiddo - ranked her kids breakfast (large fruit-topped pancake with eggs and bacon) 6 out of 5! Would we return and recommend? A resounding yes! This quaint, low-key family owned business with amazing food gets our vote every time.

We also ordered the buttermilk pancakes, fried chicken wings, and the lobster and shrimp omelette that were also really delicious! Since I like to try multiple things, I really appreciated the fact that their menu allowed à la carte options so I was able to get a side of shrimp and grits instead of a full sized entree. The chef came out multiple times to ensure customers were satisfied with the meals so the service was excellent. The only call out to note is that it's an outdoor restaurant so in the middle of the summer it can be hot. However, it was a covered patio and enough fans to keep the air circulating so it didn't bother us much. This won't be our last visit to say the least.

I saw a lady waiting outside so I thought there might be a wait but we immediately led to a nice table near the open kitchen. I then looked up and saw they had outside seating. Our server, Julius, came by and we asked if we could move outside and he said no problem. He scooped up our menus and led us outside to the covered patio. Wifey ordered a coffee and initially I also ordered a coffee but then I asked if they had any specialty coffees. He informed me they did not have any hot options but showed me the iced choices on the menu. I quickly reviewed and ordered the Mint Mocha covered in Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips. The drinks came out quickly and that mocha was more than I expected but it was very good. Julius ran off after dropping off our drinks and when he returned we were ready with our food choices. I ordered the French Toast, minus the mixed berry compote that is included, and added a side of bacon. Wifey ordered "The Traditional"; 2 eggs, choice of meat, toast and seasoned potatoes. She chose the chicken apple sausage pattie which you don't usually see as a side option. I was sipping and sipping on my coffee and it was gone before the food arrived. The patio has a good open layout with overhead fans to keep the air moving. The food arrived quickly and we started digging in. My French Toast and bacon looked fresh and tasted delicious. The French toast was light and grilled to the right texture. Wifey loved her meal and said the chicken apple sausage was a good choice. Julius was working inside and outside the tables, but he did check on us a few times. He disappeared for a few minutes when we were ready to wrap up the bill but I didn't have to track him down. I heard mostly positive things about this restaurant from a few family members, so I was curious to check it out. This Caribbean/Southern fusion spot is located as the anchor of a strip mall with other restaurants next door. The great thing is that there is plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday evening; thankfully it was not crowded, so we were able to sit down immediately. Food: I ordered the stewed chicken wings which comes with plantains and jasmine rice. I also ordered a side of roasted brussel sprouts. The wings were very good, falling off the bone tender. I also loved the flavoring of the rice, and the plantains were perfectly sweet. I was not a big fan of the brussel sprouts. They had a thick honey sauce on them that was overpowering, and they were very soft in texture. The positive side is that they give you a ton of food for the price. Service: There weren't many staff working this evening from what I could see. Our server greeted us promptly and checked on us several times before we ordered food. Once we ordered our food, it honestly went down hill. It just took extremely long to get anyone's attention for help. It also took close to 30 mins just to get our check. When the check came, they initially said they couldn't split it and added an automatic 20% gratuity. On their site, it says they do that for parties of 4 or more, but we were only a party of 3. The manager let the server split the check, but they would not remove the gratuity. I always tip well, so it wasn't the end of the world, it was just the principle for me. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, I might consider checking them out again for brunch.
