I was having a beer with a friend at Smith & Lentz and he recommended I finally try Butcher & Bee. Did not get reservations, so sat at the bar (a trick if you are going on a weekend night?). We just grabbed a few small plates and dessert, so this will not be a full review, but there is an excellent chef's menu at the cheapest chef's menu in the city. Atmosphere is great. Very elegant feeling, but not stuffy. Bar has comfortable seating. The cocktails are excellent and the presentation is excellent. I won't say a cocktail standout in Nashville, but a worthwhile menu to try out. The food is top notch. I was not as thrilled about the crispy rice as my friend, but the hummus and whipped feta are worth the trip. For dessert, we tried both the Peach Almond Malabi and the Ruby Pistachio mousse. I preferred the mousse, whild she was thrilled about the almabi. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I would love to return to try their brunch, as I hear it is excellent. I will definitely get back for another run.

Stunning restaurant tucked away Main Street. Both indoor and outdoor seating. (heard that the outdoor seating is heated in the winter so will def be back) Menu is smol but mighty!! Lots of greek inspired goodies with a twist. They even have some food "experiences" on the menu for larger parties. The feta dip is to die for & the cash roll was fabulous. Staff is warm and welcoming & our server had great recommendations. Loved the open kitchen concept & really enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching all the food come together.

Came here for Sunday brunch during my bachelorette. We sat on the heated patio and it was the most amazing vibe. We were exchanging witty little jokes and bits with our waiter. The food was great. Whipped feta definitely the way to go. The mimosas with the multiple juice types were great. I got the shakshuka which was amazing and the other girls were raving about the crispy avocado rice. Amazing time!

Absolutely amazing food and service, in a super cool atmosphere. They have options that allow you to try most of the menu, but come with an appetite. Keith was our server, such great energy and just fantastic. Would come back again and again. Delish.

Came here with a friend on a Saturday evening with a reservation. We were seated immediately in a cozy corner table for 2. The host was super friendly and our waiter was also kind and attentive. We shared the whipped feta, warm squash dip, Brussels sprouts, beets, falafel and avocado crispy rice. All of the dishes were tasty and beautiful, but I was most pleasantly surprised by the avocado crispy rice! The standout here is the whipped feta, which is better than other local restaurants. I'd come here again for the feta alone! ....Okay for the feta and maybe to try some of the meat/seafood preparations.

Okay, this spot is it. Butcher & Bee in Nashville absolutely nailed that moody, vibey restaurant feel -- the kind where the lighting is just right, the music hits, and you instantly know you're in for a good time. It's definitely a hot spot (there's always a wait), but trust me, it's worth every minute. The food? Wow. I'm still thinking about those charred lion's mane mushrooms -- total flavor bomb. The squash dip with pumpkin and pomegranate seeds was next-level, especially with their unreal bread. Everything comes out course by course in small, shareable plates, which I love -- perfect for tasting everything without feeling like you overdid it. The Mediterranean-Indian fusion here just works. Every bite had layers of spice, texture, and flavor that kept me reaching for more. My falafels were crispy perfection, and I have to shout out their mocktail game -- so good! I really appreciate when a restaurant puts effort into their non-alcoholic options, and this one did not disappoint. Your bill comes tucked into a Nancy Drew book ! Loved that unexpected touch . Between the friendly staff, the beautiful decor, and the overall vibe, Butcher & Bee is officially on my must-visit-again list. If you're into moody aesthetics, shareable plates, and plant-based dishes that slap, this place is your jam.

The interior is absolutely stunning, it's dark but beautiful. We sat in the outdoor patio which was also beautiful and felt like a magical back garden. Our servers were so kind and friendly, they walked us through the menu, asked about allergies (we had 1 dairy free and 1 vegetarian) and then suggested dishes based on that. They were incredibly accommodating. I will say the food took its time to come out, towards the end we were tired of waiting lol. We ordered dishes family style, here's the breakdown -- Whipped feta (came with pita): rich, creamy with super soft pita. loved the honey drizzled on top! Warm squash dip: SO delicious. sweet, slightly spicy and so yummy with the crispy pita! my whole group was raving about this one we loved it. Spice it up: delicious! glad we ordered as we dipped pita in this + the dips. 3 diff shaves and actually spicy. Potato latkes: these were okay. they were a bit bland and kind of heavy. could've done without. Avocado crispy rice w/ chicken on the side: love the texture of the crispy rice, this is very different and the flavors were tangy! it was a bit salty for me and most of my group. chicken on the side was yummy (+ allowed us to accommodate our vegetarian person!) Mushroom shawarma: mushroom was chewy and smoky. the pita with labneh was refreshing (we were very full). didn't care for the freekeh that much. Banana crunch cake: this was on the house as we were celebrating my birthday! they brought it out with a candle which was so sweet. the dessert itself was SO GOOD. if you like bananas, definitely get this. it was sweet and salty. the base is a dense banana bread which i really liked but some of my friends wished it was more airy. Highly recommend (and def make a res)!

LOVE THIS PLACE! The food was incredible! Every bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. The staff were so friendly and made the experience 10x more memorable. Ambience was beautiful and romantic!

I've been here a couple of times now so I wanted to wait to give a review. The first time I went, I wasn't a huge fan of my dish, and that was my fault for not understanding the menu. However!! My most recent trip, everything was delicious. First, please do yourself a favor and add the spicy lamb sausage to your whipped feta. It's so so good. Also the cocktails are so good. I love trying new drinks when out and about, and these didn't disappoint. I suggest parking in the lot across the street from the front door. It's only a couple of bucks for a few hours, and way cheaper than the lot directly behind their building.

