That said, they are not friendly like the previous owners were. The place is stark white and is more cold, than welcoming. There was an older lady at the front when I first walked in. At first, I thought she was another customer. Until I realized she was following us around the entire store as if we were criminals. Also, prices have gone up. $45 for a small stuffed animal (36% markup). $90 for a spoon rest (a 50% markup); I don't care if it is McKenzie Childs. But it was more about the way we were treated in the store. I used to buy from this store almost every time I went in. I don't think I'll be back. I'll take my hard earned money and spend it elsewhere. I've been treated better at high-end places in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Not only does this store sell high quality goods but the awesome owner also makes one of a kind outfits that are sure to be a family heirloom. She was working on a dress and a blanket while we were there and she was so nice to explain the process and we were very impressed with the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship that she possesses .
