    Homey small business

Small business authentic food great spot for pickup takeout fare. I had the lamb burger, great flavorful good sized patty cooked just right.

The two chicken breast and the little rice. Grilled Chicken Breast

I'm out here visiting and ordered from this restaurant. The food was so nasty. I ordered the grilled chicken breast. It had the worst taste ever and the rice as well. I usually don't waste my money but I couldn't even force myself to eat it. The portion was real small and I'm surprised it didn't come with a small section of vegetables and the tzatziki sauce like most places that sell gyros. I would definitely not recommend anyone to go there, I now see why the parking lot was empty.

Gyro Palace: My check for a Gyro, Greek Salad, and a box of candy. An itemized receipt would be a nice touch.

Snookered once again! Two days ago I had just left Colonial Pie Company, and was on my way to Pho 79, with my order firmly in mind, when I stumbled across GP. Small, tidy building. Inside, it was clean and perky. I browsed a menu for about 5 minutes, then ordered a Lamb Gyro and a Greek Salad. While I was waiting, I noticed a very eye-catching box of Ouzo hard candy. It was primarily a beautiful Cycladic blue, so I guess it qualifies as eye candy, $4.95. I thought that was a bit much for a 300g box, but I purchased it, and later found the same product on Amazon ($9.55), Walmart ($5.99), Greekmarket ($6.25). So $4.95 at the Gyro Palace is great... plus no shipping costs! Fifteen minutes later I was headed home, drooling. At home, I set aside the Greek Salad, because that will easily stay fresh for a few hours. Gyro time! The Gyro was primed with a tasty Tzatziki sauce, and had an additional cup of Tzatziki sauce (at least I believe they were the same) on the side. It was a very good Lamb Gyro. Weighing in at 14.7 ounces, it was perhaps not the best LG I've had, but still worth repeating. I ate half on Sunday, and set aside half for the next day. Then the Greek Salad (Iceberg lettuce, Tomatoes, Bermuda Onion, Kalamata Olives with Pits, Feta, Cukes, Green Pepper.) That's the way to do a Greek Salad! Abundant Feta! The only thing I found disturbing about the GS was the Kalamata Olives which had an odd (to my palate) taste. Not a bad taste at all, just not what I was used to. So I paused mid-salad to eat all the olives by themselves. Then resumed with the leafy stuff. I can't wait to return! So many Greek and American dishes I want to try!

Delicious Mom and Pop style Greek restaurant. Totally a hole in the wall but absolutely worth the visit. Seen in a magazine and so so so glad that we stopped by. The Greek food feel like what you'd get of you stopped by someone's home and they made you dinner. Best Greek food I've had in a while! Very clean and nice atmosphere. Great service and a good selection of Greek imports in a little shop.

    Pizza. Nope.

I'm not a big fan of one star reviews. I was asked what my favorite and least favorite restaurants were in Williamsburg. I can now safely say this is on the list of least favorite. If you like falafels that pair nicely with round rubber hockey pucks, the falafels are right up your alley. If you take a bite of the pizza and close your eyes you'll think you are at an amusement park with their pre made pizzas. The Greek style meatballs, were similar to burnt round flavorless meatballs.

    Santorini Panini w/ roasted potatoes

I had a very average lunch experience here. I used them for delivery when I couldn't escape the office. $12 minimum, so I had to order a bit more than I needed. If I recall correctly it was delivered in about 30 minutes, which was what was promised on Grub Hub. I went with the Santorini Panini and a side of hummus. I wouldn't order the panini again. It had grilled chicken pieces, spinach, mozzarella and marinara sauce and was served with roasted potatoes. I found the sandwich to be pretty bland honestly. And the chicken was dry. The potatoes were also rather bland. The hummus was good though. If I give them another try it will be to get something more traditional like a gyro or souvlaki. And unless ordering with someone else I'll get takeout to save some money.

I've been all over Italy, Asia, and No America...and this is easily the best pizza I have ever had. The small pizza is still huge, even my 15yo couldn't finish the four slices. The service was attentive and wonderful. Our server was kind, helpful, and interacted really well with our kiddos. I will say that it's a little loud, so that could be overwhelming for some people. But the restaurant is super clean, the decor is fun, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect at a busy pizzeria. I cannot recommend this place enough. Like, I may actually travel the 3,000 miles back to Williamsburg again just for the pizza.

The ambiance is like a dim lighted factory. It's connected to a few other eateries and brewery with restrooms in the lobby of all facilities. Ordered the pretzel bites with a beer cheese. These were good in the sense of being soft, chewy dough balls to dip in cheese. I don't believe they tasted like pretzels at all. They tasted more like the pizza dough, but still a good appetizer. Ordered a pepperoni pizza. Dough was fluffy and airy. It seemed a bit over proofed. The pepperoni overcrowded the top and made for a very greasy topping. Sauce is sweeter than my liking. The taste was similar to a commercial chain pizza so younger children tend to love that. Overall, an interesting setting. We left with full bellies and prices were reasonable.

Traveling solo, I was staying next door to (shares the same parking lot with) the Fairfield Inn right off Richmond and Bypass Roads. Arrived and checked in late in the evening and once I was settled into my room, was too lazy to head out again into the cold Winter night to find a place to eat. This pizza joint was the easy, no-hassle option to call over for a carry-out pie and can of soda. My whole order was like $13 and was ready in like 15 minutes. Couldn't really ask for more than that. The worker manning the register was pleasant and friendly. The place inside is totally nothing to write home about - this place is basically a carry out and delivery operation so don't expect even an adequate sit down, dine in area. But it's fine for what it is. The pizza itself was pretty darn good for a $10 10" pie - perfect for 1. It was piping hot out of the oven, toppings were fresh and plentiful (no skimping on topping portions - see my pic), cheese was gooey, melty and stringy, hand tossed crust was chewy just-so. Guy supplied me with plates, plastic utensils, napkins and condiment packets (you have to ask for them). I was back in my hotel room in a flash. Couldn't ask for any more. Would I seek this place out if I wasn't staying steps away at the Fairfield Inn? No I would not. Sorry - truth. But if you're staying at the Fairfield and you're looking for a decent meal that's fast and cheap and conveniently located, go here. Prices are reasonable for what you get so as a student looking for a delivery meal deal, this is probably a good choice as well. Deserving of an average joe-blow 3 stars. Not a knock - just a very average pizza spot that serves its purpose and doesn't deserve more than that.

However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing.
