What a disappointing experience. It's sad because the food was actually pretty good. Ordered online picked up order the receipt was significantly lower than what we paid. When I called and questioned it said because I ordered through doordash. The online ordering says no charge orders through doordash. As you can see there's a significant difference between doordash and picking up in person. I am upset because know where does it tell you that there's a charge it actually says no charge but you can see by the receipt that they charged me way more. If you value honesty with a business go somewhere else. Please look at the photos it says no charge then you can see what they charged us and what the actual charge was. Can a place with a drive thru line actually be...good? Turns out you can find good food at places that look more like McDonalds than Morton's. We needed a late lunch and this place more than fit the bill. Got the gyro filled with lots of, well, gyro meat that wasn't over cooked. Lots of it too. While showing my daughter around (she came to visit) we realized we were all starving. I went fried. Wife chose a "rice bowl" and the kid chose shrimp alfredo. It's self seating, fast food style. The dining room was relatively clean and bright. The booth benches were decently comfortable and in good repair. There were on a few other folks in there at the time so the noise level was low. The food came out relatively fast considering most things are made to order. The wife said her rice bowl was decent but the black beans tasted like they had just opened a can and dumped them in. The kid (who is a professional in the restaurant industry), said the pasta was decent but she was disappointed they didn't remove the shrimp "tails". I was a little dumbfounded at that choice also. Was it to save time in prep? My shrimp was pretty damn good! Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside. Well seasoned and plump! I chose fries for my side and the portion was huge. Overall a decent experience for a quick stop neighborhood seafood joint. I will definitely visit again. Weird Factoid - i dunno who their condiment supplier is but they need a different one. EVERY condiment we tried was just WEIRD. The cocktail sauce was strangely thick and lumpy. Tasted ok. The hot sauce was an odd color and had a weird consistency. Looked like a chemical spill. Ordered 2 dinners, shrimp with fries, over cooked, fish dinner was so salty could not eat it, had to drink a gallon of water, taste like they used lbs of seasoning on 2 lil pieces of fish, I ask not 2 fry so hard, it was so hard and over seasoned. I called Gyros, they never ever offer any refund, just say I'm sorry. The fish was not edible, I threw it out, told Manger I was not driving back. Usually they offer a lil 10% off on next visi, never a free meal next visit. Just I'm sorry this time. Customer service is not good, That Seasoned flour is gonna b the end of some customer. This was on my list of places to try. It's in a convenient location so it's be perfect for lunch. The food was hit or miss. Some of the food seemed to be made there: the protein was seasoned and grilled there. The crab leg cluster was very well seasoned! The grilled chicken and gyro was ok. Fries lacked flavor and the Cesar salad came with a generic dressing. We went through drive thru and for some products being made to order, it was pretty efficient. This is a sad review as the food is pretty good. I went through the drive thru. I was able to drive right up to the order mic. I started placing my order with a gentleman clearly not intrested. I orderd a combo and was told the cost without sharing my side or beverage request. No big deal as I figured I'd square it up at the pick up window. I was behind one car, no big deal, took about four minutes. Pulled up to the window, sat for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. I drove off without getting my food. I am sure this threw off the orders and cars behind me,but that isn't my problem nor is the food they probably had to throw out. Had I been acknowledged or spoken to I would have stayed, waited, paid and then left. Sadly, even with two people standing or passing the window, taking orders, making drinks I couldn't even get a head nod or smile. I rather patronize business that appreciate my business enough to at least pretend that they appreciate my business. I have eaten here several times. It's located on the corner of Washington and 9th so it attracts an eclectic clientele. Their gyros and Philly cheesesteak are good. I know they have crab legs but they are way overpriced, otherwise I would try them. For $1.00 you can get a huge soft-serve ice cream cone. My family and I enjoyed the delicious food. I'm only giving 2 stars because of the poor customer service received. If it were my husband rating this restaurant, he'd give it 1 star or none (because that's how perturbed he was). While ordering our meal, my husband asked for three waters. She rang up the price for 3 Dasani Water Bottles. He said, "Oh no ma'am, we would just like to drink water from your soda fountain." To which she stared at him (and due to her wearing a mask, you could hardly hear her.) Her response was a stare and then she finally told him, "okay- I'll charge you for three small drinks." He didn't like that very much because back home in Texas we don't pay for water. The total was $48 and some change. He gave her a $100 bill. She gave him back $31 and some change. He said, "Excuse me ma'am- you've shorted me $20," as he was still holding out his hand (with the cash back in it) like he did when she handed it to him. She stared at him once more. (She was slow at communicating, which seemed to be the problem.) Then she looked back at her manager, to which my husband said louder, "Yes--she's shorting me $20...and she's charging me for waters!" The cashier finally gave him back the full amount (which was $51 and some change.) We sat and enjoyed our food along with the waters we paid for. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the taste of the food paled in comparison to the poor customer service we received. It's unfortunate that this single employee could negatively affect our first impression and visit so much. read more

The gyros are pre-fab and do not appear to be sliced to order. The tzatziki sauce was uninspiring and the anemic tomatoes bland. I can say the place is fairly clean. I've been here multiple times, but the last couple times have been very underwhelming. I normally get the Philly cheesesteak and it was good the first couple times. However, this last visit was the icing on the cake for me. The food came out relatively quick, which was a plus and the fries were good, but that's where the food ended for me. The sandwich had very little meat and veggies and there were huge slabs of provolone that looked to be thrown on cold. They didn't even bother trying to make it a true cheesesteak. Isn't the point to have the cheese melted and the sandwich hot? The sandwich wasn't even close to warm and was pretty nasty. I didn't bother sending it back as I had to be back at work and didn't have the time. I'll just go to Wawa for a cheesesteak next time...better quality and price. read more

My husband and I order 2 or 3 times a month from Gyros and had never had a problem - until today. An order of clams and sauce were left off the order. We paid for them. I called and was told the manager remembered putting them in the bag. I don't know what bag they were put in but it wasn't ours. The manager did not get on the phone and this was not cleared up. I don't know how everyone else deals with this but I would suggest thoroughly check their order before pulling away. The gyro was piled high, full of great thin sliced meat of lamb and beef combination. On a toasted pita bread, dressed with onions, tomatoes and flavored nicely with tzatziki sauce. The fish is a fresh cut and a large portion of cod fish, larger than the bun! Also topped with tartar sauce for extra mouth watering flavor. We both had fries as the extra, clean oil and crispy! Have ordered from this place several times. I have been in-person to get a seafood tray and have also had them delivered. The in-person pickup order had more butter sauce and veggies. The food was hot and delicious both tines. The sauce was rich and gorgeous. The crab was tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Plenty of garlic and the shrimp tasted fresh. For having gyro in the name of the resturant, I expected a great gyro. After ordering a gyro, the amount of meat out on it is less than any other gyro food place you will go too.
