I don't know what the world is going on with this place ? they overcharged every single thing even though my insurance cover but after the last visiting? I am so disappointed I have Oscar hundred percent covered only thing that I have to pay is co payment 70 for the visiting I went there for annual check up should be hundred percent free once a year they send me a charge of $70 saying I did not pay office visit I told them called them let them know that I paid the office visit then she says this charge is for the bloodwork ? I have to pay ? I told (accountant ) I don't have to pay for it because my insurance cover it she said she will take care of it . After 15 days later I got a bill from collection agency?don't make any sense? they give you different excuse and they don't solve the problem. Their billing system need to be improved. Ok, let me start off by saying the staff and Dr. Patel were pretty good as it related to patient interaction, but after that everything else was not just downhill, but under the hill. First and foremost at the time of my visit the Peachtree Corners location was being renovated. At that point I should've just rescheduled my appointment. Paint odor, dust, just NOT a good environment to be seeing a doctor, PERIOD! Again, Patel was ok, good bedside manner and seemed to ask the right questions. My BIGGEST issue was getting my lab results back. So after 1 week I called the office wanting to know if my labs came back, They had to check, which took another day or two. So after a week and a-half, I just drove to the office for my results and was able to finally get a printout. I was informed that they normally contact the patients if anything came back positive, hmmmm! Then I was informed that I had pre-diabetes. I had to research that to figure out what the hell that mint was. So at this point I started looking for another doctor under Cigna that could perform another physical, because I was comfortable with, not only the results but the communication. Also when I received my results from the office the printout appeared to be from a typewriter made in the early 70's, NOT GOOD! So last thing, I called one last time to see if I could download my results from their website portal, again, after being on the phone for an hour they could get my access resolved. Actually after typing this I'm going to contact Cigna to see if they can cancel this payment. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. read more

I walked in this clinic stressed out because I had to get some bloodwork done. I can honestly say I walked out feeling so much better! Service goes a long way for me. It was very comfortable and they seemed like family. That goes a long way too! If you are considering going here for medical needs, I recommend it! Did I have to wait even though I had an appt? YES! It's a walk-in clinic. It was a well worth the wait and made my day! I wish more people would take the time to write positive reviews. Dr Meena and Dr Goodjoin are wonderful experienced doctors who care for their patients. They really care for their patients and helped me get well soon many times over the years! The office provides on site labs and testing for most things so it saves a trip and waiting at other places. It is easy to be seen the same day or week unlike other doctors offices so it saves me from having to go to more expensive urgent cares for minor issues. Most places make you wait a month for a physical or check up but they are good about working you in the same week. This way I get to see my regular doctors when I am sick or for routine care pretty easily. read more

I am a patient at Gwinnett Clinic. The last visit was 6 months again. Just a wellness check. I called today to get a referral for a COVID19 antibody test. The person said, " I know they will not give you one. You haven't been here in 6 months." So I drive to the office. I get there explain I am a first responder law enforcement and I have a letter stating I may have been exposed. I DO NOT HAVE COVID19. The lady says...Get out!! Very rude. I explained the purpose was just to verify my health. Then they said,"Well fill this out!" I sat down. The lady with here hair pinned up on top said, " Happy Thursday!" All three girls giggled. Very unprofessional. Then I told the lady to call my insurance company because they pay 100% of civic related issues. I was told to leave the office. Dr. Meena was okay. She was nice and listened to what my problems were. She asked me questions with her back to me most of the time so it was hard to understand what she was asking but all in all, I would go see her again. I also saw Dr. Shin, an allergist specialist. He was pretty thorough and explained all the reasonings behind my allergies. That was great. He was very attentative. I would have to give Dr. Shin 5 stars. The main complaint I have is the front office lady (think she had shoulder length hair- brownish blonde, can't really remember). She was a bit rude when I came in. She stared at me while I was signing the sign-in sheet like I had done something wrong and practically barked at me if I needed help. Overall, the wait time wasn't not as bad as other people have reviewed for Gwinnett Clinic. The service is so-so. read more