I have been to butcher and bee twice now since my last visit. We ended up doing the chefs selection which was a really nice way to put your trust in someone else to course out your meal. If its your first time at Butcher and Bee I would recommend doing this to figure out what style of food you like. As always, I love the support they show their employees and I enjoy knowing where my food is coming from especially since it is locally sourced. I know their menu changes seasonally (which is great because then we have more food to try), so I wont go too into detail but our mains were great! Service was on par. We got a two seater by the kitchen for one meal and then next time I went all three of us sat at the bar. I kinda liked sitting at the bar because we got to talk to the bartender.

Just left this place. My meal was so delicious! I heard great things about it and had to try it before heading back to Chicago. Now, living in Chicago I am no stranger to delicious food. Equally, unfortunately I'm no stranger to what tastes awful. Lucky for me this was terrific!! This is where you want to eat! I wanted to try everything so I opted for the Chef's Choice, which is where they serve you staff favorites in little small servings per person. Service was excellent Bryce and Scott were awesome! I was served: The bacon wrapped date - Now hear me out, all bacon wrapped dates are good. This one? 10/10 The lamb bourekas - really great I was served two pieces so I stuffed one in my bag for later. Avocado Crispy Rice - crispy, flavorful, served with chicken that I didn't need. Otherwise this was terrific. Whipped feta - outstanding, cheesy unlike any feta you've ever had. Green Chickpea Falafel - decent a bit spicy I also had a kumquat cabbage mini salad dish with pomegranate and it was divine! One cocktail that was great the Woo Girl And for dessert I had the pumpkin pie Malabi smoked pecan dukkah. It was underwhelming because I'm a cake kinda girl but it was still flavorful.

I ate so many veggies during this meal and enjoyed all of them! We had the chef's course and had a great time trying dishes I probably would not have normally ordered (or at least not all of them)! Great value if you are coming with a group and can't decide what to get. I was not able to take pictures of everything as the dishes just kept coming and I lost track of everything that was brought out, but in general, the dishes were veggie-forward but not exclusively (we had some fried chicken that was very good). The menu is seasonal, so made differ when you visit, but my favorites were the squash and brussels sprouts. They were very accommodating of a gluten intolerance at our table and the staff thoroughly explained the components of every dish and reiterated throughout the dinner what was gluten-free and what wasn't. They provided substitutions when necessary. We additionally ordered the famous whipped feta. I am not even a cheese fan, but thought it was incredible. Super creamy and flavorful, it went perfectly with the pita. Definitely order this no matter what!

This restaurant was awesome! It was recommended to us by a friend who lives in the area. The restaurant was not too loud despite being full! I recommend a reservation no matter when you go. The food was so fresh. There's plenty of items here to accommodate vegans and vegetarians. Our server was very nice. It's great to get a bunch of items and share them. The whipped feta is to die for! Also really enjoyed the carrot cake for dessert.

I loved their whole take on Southern cuisine. From the confit wings in Alabama white sauce to their Bucksnort trout, to their Heritage pork--everything tasted delightful. Admittedly, the bright green sauce and saturated Carolina gold rice looked a little funny to me. But once I had my first bite I thought it was heavenly. The server was impeccable. He was courteous, quick, and helpful. I had questions about the menu and concerns about if the arrangement of dishes ordered were too much. I had 1/2 dozen raw oysters to start. My server helped me select which one we thought I would like best and they were amazing with the migionette. So fresh & cold & delicious. My son got the crispy brussels sprouts for his starter and devoured them. They were delicious with the best balance of flavors & textures. Also a nice generous portion. Wedge salad was so tasty. Entrees were scallops with the most delicious succotash, and rabbit ragu which was absolutely delicious. I can't say enough good things about our food and experience. Can't wait to come back! Oh and can't forget dessert.... The peaches & cream bread pudding 10/10!

They were packed when we arrived for our reservation and we were sat right away! The waitress was so kind and went over the menu and how they do there meats after knowing this was our first time at there. They have a butcher on site, their seafood is brought in daily and house made pasta. She said they even have a pastry chef. But we didn't make it to dessert this time. We ordered the cornbread appetizer that comes with hot honey and whipped butter. It's served in a little dish like a cake. It was tender with whole corn on the inside. We didn't realize they also bring complementary gluten-free cheese, puffs turnovers, and mini biscuits . Those were out of this world!! The cheese puffs pull apart and have white cheddar inside! The biscuits were perfect!! Our main course was the club carbonara pasta( house made pasta with chicken and bacon) and the steak frites (with chimichurri sauce). I got the Sauvignon Blanc it was fruity and fresh! The place was upscale and seemed to be a lot of larger parties. We will definitely be back.

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

I didn't actually love the wine I got but that's probably more personal preference. They did have two red options though.

Chicken dredge had a nice blend of dry spices and a small amount of sweetness. Fried well (still juicy). I feel like I can take a decent amount of heat, but my happiness level was at a medium. Hot, I could kind of handle but not ideal. Damn Hot was not a fun experience anymore. I got the Comeback Sauce which didn't really help with the heat since it's a little spicy itself. My friends ordered a side of BBQ sauce that was like a creamy BBQ sauce. It tasted pretty good, but a bit of an odd combo with the wings. The sides were really good. Out of the ones I tasted, I would order them: Pimento Mac & Cheese - cheesy goodness, pasta on the softer side, but still acceptable Black Eyed Pea Salad - a nice refreshing take on beans with a good hit of vinegar. Pairs well with fried chicken Cole Slaw - a pretty standard, but solid slaw Bacon Cheddar Grits - very cheesy, a little thinner than I was expecting Hattie B's knows what they're doing and are cranking out good food. Doesn't make sense to stand in line and not think about what you're getting. Lol I liked the communication of the staff because our food was going to take a little longer since they needed to fry a new batch of chicken. Food was amazing and definitely hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting.
