I came into town from California and was in the mood for some crab. After consulting Yelp, I walked a half hour from my hotel to Juicy Seafood. It was well worth it! For less than $50, I got 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb of blue crab, potatoes, corn, bottled water, and fried rice. The crab was cooked to perfection -- the meat was easy to remove from the shell and was delicious. They gave me a bib and plenty of napkins. There were 3 single diners (including myself) dining-in while I was there. So I wasn't the only one to satiate a crab craving solo! There were a bunch of people who got their orders to-go also. Pretty Good Crab Legs! When I walked in there was a line and people sitting at the tables inside eating. The cashier was friendly enough when she took my order, I took a seat and waited until my food was ready. I ordered Combo D with an extra 1/2 pound of crab legs and 6pc lemon pepper wings. The crab boil is served in a large bag even on to go orders. The crab legs were a nice size, so were the shrimp both were equally good. We had a great experience at Juicy Crab! Everything we ordered tasted really good, and the menu is reasonably priced for the quality and portions. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. In town visiting my brother so of course I had to get a seafood boil while I was here. My brother has eaten here before and said it was really good, and I can confirm it was delicious. I thought it was very reasonably priced for how much food you're given. I ordered mild spice level and I will say it was pretty spicy to me, so if you can't handle spice like me very well be warned. I also have to add they had such good music playing, I really enjoyed singing to myself while I was enjoying delicious food. My only complaint was that I wished they gave metal forks because I like to use them to open my crab legs. My husband and I recently moved to the Sarasota area and were craving a seafood boil and decided to try out Juicy Seafood! The restaurant was order at the counter style and we ordered combination B as well as hush puppies. The food was very reasonably priced. Our food came out quickly as well which was very nice. The seafood was seasoned juicy style and was spicy, per our request. It was so tasty and flavorful, especially paired with the cajun rice! The only reason I knocked off one star is because the seafood is served in a plastic bag and I couldn't stop thinking of the plastic leeching into the meal as plastic should not be heated up. Additionally, they do not provide crackers for the crab so we had to use our nails and teeth, which felt wrong. I for sure would come back as the food was amazing but will make sure to request crackers upfront and maybe see if they can serve the food in a tray instead. Regardless though, the food was amazing and we will be back! read more

We stopped by here after leaving the beach for some lunch: It's located in a small shopping center. My dad and I got the $11 lunch special baskets which came with the seafood item, choice of fries and a can drink. I got the 3 pieces of tilapia fish with Cajun fries and a soda. My mom tried the seafood bag with a 1/2 pound of shrimp, a piece of corn, broccoli and a potato and also a soda. The prices are really good at this place. We think Juicy Seafood is an excellent find. We heard about it on a Sarasota foodies site on Facebook. We now go regularly. The seafood is fantastic. We get the seafood boil and it's spicy and fresh. We get the combo C and it is chock full of clams, shrimp, lobster, crab, potatoes and corn with a fabulous spicy sauce (the garlic butter sauce with mild spice added). We always add the broccoli which is a fantastic addition. Tonight we also added the ramen which we all loved. And it's ABUNDANT! It truly is enough for 4-6 people. The people who work there are so kind and sweet. The place is immaculate and we always go with a crowd of friends and everyone LOVES it. Searched high and low for a good tasting king crab at a competitive price. I quantity out did quality but none the less 90% of the king crab was full of juicy crab meat. We did the butter garlic mild but it was a bit too spicy for me but my significant other really enjoyed. I guess it's just personal preference. Nice staff and food came out very quickly around the dinner rush. They do not give and tools for the crab but they are few and far between needed because they crack the shells for you and they are cracked at a good place to get the easiest access to the crab meat. I've been to Sarasota for a week searching down a good seafood place and this did not disappoint. If you want a fine dining this is not it but if you want fine dining food and a good price, you just can't beat it. read more

I ordered one of the combo (B) shrimp, lobster tail and snow crab. The bag includes a 1/3 of an ear of corn in the cob and 2 red potato's. My wife ordered the king crab dinner (1lb). Also ordered the hush puppies. The seafood was fresh and tasted great. You can use the sauce, garlic butter, Cajun (level of spicy) and others. The initial thought tonight was "Oh Hell Nah" but after we finished we were "Oh hell yeah!!!" A recommend but bring your wallet. read more

Tried this place for the first time since it was closer to me. The younger lady behind the counter was nice, but the restaurant itself could definitely use some improvements. The counter setup looks like it's stuck in the COVID era, with a mic and clear screen, which makes interactions feel impersonal. The crab sauce was good, but I was really disappointed with the snow crab legs--out of a pound, I got four legs that were completely hollow with no meat inside. For the price, that's unacceptable. Also, they don't offer refillable drinks--just cans or bottles--which is something they could easily improve. Another downside is the ordering process. I had to go to the counter to order and pay before dining in, and they asked for a tip upfront before I even got my food. No table service at all. Food was really good. Service was fine. This is not a place one comes to for the vacation vibes. It's more of a "I want really good seafood, but don't feel like changing out of my beach clothes and putting make-up on place". My 20-something daughter was very apprehensive about even walking into the place as it's nondescript in a strip mall and not very appealing looking from the outside. The good news is that when we walked inside, it was pretty busy and filled with what appeared to be locals, which is always a good sign. I noticed quite a few people picking up to-go orders which might be the way to go and then you can enjoy it back on the beach or at your resort/condo. My 2 adult daughters shared the combo C and I had the fried shrimp. They liked that you could pick your sauce and spice level. Combo C easily could have fed 3 as they brought some of it home. The fried shrimp were very good-fresh and plump. As others have mentioned, boils are quite messy and they only give plastic forks and paper plates so it's a little challenging to crack crab shells, etc. We wound up using our weight and pushing them against the table! So if you don't like working for your food, I'd suggest bringing your own utensils. I asked my kids if they would come back and they said yes definitely! I am on the fence as I prefer a little more ambience when I'm on vacation. Next time I think we will get it to enjoy back at the condo! read more
