LOVE THIS PLACE! The food was incredible! Every bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. The staff were so friendly and made the experience 10x more memorable. Ambience was beautiful and romantic!

Came here with a friend on a Saturday evening with a reservation. We were seated immediately in a cozy corner table for 2. The host was super friendly and our waiter was also kind and attentive. We shared the whipped feta, warm squash dip, Brussels sprouts, beets, falafel and avocado crispy rice. All of the dishes were tasty and beautiful, but I was most pleasantly surprised by the avocado crispy rice! The standout here is the whipped feta, which is better than other local restaurants. I'd come here again for the feta alone! ....Okay for the feta and maybe to try some of the meat/seafood preparations.

Okay, this spot is it. Butcher & Bee in Nashville absolutely nailed that moody, vibey restaurant feel -- the kind where the lighting is just right, the music hits, and you instantly know you're in for a good time. It's definitely a hot spot (there's always a wait), but trust me, it's worth every minute. The food? Wow. I'm still thinking about those charred lion's mane mushrooms -- total flavor bomb. The squash dip with pumpkin and pomegranate seeds was next-level, especially with their unreal bread. Everything comes out course by course in small, shareable plates, which I love -- perfect for tasting everything without feeling like you overdid it. The Mediterranean-Indian fusion here just works. Every bite had layers of spice, texture, and flavor that kept me reaching for more. My falafels were crispy perfection, and I have to shout out their mocktail game -- so good! I really appreciate when a restaurant puts effort into their non-alcoholic options, and this one did not disappoint. Your bill comes tucked into a Nancy Drew book ! Loved that unexpected touch . Between the friendly staff, the beautiful decor, and the overall vibe, Butcher & Bee is officially on my must-visit-again list. If you're into moody aesthetics, shareable plates, and plant-based dishes that slap, this place is your jam.

The interior is absolutely stunning, it's dark but beautiful. We sat in the outdoor patio which was also beautiful and felt like a magical back garden. Our servers were so kind and friendly, they walked us through the menu, asked about allergies (we had 1 dairy free and 1 vegetarian) and then suggested dishes based on that. They were incredibly accommodating. I will say the food took its time to come out, towards the end we were tired of waiting lol. We ordered dishes family style, here's the breakdown -- Whipped feta (came with pita): rich, creamy with super soft pita. loved the honey drizzled on top! Warm squash dip: SO delicious. sweet, slightly spicy and so yummy with the crispy pita! my whole group was raving about this one we loved it. Spice it up: delicious! glad we ordered as we dipped pita in this + the dips. 3 diff shaves and actually spicy. Potato latkes: these were okay. they were a bit bland and kind of heavy. could've done without. Avocado crispy rice w/ chicken on the side: love the texture of the crispy rice, this is very different and the flavors were tangy! it was a bit salty for me and most of my group. chicken on the side was yummy (+ allowed us to accommodate our vegetarian person!) Mushroom shawarma: mushroom was chewy and smoky. the pita with labneh was refreshing (we were very full). didn't care for the freekeh that much. Banana crunch cake: this was on the house as we were celebrating my birthday! they brought it out with a candle which was so sweet. the dessert itself was SO GOOD. if you like bananas, definitely get this. it was sweet and salty. the base is a dense banana bread which i really liked but some of my friends wished it was more airy. Highly recommend (and def make a res)!

I have been to butcher and bee twice now since my last visit. We ended up doing the chefs selection which was a really nice way to put your trust in someone else to course out your meal. If its your first time at Butcher and Bee I would recommend doing this to figure out what style of food you like. As always, I love the support they show their employees and I enjoy knowing where my food is coming from especially since it is locally sourced. I know their menu changes seasonally (which is great because then we have more food to try), so I wont go too into detail but our mains were great! Service was on par. We got a two seater by the kitchen for one meal and then next time I went all three of us sat at the bar. I kinda liked sitting at the bar because we got to talk to the bartender.

Butcher & Bee in Nashville is a delightful food spot that blends creativity with local ingredients. The menu showcases Mediterranean influences with a Southern flair. I highly recommend the whipped feta. Service at Butcher & Bee is hit or miss depending upon the waiter or waitress. Mine actually forgot my whole order. It is still worth the wait for delicious food.

I've been here a couple of times now so I wanted to wait to give a review. The first time I went, I wasn't a huge fan of my dish, and that was my fault for not understanding the menu. However!! My most recent trip, everything was delicious. First, please do yourself a favor and add the spicy lamb sausage to your whipped feta. It's so so good. Also the cocktails are so good. I love trying new drinks when out and about, and these didn't disappoint. I suggest parking in the lot across the street from the front door. It's only a couple of bucks for a few hours, and way cheaper than the lot directly behind their building.

