My current obsession! Stopped in on a whim for lunch one day because it's near my office, and was so pleasantly surprised. Prices were more than reasonable, and the food was very fresh and flavorful. The interior was casual and clean, and the servers were friendly. I had ordered the Prince Ali (gyro meat) gyro and my husband got the chicken, and we both devoured them happily. Their tzatziki sauce was awesome and creamy, and the meat was some of the best I've had in town. I had the tabouli with mine, but next time would sub in the hummus and pitas because they looked delicious. Our total bill was about $15 for gyros, drinks, and sides and were exceptionally happy with it. We will definitely be back! read more

It's not the worst gyro I've ever had but these guys have to work a lot in their products. It meet feels like frozen meet, vegetables are ok, services is not good at all, there's only one guy. I had the pleasure of flying with the owner, who cajoled me into stopping by to eat on the way out of town. Best advice I've had in many years. I had the combination plate with both chicken and beef. I've had filet mignon in fine restaurants that wasn't as tender as his beef, and the chicken had just enough spice on it to add more flavor to the meal, and both were done perfectly. I found this restaurant via Keep It Local Ok. A food truck turned brick and mortar, their simple menu is just fine with me. I had the Big Bird platter with a "small" hummus (not on the menu) which was way more than I could eat. The hummus had an excessive amount of paprika, almost more than I could stand. Underneath that it was good. The chicken on the platter was nice and zesty and I loved the sauce- no hints of cucumber. I will definitely be back! This is my favorite lunch spot. They started off with the food truck and it was great. Now they have the brick and mortar shop and it is Fantastic!!! The brothers who run it are so nice and even remember my wife and I when we come in. The food is Always spot on. Consistent every time. The tzatziki sauce is the best I've ever had, a little spice, a lot creamy and yummy. I always get the chicken platter and my wife gets the gyro and adds cheese... cause ya can lol I also found out they have curly fries which is not on the menu and they are bomb! Very fresh hot pita bread... Everything was fresh and made to order! Very good Tzatziki sauce and hummus.The gyro meat is not 100% lamb but a mix of lamb/beef, I was unsure at first wanting only lamb but the mix was actually really good and very well seasoned. I had the gyro pita sandwich and it was a very good value for the money. My husband and son both had the gyro platters and were equally impressed at the portion size. One of my favorite places in Tulsa! I moved here from out of state and this place was my first meal in Tulsa the day I moved into my apartment. Pleasantly surprised by this place. It seems like many "old school" Greek/Mediterranean places get their furniture from a 1970's high cafeteria. Although trivial I hate the cheap and dirty feel of places like that regardless of the food. Ali's on the other hand very much reminded me of a modern Qudoba...not too fancy but clean and neat. The menu and simple and complete. Not overly complicated but still a good diverse variety. I'm try to eat low-carb and their salads are PERFECT for this. To the owners, not to knock the locals but assume many Americans don't know what each of your foods are by the name alone. I would suggest more pictures of the items that aren't as commonly known. Traveling the world has diversified my pallet...I promise there are tons of potential customers who would love your products but might not know what they are. I had the sultan salad which was great! The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Also...I LOVED that I wasn't asked to sign a receipt that had the option to add a tip. I can always choose to leave a tip or ask to but when the subtle pressure to tip at places like Starbucks I'm always turned off. Go try Ali's! read more

This is some of the best (if not the best) Mediterranean food I've ever had. I absolutely devoured my falafel bowl. The pita was incredible, the taziki is delicious, and the falafel was some of the best I've had, not to mention their hummus was great too. We always enjoy the food here. This was the first place we ate when we moved to Tulsa and it's now our "go to" for nights when no one feels like cooking. As other reviewers have noted, granted, the food is not authentic Mediterranean food but it's a fun twist on the original. Kids love that they have curly fries. Gyros By Ali is a great example of both the benefits and the pitfalls of a former food truck turned into a full restaurant. There is a limited menu, but this keeps the focus on what they do best. The cost isn't as cheap as most food trucks, but it's on par with comparable casual dining. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I had a Prince Ali, a fine example of a standard gyro/kebab. Works great with the Sriracha they have on hand. I also tried the pita and hummus. The hummus is also standard fare and held up to my expectations quite well. The baklava is decent but doesn't compare to the best hand made stuff. I had the misfortune of coming in right after a large group. Two employees were drowning in twenty orders, so I can't blame them for waiting quite a while. If you can avoid busy times, this is definitely worth a try. read more

Excellent food! Sometimes you have to wait a minute if a ton of people are there, but it is well worth the wait--and it's a clean environment, too. There's also great customer service--even when pesky businessmen are pestering the cooks! I noticed a marketing guy trying to talk to the cook during the lunch rush, and the cook was kind and polite throughout the encounter even though he clearly was juggling orders. I found that the staff handled the situation with great aplomb, and it made me admire them even more! read more