I had an appointment the other week and I was interrupted by the doctor several times. I was made to feel the concerns I have are not valid. The doctor kept my discharge papers from the emergency stay at Emory instead of copying them for my file so now I have to go back to pick it up. I had an appointment at 9:30 and wasn't seen until 10:30 and was rushed during my time in speaking with the doctor. It's incredible how much these people are paid to not actually help anyone. The front office staff are cold, uncaring and nonchalant and this was one of the worst doctor visits I have ever had. Don't waste your time here. Gwinnett Clinic is about as terrible as the other reviews say. The wait times are horrendous, even with an appointment. I was probably in the waiting room for an hour or so, even though I arrived at the office on time. From there, I spent about 30 minutes in the patient room waiting for the doctor to drop in. If I had known how long I would have waited, I would have gone elsewhere. But that's not all: After I paid my initial visit fee, I thought I was covered and good to go. It was $110. As it turns out, I got another bill in the mail not too long after with a $326 office visit fee. The fair price for an office visit? $210. And don't forget the diagnostic tests they ran--both of them cost another $150. After they "billed to insurance", I still had to pay another $100. So they overbiled for their office visit, and when I called to ask about it, the billing manager hung up on me, telling me "I'm not going to negotiate with you." When I called the practice manager, she told me "You are XX years old, sir; you don't know as much as you think you know." Gwinnett Clinic is not the place to go. Unacceptable customer service, overbilling, and unprofessional staff. Find ANY other place to go. read more

I saw Rachel Pocock Shah, MD. The appointment ran a little behind but never have I ever experienced "no wait time" in a doctor's office or hospital. Rachel is very compassionate, efficient and knowledgeable, she helped me a great deal. The clinic's prices are reasonable and the office is well run overall. I can tell Rachel cares about her patients and does her best to find solutions even for people like me who didn't have the best insurance on that day for asthma prescriptions. The front staff was friendly, polite and communicated clearly. When taking new patients the forms were not overly cumbersome and took 5 minutes. I think the office is under some construction, or is a new location at the time of this writing, but don't let that scare you off. I has been suffering all week with a bad cough and conjestion. I was examined by a competent physician who diagnosed bronchitis. I was given a shot to halt the bronchitis. I've been actively coming to this office for 2 years and it's just gotten worst over time. It doesn't matter if I make an appointment and come in 15 mins or 30 mins early...I never go back at my scheduled appointment time. What exactly is the point of offering appointments if walk ins get priority. Also the staff is ridiculously unprofessional. For instance I walked up to sign in and the sign up sheet wasn't available. The front office assistant had the window closed and I see her texting on her phone. I patiently waited hoping she would look up to see me and even said excuse me but she didn't stop texting. I finally went to the allergy window to get the other lady's attention and she told the woman texting to give me the sign in sheet. Also there has been time when all they had was PA available that couldn't give any medicines or provide any valid medical information and I was expected to pay for the visit?!? Insane experience. Dr refused to sign off on a form because my blood pressure was too high, but she refused to take it after the nurse did. Nurse took it over sweatshirt, and Dr would NOT take it again, said I was just out of luck. I understand not signing off, but being completely unsympathetic to a teenage girl crying in your office is ridiculous. Today was my 1st time here as a new patient and i waited for ONE AND A HALF HOURS. Im trying to switch primary care docs because my current is somewhat far and i almost left to go there before i was called. Some lady who had no appointment was even seen before me and i arrived before 9(they open at 9). My appt was at 9 and i wasnt seen until 10:15. Where dey do dat at?!!! Its just common courtesy. I was courteous enough to be on time even early and i had to wait over one fucking hour?!!! I eventually saw Dr. Wang who was very nice and the nurse who drew my blood was also very sweet. After 9 years & numerous new patient referrals, today I say GOOD RIDDANCE ! Dr Tanase, whom I thought the world of, treated me with such disrespect via her staff & self by refusing to even allow me to use the restroom (I am 74 years old!) after I explained that my stating a cough that's due to asthma & chronic sinusitis/allergies...all being documented over these last 9 yrs, is NOT anything else! I've also had several surgeries on my sinuses, so when a flippant assistant, who did NOT say she was a nurse (I had to ask her), wanted ME, totally unskilled, to swab for covid, I refused! The issues continued, I ended up with an anxiety attack (need I add I've had several T.I.A.s!) which brought on a bad asthma attack, & NOT ONE OF THE STAFF GAME A RAT'S BEHIND ABOUT MY HEALTH ISSUES! I scheduled an appointment through zoc docs (and I have already contacted zoc docs about my complaint) with the hopes of finding a permanent primary care physician. I arrived at this location 30 minutes early with the expectation of having new patient paperwork to fill out but the one page that they gave me only had a section for my demographic and payment method information. The office smelled terrible - like dust and disease. The office staff was rude and unattentive. I shouldn't have to ask if I have new patient paperwork and I shouldn't have to ask them if they need a copy of my drivers license and insurance card. The office lady did not make eye contact once - very rude. I made an appointment to see Dr. Asha Shah but was so turned off by the environment and the office staff that I explained to the receptionist (which didn't matter because she paid me no mind) that the office was too "hood" for me and that I would not be seeing a doctor there. She just said "ok". If you want to go to a doctor's office that feels more like a roach and rat infested free clinic with babies screaming and disease ridden people coughing ALL over you, then this is the place for you. If you have higher expectations of a doctor's office, then look elsewhere. Terrible experience. This office should be condemned. read more

