The Gyros here are delicious. The meat is charred beautifully while it is then cut thick with a regular knife. The meat is still juicy and delicious. These are traditional gyros on lightly grilled fresh pita bread. They add creamy tzatziki sauce lettuce tomatoes and onions. Vegan review: Gyro House still offers the same friendly service and quality food as at their previous location on Shea and 32nd St., but they menu has been tweaked a bit. I'm so glad they reopened! It's not quite as convenient for me as the last location, but still close to home! This is a great mom-and-pop neighborhood restaurant - so it's great to see them make a go at it again! It's predominately a to-go place, with only a few small tables. The menu is pretty straight forward for a Middle Eastern restaurant. They offer a variety of items that either are vegan, or can be made so. Our favorite is the falafel pita sandwich, which has tahini sauce, hummus, lettuce, tomato and pickles on it. It also comes with a side of fries. The falafels are made fresh, and very tasty. The hummus is a nice, smooth and not to garlicky variety made with decent quality olive oil. I've had the Fattoush salad at their previous location and liked it a lot. The grape leaves are also vegan, and the thyme pita and Greek salads can be made vegan. The lentil soup has chicken stock though. The service is outstanding and prompt. The best thing is that the owner is trying to transition to a plant-based diet, so it's fun to talk with her about food choices while waiting. read more

Love this place, I highly recommend the 6 gyro kit. It's a ton of food, and they don't nickel and dime you on sauce. Their rice is on point too, so soft and moist. Check our what is left after making 4 Gyro's last night. For some strange reason grubhub used to deliver to me last week, now they don't so I hit up Postmates. But man this meat is so flavorful and I love that it no all crazy long strips. Oh and the pitas are like fresh made and the gluten free ones are pretty good! This place is FANTASTIC!!!!!! The restaurant is small with only a few tables and chairs but it seems as we sat and people watched that the majority of people grab their food to go. If you do stay to eat the place is very clean, the staff is friendly and you get to eye the assortment of desserts in the case while you eat. We both had the hummus and the chicken gyro pita. That pita must have weighed 2 pounds and there was no way to finish it all despite desperately wanting to. We've had two things on Gyro House 32's menu. The beef 3 gyro kit, and french fries. The beef is always tender and juicy. The Tzatziki is probably in the top 2-3 that I have ever had. Even better than, Eden's Grill Inn, my previously favorite Mediterranean restaurant. And can anyone tell my why greek restaurants have some of the best french fries? We thought we would give this place a try and I'm Glad we did! The servings were a good size and they made sure we had everything we needed. Due to COVID we could only do takeout.
