The chorizo queso is sooooo good! I ordered the birria taco plate and I'd say this is very authentic compared to food back home (California)! They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. We can never decide on what to cook at home, but when we go out, we often get the same thing. Both tacos were really good. We agree they are far better than any tacos we get in full service Mexican restaurants. They have lots of different flavors and textures. We first learned about this place from a Yelp event. I am so glad Yelp introduced us to Tacos 4 Life. We might never have tried it otherwise. It has a cheerful ambiance with pictures of happy children being fed and messages telling customers a child gets fed every time someone buys a taco. Dan and I fed 4 kids and had a fabulous lunch. The family running the restaurant has always been warm and friendly, and I've been eating here for many years. Be patient as a long line can appear suddenly. You'll be rewarded in the end with a delicious plate of food though, and they have 6-8 flavors of aquas frescas, which have become a new favorite thing for me. If you have a sensitive stomach (think hangover or sickness) the pepino aqua fresca will heal you. The water of life it is!