What a disgrace. I was first assigned to a nurse practitioner. When she came in after an HOUR AND A HALF wait, she was rushing us! Ok, I guess they had many patients that time. Then after a min or two, the doctor (she's an old Indian woman), basically shooed this nurse like a dog and said in her obnoxious strong accent, "You go to room (she blurted a number) because this woman here (that's me) has a child and I know more about kids. You go there, its just a man." Are you kidding me?? How unprofessional! She blurted that like I can't hear her. How does that show your credibility? And poor nurse. That's not the main reason why I'm not going back here. My son has had colds longer than usual. So I wanted to find out what's going on. All she did was gave him a flu test (came out neg) and prescribed antibiotics. Well guess what, I wanted a second opinion and went to Children's Healthcare of ATL (down at Satellite Blvd) and the doctors there found out my son has pneumonia!! This place is a joke! Rude staff. My experience with the Duluth Clinic location was "less than stellar". On July 31st, I visited the clinic with symptoms similar to a UTI. I was provided medication and sent home. August 8th, I was not feeling better and had an extreme pain in my back. I called the clinic stating I was in pain and wanted to come in for a follow-up. Due to the time of day, they did not have any openings until the following day which was a Saturday. Saturday morning I visited the doctor and was placed on a second dose of antibiotics. I told the doctor about my pain the day prior, but said it was not as acute that morning. He sent me home - everything to this point was fine.... Monday morning, I awoke with a growing pain in my back. I called the clinic once they opened and asked if I should come back. I was told a nurse would call to advise. After an hour, I called again, but this time asked if I should go to the ER or come back to the clinic since my pain level was growing exponentially. They assured me a doctor would call back to advise. After another hour, I called and said I really felt I should see someone since I was in so much pain. The receptionist told me they could see me at noon - 4 hours after my initial call. I drove myself to the clinic and sat in the waiting room. At this point, I was in extreme pain. I was in so much pain, I was curled up in a chair crying which made the other patients waiting noticeably uncomfortable. I asked the receptionist if there was any way I could talk to a doctor sooner due to my level of pain and the fact that I was questioning if I should go to the ER. The receptionist seemed apathetic to my pain and said the doctor would see me shortly. After a few minutes, she called me to the front for my copay. I waited for 30 minutes, then called my husband to drive me to the ER since I wasn't sure if I could. I told the receptionist about my husband coming to take me to the ER, again, she did not seem concerned. To be clear, I had not had the opportunity to talk to a nurse so I had no idea what was wrong. Due to my fear and the fact that so much time had passed, I drove myself to the ER at the peak of my first kidney stone. I had never had a kidney stone before and had not been diagnosed, so I did not know what was happening to me and was pretty scared. I was relying on the assistance of the clinic to best direct me and they spectacularly failed. I will never go here again due to how unprofessional and apathetic the receptionist was during my last experience. She made me feel as if I was inconveniencing her when I was scared something was seriously wrong. I have no tolerance for this behavior - it was unnecessary and condescending. read more