Just left this place. My meal was so delicious! I heard great things about it and had to try it before heading back to Chicago. Now, living in Chicago I am no stranger to delicious food. Equally, unfortunately I'm no stranger to what tastes awful. Lucky for me this was terrific!! This is where you want to eat! I wanted to try everything so I opted for the Chef's Choice, which is where they serve you staff favorites in little small servings per person. Service was excellent Bryce and Scott were awesome! I was served: The bacon wrapped date - Now hear me out, all bacon wrapped dates are good. This one? 10/10 The lamb bourekas - really great I was served two pieces so I stuffed one in my bag for later. Avocado Crispy Rice - crispy, flavorful, served with chicken that I didn't need. Otherwise this was terrific. Whipped feta - outstanding, cheesy unlike any feta you've ever had. Green Chickpea Falafel - decent a bit spicy I also had a kumquat cabbage mini salad dish with pomegranate and it was divine! One cocktail that was great the Woo Girl And for dessert I had the pumpkin pie Malabi smoked pecan dukkah. It was underwhelming because I'm a cake kinda girl but it was still flavorful.

I ate so many veggies during this meal and enjoyed all of them! We had the chef's course and had a great time trying dishes I probably would not have normally ordered (or at least not all of them)! Great value if you are coming with a group and can't decide what to get. I was not able to take pictures of everything as the dishes just kept coming and I lost track of everything that was brought out, but in general, the dishes were veggie-forward but not exclusively (we had some fried chicken that was very good). The menu is seasonal, so made differ when you visit, but my favorites were the squash and brussels sprouts. They were very accommodating of a gluten intolerance at our table and the staff thoroughly explained the components of every dish and reiterated throughout the dinner what was gluten-free and what wasn't. They provided substitutions when necessary. We additionally ordered the famous whipped feta. I am not even a cheese fan, but thought it was incredible. Super creamy and flavorful, it went perfectly with the pita. Definitely order this no matter what!

This restaurant was awesome! It was recommended to us by a friend who lives in the area. The restaurant was not too loud despite being full! I recommend a reservation no matter when you go. The food was so fresh. There's plenty of items here to accommodate vegans and vegetarians. Our server was very nice. It's great to get a bunch of items and share them. The whipped feta is to die for! Also really enjoyed the carrot cake for dessert.

What a ln impressive place!! Delicious food and wonderful ambiance. There was a delay in getting some of our food, but they were highly apologetic about it, without our having to ask or bring it up. Every bite, though!!! So yummy!

Man this place continues to excel. We brought a friend who is visiting from out of town and it was the best choice. The squash was delicious, and the crispy rice was unlike anything I've ever had. My cavatelli pasta was phenomenal and I made everyone try a bite. We will always come back!

Came in with coworkers and glad I decided to come out. It's a very cute vibe the aesthetic is very inviting. They have inside and outside that is covered partially and heated. It's like tapas style few large dishes. We tried the dates, whipped feta, puffed rice and avocado. Just try it all it's good even the mocktails. If you don't like something on the menu not sure wha to say. The staff very nice and friendly and everyone is helping out. I will return on my next trip to Nashville.

We arrived to the patio bar first and had a great experience with the very informative bar tender. She was helpful and made recommendations for us to choose from for dinner. Once seated, Katie came to the table with a bubbly and positive attitude (she was fantastic). She took our order quickly and stayed on top of the beverages. Now here is where the experience went from really good to top-notch--apps, dinner, desserts. Starters Caesar salad with spicy breadcrumbs was the best and most fresh tasting Caesar my husband and I have ever tasted... not too much dressing but very flavorful Truffle potatoes with truffle cream sauce and parsley powder came with a punch of savory flavor and a nice crunch wonderfully delicious. Only disappointment was there was not more! Mussels White Wine with freshly toasted local sourdough bread. The mussels were cooked perfectly and made with a perfect blend of citrus and garlic broth. Dinners Roasted Chicken Pesto Risotto was one of the most flavorful items of the night. Risotto cooked perfectly and the combination of ingredients matched perfectly. Pan seared Trout was the best dinner of the night, in my opinion. The corn and blend of dill and burre blanc was a magical pairing with the perfectly cooked Trout. So much flavor Dessert Cremeux olive oil cake was fresh and had a nice citrus flavor paired with chocolate cremeux and raspberries. Very unique but worth the try! Sticky Toffee Pudding So many flavors with this. This one was my favorite, but it was "if held hostage I would choose" situation because everything was so tasty! The server got the kitchen to make me a French Toast Bread Pudding even after the kitchen had stopped serving it for the day (brunch menu). All desserts are amazing! If you go to this hidden gem, prepare to have your tastebuds in overdrive! Wonderful service, amazing food and overall blown away experience! Didn't feel like I was right in the heart of bustling East Nashville - felt like a little retreat. The service was great and so patient with us as we were quite indecisive. Especially since it was a new menu and there were no pics online (then I totally forgot to take pics to help future yelpers not fall to my fate, alas!). I landed on the French Toast Bread Pudding. It was quite heavenly, but I do wish it was a bit bigger for the price... My friends both got the Avocado Toast and a few of us ordered sides of chicken sausage (and yeah, that was good and they were also a good size, plus 3 links were included in each order). We finished quite quickly but were in a deep convo about who knows what, but never felt rushed to leave (probs as it was kind of between service times, but still, appreciated). Def need to go back for Dinner and another little retreat!

