If you've never had Mediterranean or Greek food, please don't let this be your first experience. I ordered the Zeus platter for $13.95. Unfortunately, everything but the gyro meat was tasteless. But the gyro meat wasnt any better than meat you can get at grocery store in a gyro kit. The tzatiki sauce was watery and had no flavor, where's the garlic? To make it worse, I paid $1.25 for an extra 2 ounce container. Finally, the platter "says" it come with ROASTED potatoes. I got 3 large BOILED potatoe wedges with some kind of spice sprinkled over them. Honestly, do they think you can't tell the difference between boiled and roasted. I'll finish by saying delivery was quick, but I'd rather wait twice the time for a quality product. read more

The food was tasty and the portion was plentiful. We did have to wait a few minutes to be served, but once we got our food, service was good. Owner asked us several times if everything was ok. We had wings, gyros and pasta salad. They do have items for purchase which was a plus - capers, olives, olive oil, etc.. We had lunch during a recent visit to Williamsburg. My main advise: if you like authentic Greek food don't go to the Gyro Palace. The food taste funny and not really Greek. Take for example the tzaziki, it is tasteless and the calamari appetizer was rubbery. The same with the chicken souvlaki ordered by my companion. I ordered the meat gyro and the meat tasted funny. By the way, don't expect an even adequate customer service. This was overall my worst ever experience in a Greek restaurant. read more

I feel insulted that someone would consider this food and service better than any cheesesteak in Philly. In Philly, the cheesesteaks had a taste. The cook disappeared several times, told us to get our drinks from the refrigerator (no glasses). The food ha d no taste. I ate at alot of greek places and the gyros were better. If you like to get your own glasses or drinks, cook dissappear, no taste food, I recommend this place for you. Also, the view is refreshing (door open) while you eat. This is the second time ordering from them through grubhub. It came in a timely manner which is why it got two stars. The roasted potatoes are also good, all 4 of them that I got...I ordered a veggie panini and it tasted off. As I kept eating it I noticed an almost cigarette flavor to the sauce. I asked my husband to try it also and he almost vomited from how strong the flavor was. I threw away the rest of the sandwich. My husband ordered a rodeo burger which he said was average but a very small patty and portion of fries for almost $10. We ordered delivery since we are being super lazy before game of thrones, and we ordered the following: htpiti with pita, spanakopita, gyro platter, and a panini plaka. Online ordering system was easy to navigate and we were able to pay with PayPal. The food took about 65 minutes to arrive in the time we ordered it and when we called we got a very short answer about the driver being on his way. Fast forward to when the food actually arrived the delivery driver was very sweet woman. Food was actually pretty good the lamb was a little bit dry on my panini. Htpiti Was absolutely fantastic and I would definitely get it again. I really enjoy there gyros here. Simple and satisfying. Pairs very nicely with their Greek salad. Although, I would like to see less iceburg lettuce used and something a bit more leafy green added to it; it's still very nice. There is a very small town feeling to the restaurant itself. read more

Terrible. Seriously every part of my experience was terrible. To start off it was horrific customer service. However, I'll be honest I can deal with bad customer service for great food. The food was disgusting and over priced. Over priced only because it was so gross. I love Greek food and I can assure you what this place has to offer is not delicious authentic Greek food. Little place, blink and you'll miss it. Cozy atmosphere. Food was excellent but stick with the Greek stuff. Never get why people go to a Greek restaurant and are surprised when the pizza and wings aren't great. Reasonable prices for a good amount of food. One of the best ethnic restaurants in this area. I only do take out but it is a decent place to sit down. My favorite is the Chicken gyro. The ingredients are so fresh and the food is very flavorful. I also would recommend the philly cheese steak, they pack it with meat and I think its the . The tip is to get it from the combo, you get fries and drink with it for less price than from the menu list. read more

I have to update my review for a couple of reasons. First is that after my first experience I went here on a monday night, about fifteen minutes before closing. Expecting dried-out meat and the dregs of whatever they had on hand I still got an amazing gyro that was definitely worth the late-night trip (though I only live about ten minutes away). I am definitely taking away a star though due to the delivery operations. My first review was based on a delivery order through Grubhub.com which got here earlier than the quoted ETA despite being at peak dinner time. I ordered today at 12:02 and was quoted on grubhub at an ETA of 1 - 1:10. A few minutes later I got an update email from grub hub with an ETA of 1:05-1:15. I have class at 2. By 1:25 it still hadn' t arrived so I called the store and they said the driver had just left and I was the first stop, so it should definitely arrive within the next ten minutes. I told them I had to leave for class by 1:40 so I would appreciate it if they called their driver or did whatever it took to make sure it arrived by then. At 1:35 I began to compose a note to leave for the driver explaining the situation so that I could leave at 1:40 and not be responsible for the charges. As I put the final period on the note at 1:38 the doorbell rang and my food arrived. Not only could I tell that this poor delivery lady knew she was bringing my food well after the expected arrival time, but she was also not given a receipt for me to sign (I charged the order to my credit card and put a note on the order that I would write in a tip on the receipt when the delivery arrived, so all she got was a $1 cash tip since I only had one single on me). I told her to make sure her managers knew that when orders were late SHE was the one affected (since when I called it was clear when the order left and the person who answered made a point of saying that they were backed up). The food was still delicious and exactly how I ordered but I had to wolf it down and couldn't really enjoy it since I had about 2 minutes to eat. At the end of the day I give Gyro Palace a 2/5 because the food is delicious but their delivery is not consistent at all, and in a world where domino's can guarantee 30 minute delivery this is just unacceptable. read more

Horrible experience with this place. Had delivered to The Virginia Beer Company, Took over an hour to get horrible food. Of course I did order a burger and some wings, maybe should have stuck with a gyro. But the "deluxe cheeseburger" was poor quality, small, and just not good. Fries didn't travel well, neither did the chicken wings (rubbery texture on the skin). I haven't eaten at the restaurant, only received delivery and will not make that mistake again. read more

I have read both good and bad reviews. I don't agree with either of them. First off to someone that wrote this place would not last a day in NY. I have spent a lot of time in and around NYC and this place is better than almost all of the Gyros I have tried, and of course cost way less. The Gyros here are good. They are not the best I've eaten but for the price they are awesome. There is another place just down the street and the family is from Athens. I am appalled by the customer service at Gyro Palace. I put in an order at 2 PM for delivery. Not only did it take one hour for the order to be delivered, but then they sent the wrong food. I had to call to ask them to send the correct order. It has been 2 1/2 hours since the original order was placed, and I have still have NOT received my food. When I called to check on the progress, the guy on the phone was basically like: "what's the rush?" Again, I am disgusted by their lack of urgency. If you mess up someone's order, I believe that should be prioritized before everything else that is going on at the restaurant. It's a shame because the food is good overall, but I can honestly say I'll never order from them again. I would tell my friends to not order from them again, too. read more