Instead of trying to reach out to me for info to support the claim, Dr Asha Shah would rather refer me out... The medication is an antacid for heaven sakes... I'm not asking for the world here. And let's not forget, from the time of my appointment to the time she more or less pawned me off, was a month... Really!? I'm in the medical field and I know this stuff can take up to a week, but a month--Heaven forbid I had a real issue. I loooove Dr. Htwe. Dr Htwe is the best Dr. I have ever had. He was recommended to me by a coworker and I love him. I told my mom about him and he is now her Dr. (And my mom is very picky & hard to please when it comes to her Dr's). We have both been going to him for a few years now. I drive about 40 miles 1 way to his office & I despise driving. The great thing is they are open 7 days a week & until 6pm. Although Dr Htwe is only there certain days & after 2pm. I only go when he is there and the wait is never bad as a walk-in or if you make an appointment. When Dr Htwe was on leave we stopped going to the office, because there is no other Dr like him. The front desk receptionist know us as soon as I call /come in. They are great. read more

I came in at 5:30 and was told that they couldn't help me because, even though they take walk-ins and close at 6pm, the doctor left early "because no patients were there". This ended up costing me an additional hour of time going somewhere else. Thank goodness I didn't have a serious issue. He was just a nurse, but acted like the boss of the clinic. He is not at all courteous and speaks so loud that everyone around would know why I am in the clinic. I will like to report a woman at the desk at the Duluth branch with the number 6782055000, Laynora (I cannot remember the pronunciation of her name, but it sounds like Laynora) who was absolutely condescending when I called about my account which had been sent to collections because I had the wrong address on file. They later advised me I was the one who gave the wrong address (which I can take ownership for), but this woman was abrupt and so unprofessional when I called in. Of course I was upset because Quest Diagnostics had sent my account to collections with an address I hadn't used in over 10 years. They told me this clinic had given them that address which was clearly incorrect as the clinic advised me Quest didn't reach them for the right address. The lady who I spoke with after Laynora rudely hung up on me was as kind and professional as possible. I wish I remembered her name. Then, she transferred me to Lisa in Billing who had clearly been biased by Laynora's treatment of me and was just as rude and condescending. Never in my life have I experienced such unprofessionalism. I am not one to be disrespectful when I call, but I got on the defensive cos Laynora was extremely rude and unprofessional from the onset. I will never visit this clinic again and it is thanks to her as I was talked to like I didn't matter. The treatment over the phone was a clear distinction from when I visited the clinic. If I could give zero stars I would. I'm so beyond aggravated. Gwinnett Clinic can not be trusted and I'll tell you why. I use to be proud to call this place my families doctors office...that was clear because me and my family had need patients for over 20 years. In May I returned from Africa. In May I had a post service physical. After first denying me service. Gwinnett clinic ordered test that were not required or authorized by me nor Peace Corps. They ordered multiple test without my knowledge. So of course when Pc got the bill they rejected the bill. After about a week of playing detective and lots of medical/insurance terms later I found out that the doctors office I use to once consider the best. Was nothing less then thieves. They take what we don't understand as are weakness to gain monetarily. I am beyond disappointed. After weeks of panic PC sent me an email last week saying they would pay all the bills and I was assured by the billing department at Gwinnett Clinic that they would not send this issue to collections because there had been a miscommunication between PC and them ...yea miscommunication! But I sighed with relief because I would not be responsible for something I didn't know was done. However today I go to my mailbox and see a letter from a collections company stating I owe them 138.44 date 10/28/2015. I could care less what's happening behind the doors of Gwinnett clinic...but what's very clear is you guys have so many things falling through the cracks. We vowed over a year ago my family was done with your clinic when my mother was given the wrong medicine from your Sugar Hill office and had a bad reaction. We made the horrible mistake by continuing to go to your offices out of connivence. Not anymore. I will let every person living in Gwinnett know...If your looking for a primary care with a patient centered approach where doctors and staff are kind, caring, knowledgeable and ethical.
