I got locked out of my house in Greenbrae yesterday, and Guy came to the rescue. It did take him 20 minutes longer than he promised to get to our place (hence the 4*) - we are up in the hills, but still. And then something magical happened. We have a very old, complex lock, and neighbors told me that the locksmith will destroy the door trying to open it. I braced for the worst, but Guy was able to let me back into the house in less than 15 minutes, with no damage to the door or most of the lock. So I can actually still salvage the lock. Super happy! Great service and was available when no one else could come. I called 2 other locksmiths nearby in Millbrae and they were all busy, but Guy came and did everything I need on the spot! We got out doors unlocked and he even made 8 copies of our keys for us in the spot. Great service, really good price. We needed the locks in our new house to be re-keyed, and Guy showed up less than an hour later. He was very friendly and took off his boots before entering the house, even though it was raining and he had to keep taking them off and putting them back on. Guy was quick and he tested all keys on all the locks. All worked first time no problem. He even corrected for an improperly installed sliding door lock that the builder had put in. In addition, he gave me some advice on a couple other internal/external door issues that I should keep in mind. Guy asked me to send a photo of my non-working front door handle and latch and explain the problems to him. He went to Home Depot and purchased a new handleset, sending me pics to approve. Within 20 minutes he arrived at my house, quickly analyzed what was wrong with the latch being misaligned with the strike plate and the open button on the handle not working. He started the repair work and 15 minutes later the open button and latch were working perfectly. He added an extra strike plate to make the door close more securely. Since he was able to fix the existing handle, he said it was no problem for him to return the one he purchased for me at home depot.
