I have been eating here for the past four years, today is my daughter birthday and we ordered for catering. We ordered some gyros , chicken , falafel and tabouli. Every one at the party enjoyed every bit of the food , thank you gyros king for making her day , I recommend them for everyone

Chicken and rice were delicious. Pita was nice and soft and the salad was satisfying. I give the overall plate a 7/10.

Not very familiar with this area. I stumbled into this restaurant and have it a try. Wow... food was incredible and fresh. Their prices are so reasonable. What a great find!

A cockroach in the soggy, cold delivery. I feel so nauseated. This is the worst possible experience with a restaurant.

I found this place after I started working across the street! I go there regularly for lunch! The food always hits the spot.

I've heard for years about how great this place is still. I supported early on and it lost its…read moreflavor but tonight. NEVER WILL I EVER COME BACK. The waitress was lack luster in personality, we sat down asked for hummus and the young guy with long hair on staff said they didn't have change for a $20 so a 7.99 hummus turned into a 20 dollar bill when he never brought back the $5 my friend said just to bring back as a tip. Then my mom's hummus lamb plate had a clump of hair in the hummus. The staff, "would you like us to remake it or a refund" no I'm sorry not anything to remedy the situation. Between the 5 of us with to go plates was nearly $130 ish. I'm so disappointed and know the owner would be upset with how his staff handled this. My chicken saaj bowl also was lack luster in flavor, I go to another Mediterranean place locally that is way way way more flavor. Hope the owner has a talk with his team about back of the kitchen etiquette so there isn't food in other people's food.

Absolutely the smoothest, fresh made hummus I've had in TN & the pitas tasted fresh too. Chicken swarma wrap was a great lunch bite. The menu wasn't available on their QR code/website, nor did they have any physical menu's to provide full scope and explanation of options which is a huge detriment to someone walking in first time. Because the food isn't Taziki's or other Gyro places that you encounter on a "Mediterranean" search here, they really need to address that. Staff is nice but alittle passive, & it is hard to know what options to ask them without any point of reference other than the few popular items listed on a board by name only. I even checked here, which doesn't have their full line up either. But - if you are adventurous, definitely give this a go! Small but not tight in seating; clean and cute cafe set up.

Everything is meant to be share style on the menu, and so we opted to do a few starting dips with pita bread as well as some salads and two main dishes. The pita bread was honestly the highlight of my night! It was made fresh and it was so simple, but so delectable on its own, even without the hummus, which was also delicious. I think this is one of the best places you can go for good appetizers. I felt that the meat was good, but not as stand out as the hummus and the asparagus salad. I would love to come back for the pita bread alone. The service was exceptional, with an attentive and friendly staff.

Decided to give it another try and probably won't go back. I think I'll give 4 stars because it's probably some people's favorite place but I'd probably rank it lower. Was good but honestly boring. I can get the same meal but better up the street on Gallatin with more decor, great staff, and more reasonable prices. It was pretty slow even with only a few tables taken on a week night. The explanation of the menu items wasn't clear even after asking (I don't think the staff member was fully knowledgeable on the ingredients) so we just picked what sounded okay and went with it.

This Chicago Style Gyros sits on Dickerson Pike just off of 65 and is known for their...you guessed…read moreit, gyros! This spot is old school from the menu boards to the decor and seating. Nothing fancy here, good old fashioned gyros, service and prices. There is a drive thru or dine-in, I stopped by and decided to pop inside and the speed of order, preparation and walking out was the same as I would have gotten in the drive thru. They are efficient! I went with the Philly Steak Gyro (which is misspelled on their menu, just adding to the charm) and a side of fries. The combo for both runs you about $14. The gyro meat was sliced, cut and then tossed on the flat top along with peppers and onions (86 peppers for me), then packed on to a warm pita and topped with tzatziki or ranch...of course I went tzatziki. The fries were lightly seasoned and well fried. The gyro was not the prettiest thing or the easiest to eat, but it was jam packed and tasty! Only negative, if I would even call it that was it was a bit greasy, which made for "wet" portions of the pita from being wrapped up. Service was friendly. They get to business when you walk in, so don't take too long to browse the menu...keep it moving! The space is worn and dated, but again, the vibe seems right for this spot. Overall, solid spot for a tasty gyro in NE Nashville!