The bartenders were very attentive and alot of fun to talk to. We opted for a non traditional meal choice and started with a bunch of apps and made it more of a small plate, tapas style meal. We were able to make a reservation a couple days before for a Saturday dinner. Staff was attentive and gave good suggestions. Everything was nicely plated and I think overall the dishes were good, but I didn't personally think I needed to have anything again per say. What we ordered: + smoked bone marrow - pickled red onion & parsley salad, smoked salt, grilled FM sourdough - generous to make sure we had 4 pieces, one for each of us, bread was toasted to near burnt, and I wish there was more herbs/onions to eat with + queso fondito - PRB chorizo, pumpkin seeds, cilantro, warm tortillas, escabeche - nice cheese blend, but I think it was missing some more oomph, I think I prefer the crunchy chip than tortilla + SM grilled 12oz bone-in pork chop - TN smoked cheddar mac and cheese, braised greens, TN chow chow - Not our favorite entree but I liked the cheddar mac + beef short rib stroganoff - Nicoletto's rigatoni, roasted onion, mushroom & garlic, sour cream - my favorite dish of the night! A unique way to present a classic dish and I thought it was delicious. + Empanadas - crispy exterior and good filling, the chimichurri was more oil-tasting than additional flavor + Gem salad with fried tomatoes - I like the fried tomatoes! I think a romaine would be better than the gem lettuce as it was a little soft. We were stuffed afterwards so this amount was plenty for 4 people. Price was also reasonable!

The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). It's my last night in Nashville so I want to go to a bang zoom restaurant. A few of my co workers have said to me: Mr Bill, we see every night you're going out to some amazing spots. Mind if we tag along? Sure, the rules are to keep your fork outta my plate when we sit down. Deal? The restaurant is very large, we're shown to our table. Set in the middle of the dining room and facing the bar. The bar can seat at least 25 people, the restaurant is set up for fun. To get our party started, I ordered a well crafted cocktail: Tea'd Up Old Fashioned Made with Bourbon, Black Tea and House Barrel Aged Bitters. Funky?? Oh yeah I'm with a bunch of Military Veterans and they're telling me their crazy stories. I'm sippin' my Old Fashioned and taking it all in, we need to bond over drinks and crazy things we all drank overseas. As an adult, I can appreciate my Nashville TN Old Fashioned with Black Tea. While we're talking, our waitress drops off a plate of homemade biscuits. The biscuits are fire! Buttery, flakey and moist, The Southern Steak & Oyster can make a damn good biscuit. Next, my Gumbo comes to me. The first taste I can tell this is a chef'd up dish. Better than anything I had in New Orleans. This gumbo is filled with Andouille, Crawfish, Shrimp and Fried Okra. Very flavorful indeed. My last entree in Nashville will be Fish 'N Grits. Fresh fish topped with Spicy Tasso Ham over Sweet Potato Grits and Bacon Braised Cabbage. This is a flavorful dish, the grits are very creamy and the cook on the fish was spot on. We had a great night at The Southern Steak & Oyster, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.

I have a tough time in writing this. I've been here twice. I can only write a Pros and Cons as I…read morewant to be fair Pros 1) selection of oysters is fantastic 2) the Shuckers really are carrying the bar seating 3) everyone is super nice Cons 1) now remember I was at the bar seating, Other than the shuckers and who I think are awesome. On one visit with only a few of us there our bartender disappeared for a good 20 minutes. Upon his return he was focused on everything but the 5 of us in the place until we finally had to ask to get service. The other visit everyone helped me but the actual server. Maybe this is a staffing problem, I don't know but being stuck for 20 minutes to order another drink with my meal is not acceptable. Although they had that check in my hand in under a minute and in under another minute to process. Again, super nicer people, but kind of oblivious. 2) Now let's talk about the kitchen. And I'm adding some input from the other diners because we all sat there waiting. - flavors are great, but the salt and spice level is overboard. I had the mushroom appetizer and nearly choked/coughed to death. I like heat but this was raw spice that overpowered the dish. And the salt about made my feet swell into balloons. Such a shame because the idea is great just poor execution - deviled eggs. Pass - BBQ Shrimp, sort of like the mushrooms right profile but overpowering - gumbo. Two other people had the gumbo and when I asked they said that too is just over spiced I want to like this place, but probably my last visit unless I just come for oysters. Sorry
