i went here with family for breakfast not for the first time but it will be the last . Admittedly it was a holiday so it was busy which is fine but food took forever (more than one hour ) to come out. then there was "some mix up with the bill" so we allegedly paid the smaller bill of someone else's bill(nothing in writing ) the start of the issue was a toothpick in my food (not a big deal ) but still didn't eat my breakfast which they then took and did not re make or give back or take off the bill. then the owner gave me a gift card for ten bucks. half thr price of the breakfast i didn't eat. really really disappointing - and the owner blames the waiter for being new which was not the issue. making mistakes happens and busy is busy but there are ways to keep customers and ways to not and this was really a shame. like a lot of businesses in this area they get full of themselves and don't try. i will be sure to mention to my large network. read more

The interior has a pleasant atmosphere and there is a wide variety of baked goods that look very appealing. Reese's Peanut Butter Donut: This donut looked really phenomenal, but its taste did not match its appearance. The peanut butter was kind of melty and was overpowering in taste. The donut works have probably tasted better if the donut was filled with crushed Reese's peanut butter cups instead of plain peanut butter. Breakfast Veggie Panini: This flat sandwich was loaded with eggs, and a vegetable medley. It was one of the tastiest breakfast sandwich ever tried. The hash brown and salad were both excellent side dishes to accompany the sandwich. I enjoyed the main course, but I feel the service needs improvement for multiple. I asked for a spoon; it was never brought. My water glass was not refilled. On multiple occasions, I had to approach the server at the counter to request any specific needs; the restaurant appears to be short staffed. Came here expecting fresh baked goods based on the reviews and photos and left genuinely confused. The croissants we received looked nothing like the pictures posted here. Honestly, it felt like they ran out and someone went to replenish from the supermarket. How ironic that a bakery serves factory-made pastries. That completely defeats the purpose of going to a bakehouse. My vanilla cold brew was also overloaded with sugary syrup to the point that it was difficult to drink. To make matters worse, the staff seemed overwhelmed by the crowd and the attitude toward customers reflected it. The huge plates of food were all so delicious. Everyone enjoyed! And they surprised my son with a special treat of his choice. He was so stuffed but took a Boston crème doughnut to go. I came here for a late Sunday brunch with my friend and I ordered the Mediterranean eggs Benedict, which was delicious but I could not finish it. I think they would be better off utilizing English muffins not the THOMAS kind but authentic ones for the Benedict. The Italian bread was too thick to cut through and not that great. I also think that the coffee here is not the greatest and very bitter for what it is and priced a little higher than other places. I want SO badly to rave about this place, but I've been twice and, sadly, really haven't been impressed. The first time we tried an assortment of pastries including their famous lobster tails... they were fine, but not impressive. The other pastries were a little dry, all sort of having the same general flavor across the board. Fast forward to today, we gave it another shot for the 'viral' cinnamon rolls... and we're just underwhelmed. The original cinnamon roll was fine, a little dry, but tasted good. We also got the rainbow cookie cinnamon roll (pictured) which I guess is called rainbow cookie for the little 1/4" piece they decorate it with? Ultimately it was just a dry piece of bread with some glaze on it. The pistachio danish was also dry and kind of lackluster. Overall, I just don't get the hype. read more

First timer... just had lunch here today and I am blown away! First off... this bake shop is super cutesy & quaint. The owner is amazing and super friendly but the FOOD and BAKED GOODS.... Mouth watering delicious. Today we ordered this amazing sandwich off of the specials menu. I can't remember the name of it but I will describe it... because it's giving main character... Star of the show....Italian bread hero, breaded chicken cutlet, ricotta, hot honey, salami & arugula with a ton of fresh hot fries on the side. It was so big I could only eat half. Worth every penny! There is a whole display case of baked goods as well. We took almond croissants to go. Plenty of street parking available and the vibe inside is super chill & welcoming. Brought my mom and daughter here for lunch. The 50s style decor and reruns of The Honeymooners playing on the TV were the perfect ambience for my Mom who is afflicted with Alzheimer's. It put her in a positive frame of mine, back to happier days from her childhood. The food is terrific. We had the avocado toast with eggs, home fries, a side salad and a side of caponata. The delicious, crusty bread is baked there. We also had a fritatta with asparagus and zucchini. Everything fresh and perfectly seasoned. My daughter had a lavender latte and mom and I enjoyed hibiscus iced tea. Portions are huge, couldn't eat anything else, so we took some anisette cookies home. They are so yummy with tea or coffee. I truly cannot explain how wonderful this place is! I randomly found it one day as I thought it was a small pastry shop...but boy was I wrong! Guzzo's has become our new obsession. The food is DELICIOUS and the meals are HUGEEE! They start you off with the most delicious complimentary pastry while you wait. I wish I would've taken pictures of our food but the Bensonshust Brooklyn is my favorite! The coffees are delicious and it is BYOB!!! The service was impeccable- we were celebrating a friends birthday and they had a table set with mimosa glasses. They didn't rush us and always checked on us. Went in for the first time for my birthday breakfast on the recommendation of some friends. The atmosphere was perfect, very cute decor. I ordered pancakes with berries, my husband ordered chicken and waffles. We happened to be in the area for lunch and wanted to check out the place. The staff was friendly as we entered. They had many beautiful handmade pastries and other baked goods as well as gelato. We purchased a small container of Italian Rainbow Cookies, 13 pieces for $16. They were, however, pretty good. It was also a well lit, clean place with several tables that go from the front of the establishment to the back. When we went, there were many customers having lunch. First sign should have been the place had uncleared tables and the waitress was rude. Took forever to order food and that was the worst garbage I have ever eaten . Waffle was over cooked and the chicken was way over cooked . Prices are sky high for its category. A regular sized sandwich was $18! A lobster tail was $7.50. Both of these prices are significantly higher than the best in the business of this type. There is also a service charge that no one tells you about. I do not care for that. Tell me at least. The sandwich was unremarkable. I was so excited but let down. The Haworth sandwich was a very thin breaded piece of chicken. Almost like a classic milanese. Photo makes it appear much thicker than it was. It lacked any flavor. Bland and tasted of breading and not much else. Needed seasoning. Lobster tail is good but not great. There is a lot of cream in the middle but none on the ends which leads to bites of pastry without cream. Everyone knows a good lobster tail starts with cream in every bite. The lobster tail is also incredibly ugly. A meal begins with the aromas and visuals. It fails the latter. There are many local rivals that do both sandwiches and pastries far better at much better prices. This place is significantly overpriced for a mediocre product. I would pass on this place and go elsewhere. Not many redeeming qualities to shop here. read more

Oh my yum!!!! We truly enjoyed our brunch experience at Guzzo's! We got the Sunrise board with croissants, pancakes, challah French toast, berries, bacon, and sausage. They were very busy, and the owner brought us a cinnamon roll while we waited. It was the best I've ever had! It was just the right balance of sweet without being too rich. It was actually light & airy, which I've never experienced with any other cinnamon roll. The charcuterie board, everything was perfect! By no means is this a criticism, I felt the board would have benefitted from some sort of fruit preserves to spread on the croissants. There was definitely more than enough food on the board for the 2 of us. Bob finished half the board, more for the challenge of it than not being full. I took home what was left and look forward to enjoying another breakfast. Some things seemed too good to pass up, so we took home a couple of things to enjoy later, a blueberry meltaway and warm and rustic bread with cheeses & berries.
