Food is decent but very expensive for what you get. Also, be very careful when ordering. This is the second time I have been here and I have be gouged for items on my bill. I ordered bacon and a side of toast, but ended up charging me for two orders of toast. Just yesterday, I received two pieces of toast for an order but today an order is one slice. The cashier completely bullshitted me, which is infuriating. It may be petty, but it is this bullshit that makes me want to eat at home and not support local businesses when they get greedy and try screwing their customers. Probably won't be back. read more

I'm not sure if COVID is to blame or this location took a turn from how great the original was, but man I was not happy with my first time here. I've been to the original a few times but it has been at least a year since my last visit, so I figure I try this spot since it's closer to me anyways. Friday evening around 7:30pm, the store was complteely empty. Jamba Juice next door was packed, Starbucks, the pizza place, everywhere around it busy except here. That should've been my first sign to turn away. I walk in and was greeted instantly which was nice, and I let the female line worker know it would be a minute, which she acknowledged, but she just stared at me as if I was wasting her time. And it seemed as I was because the whole time she prepared my wrap she was bent over and leaning her arm on the food station and sloppily throwing ingredients onto the pita. If the original place hasn't changed, I'm disappointed to see this space turn into an assembly-line style similar to Chipotle and Subway. The meat just sits in the warming trays and obviously the lack of customers doesn't prompt the spits from rotating as you would see at Zankou. I ordered the wrap with lamb, fries, tomato, parsley, onion, OMG sauce and tzatziki. I never had the OMG sauce but was told it was a jalapeno flavor so I went with it. I also asked for a side of the garlic paste and tan/yogurt drink. All totaled just under $15. The cashier was a ray of sunshine compared to the other worker, she was friendly, attentive, lively, and made sure I had everything I needed. I ate outside and was disappointed to see how sloppy the wrap looked, they definitely load up the ingredients which is great for the amount you pay, but all the sauce and veggies get smashed when folded in the wrappers and when you unravel it, the whole thing falls apart. As for the food itself, the good is that the pita is warm and fluffy, the fries are still crispy, and the veggies are fresh. The garlic paste is also excellent. Sadly the star of the show falls so far behind it disqualifies itself from the race. The lamb is dry, chewy, luke-warm (queue the issue with it sitting in the warming tray for who-knows how long). And because of that, the salt really comes out and it's just so overly salty. The tzatziki sauce sadly washed away under the OMG sauce (which I had hoped would compliment one another) and the only thing I was saying was "omg this is bad sauce". Sure it's jalapeno but the only thing you taste is mayonnaise and jalapeno. There's no "flavor" to it other than the spice of the jalapeno. It's just a lazy way of making sauce. I hope the original location still lives up to what I and my family enjoyed in the past but even if it did, this visit turned me away from visiting either spot again in the future. read more

The good: There is both indoor and outdoor seating (though outdoors there are only 2 tables fit for 2 people each). This is a casual Mediterranean food spot with great portions sizes and delicious food. I got a rice plate with chicken (2 types: kebab and souvlaki style) with all of the toppings (though it came on the side and not on top of the chicken and rice) with the signature sauce (jalapeno sauce). I liked that the jalapeno sauce tasted of fresh jalapenos and added a nice kick. I also liked the white garlicky sauce. The toppings included red onion, cucumber, olives, tomato, and Italian parsley. The rice was fluffy and tan/yellowish colored. The rice plate also came with a fluffy pita. I also tried my husband's beef wrap with rice (you had the option to substitute the rice with fries). For under $5, we added a side of breaded fries that were very crunchy and tasty. The wrap was around $10 and the rice plate was around $13. The rice plate came with tons of meat and rice and was big enough for me to have 2 meals. There was fun music playing outside (that I didn't hear inside). The service was quick and friendly. The bad: I would have liked more vegetable/toppings. The girl who wrapped the wrap for us closed the wrap right on top of a super open yogurt sauce so it all got smashed and spread all over the foil instead of staying inside the wrap. I am not sure the solution to this since the wrap itself is smaller and the stuffing inside takes up all of the space. My husband ate the wrap with a fork and knife since it was too stuffed to really hold and eat as a wrap. The interesting: They said it's $1 for extra side of sauce but then they gave us two sauces on the side at the end (for free I believe). We did want the red sauce and paid for that one. You can also get larger containers of sauce on the side for an extra fee. They offer catering and have 2 locations in Santa Clarita. read more

Food is good, but.... The falafel plate is overpriced when compared with the other plates, lamb, beef, pork, etc. Just look in the pictures at the difference in portions. The last time I checked garbanzo beans were way cheaper than meat. Maybe is a Greek thing, but in Middle Easter restaurants Tzatziki sauce is not a side dish, but a condiment. We've been to gyro mania once and we didn't like it, but we wanted to give them another try. We came in for dinner and got the filet mignon. We spent $40 on two plates. The serving was really small for $20 per plate and the beef was more on the salty side. The beef was put on top of a "bed" of rice, but the rice barely covered the plate. The pita and the hummus was good though I would prefer maybe a little garlic with the hummus. Service was great! read more

Our group came in for a bite after our morning events and ordered 6 lamb plates to go. The menu is easily read and deciphered as it's posted on the wall with descriptions of what goes in what. The portions were decent and the food was fresh! The lamb was sliced off a rotating spit. The sauces we ordered included the tzatziki, garlic and jalapeño. Be forewarned that the jalapeño although tasty was spicy! The pita bread is warmed up before planing into containers or wrapped in foil and was still soft and chewy when we arrived home. I had also ordered baba ganoush but the man forgot to give it to me sadly. The salad was fresh, topped with red onions, tomato, feta cheese, cucumbers and olives but didn't come with a dressing. The fries were a hit with our friends as they were freshly prepared upon ordering but are seasoned in a spice blend so beware in case you don't care for that! I had high hopes for the falafel but they were too dense and lacked flavor even though they were also freshly deep fried. Three friendly employees kept the line and orders moving. I rarely write reviews anymore but this place deserves it. Every bite I took was a solid 10/10. The falafel was great, especially with the garlic spread. The Gyromania fries were AMAZING. I ordered these for pick up, stopped at another store after getting them, came home and talked to my husband for a while before even taking a bite and my fries were STILL fresh and crunchy and no where near soggy. I see what all the hype is about. Delicious, authentic Greek food with great service! I got the lamb wrap with all the toppings and the traditional sauce. The lamb is delicious and the fries are also quite good. Unless you prefer rice, I would recommend the fries (each wrap comes with fries or rice). I would also get a second pita next time because my wrap was about to explode with all the toppings and you could honestly create another pita wrap with all the meat and toppings. The employees are so kind. One of them offered a complimentary drink because the wait was a little longer than normal. They do work very quickly but there was a large catering order right before me.
