Service was great! Extremely helpful and happy! The food from Libe Lula was excellent! I got the Cajun smash burger. Might very well be the best smash burger I have ever had. My husband got the bowl and it was freaking delicious! The facility is awesome! Great nod to the beginnings of the grounds - so pretty and so very clean! I am in love with every aspect of the place. We ended up at gypsy distillery accidentally looking for the Libe lulu Mexican restaurant and realized they were in the same location. We had excellent service, excellent spirits and a fun time sitting at the bar and tasting! My husband had a fight of 4 tastings and bought a bottle of one of them. The tasting price was subtracted from the bottle price! I had my usual gin and tonic and loved it. They distill all their own spirits on the premise which is an old horse equestrian center. The place is huge and they were hosting 2 events while when we were there. It is frequently used for weddings and would be a great wedding venue. They had 2 food venders onsite, one was more of a sliders type thing and we ordered from libe lulu Mexican and we loved the shrimp appetizer wrapped in bacon and fried pickles and taco. This quaint little distillery was a perfect spot for a warm sunny day! They had the garage doors open and music playing. They distill their liquor at another spot but carry and sell it there. I love espresso Martinis and I love old fashioneds. When I saw an espresso old fashioned on the menu it really piqued my interest. Omg. It was absolutely ridiculously good!! My wife and I stopped into Gypsy Cocktail Bar on our first night in Potosi and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a slightly younger crowd than us, but everyone was welcoming and friendly. Our server was great--helpful and knowledgeable in recommending cocktails we both ended up loving. The live music was a highlight; the guitarist playing that Friday night was truly exceptional. We liked it so much, we returned the following evening and had another pleasant visit, this time at a table instead of the bar. One suggestion: it would be great if they offered some small bites or charcuterie to accompany the drinks. All in all, a great spot to kick off a night out in town. read more

This is a huge, beautiful venue. They do gin, rum, and vodka. Being Michigan and this time of year there were many cherry flavors which I loved! We went late in the day and had to go up to the bar for drinks (not sure if it's always that way) but the bartenders were friendly and speedy. An absolute must stop in the petoskey area! The high fives company has taken an old equestrian barn, and completely transformed it into a 42,000 ft distillery and tasting room. There's an amazing bar area in the front, complete with a lounge area and pool/darts. Wanting some sunshine? There's a porch area with seating and games for beautiful views of the bay. The crown gem in the HUGE open seating area. The staff is super helpful, and can make you one of their custom cocktails, or one of your choosing. Hungry? Don't worry. There's two food options, Dusty's and Libe Lula. We opted for libe- and I will be talking about the food for hours. SO good. Great atmosphere, and even better drinks. Great views. Drinks (I tried Knockout Punch, my wife tried Pear Blossom) were outstanding. Family-friendly atmosphere with plenty for kiddos to keep entertained. Service at food options (Fresh Coast Sliders and Libe Lula) and at bar was warm and inviting. Food at both options was delicious. We stopped here on a mini brewery/distillery crawl when staying with friends in Harbor Springs. The grounds are really impressive with a view of the water and lots of outdoor seating. The interior is massive and very spaced out! We loved the amount of games (pool, darts, cornhole, shuffleboard, etc.) and the live music. Food is ordered at a separate window and we had sliders, sweet potato fries, a specialty hot dog, mini corn dogs, and all were great! While sitting at the bar we were not greeted/acknowledged, given menus, nothing. After sitting at the bar waiting for service for 5 minutes we decided to get into the walk-up drink line. The drink line took over 30 minutes and was very unorganized. Our friends went to sit down and I watched the young woman at the bar make our drinks and I was not impressed. Not to mention, I still did not receive any friendliness from the staff. I wanted to love this place because the vodka is so damn delicious but we most likely won't be back. This is such great place to go. The atmosphere is really lovely. It used to be a horse arena. It has been beautifully converted to bar and entertainment space. They have a couple of food 'trucks' inside. My husband is really glad they added beer and wine to the bar. There is a pool table, shuffle board, darts and a wide open area with corn hole games. Good place for adults and kids. read more

Holy cow what an amazing unexpected experience. We Just passed by on Derby Day and stopped in on a whim for a tasting. Ended up staying for the derby. Had a great snack from the bar, drinks and watched the derby. Lo and behold we were actually sitting next to the owner's father who was SUPER friendly and informative. Best new place to open this year in Northern Michigan, hands down. Cocktails are excellent, the atmosphere is even better. Sit inside or out. Inside they have darts, pool and corn hole. We've tried both food trucks and they are both out of this world. Bay Harbor area needed a place like this, we will be back for sure. read more

My experience with this place was so negative that I felt compelled to share with others on Yelp. My wife and I spend a lot of time in the Petoskey area but since we do not drink we never cared to visit Gypsy Distillery. Today we decided to stop by and see if this is a place that we should recommend to visiting friends and family. We had our two Mini Australian Shepherds with us who are extremely well behaved. Before I enter the facility I looked for any sign that would indicate if dogs were not allowed. As we took a couple steps inside a gentleman behind the bar screamed at us "dogs cannot be in here"! He could certainly have offered us to order a drink and enjoy the weather outside on the patio with our dogs instead of being unprofessional and rude. My advice to this establishment is to post a sign that dogs are not allowed and hire courteous and professional employees to interact with your customers. read more
