We were glad to find Gyroz within walking distance to our son's apartment and the DU campus. It was exactly the taste, quantity and for our late night dinner. We each selected a different protein for our sandwiches and while we didn't really want French Fries, we decided we wanted to try theirs and it didn't disappoint. Stopped by between DU graduation events for a quick bite and was impressed with this DELICIOUS food. We had a small group and ordered chicken and basic gyro combos. The chicken was our favorite. We've been looking for gyros that remind us of home for a while now. Chicagoland transplants say this is THE one! The price is absolutely right! The tzatziki sauce was thick and flavorful. A real treat! The actual gyro meat was sliced evenly which I appreciated. Mix in lightly seasoned French fries and our meal was complete. The pita bread was toasted perfectly and not overly dry. I used to frequent the Colfax and Iliff locations when I was in their areas before one opened on south University. The gyros and Greek salads are some of my favorites of the Greek restaurants around Denver. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is super friendly. Fairly standard fast food gyro. No garlic sauce of any kind. They say there are fries in the gyro. If you're lucky you'll get two. Online orders take a confusingly long amount of time to process which means they typically don't start it until you go to pick it up which is very annoying and borderline incompetent. So my daughter and I decided to stop and eat here while attending some sporting events at DU. I wasn't sure quite what to expect... but once we walked in the cashier was very pleasant and greeted us with a smile. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. And the booths are a great size and fit. Plus the food personally was amazing! Now I know not everyone will agree. My daughter had the #1 and I had the #3, plus we had a side on humus. The gyros were great from start to finish. The humus lacked a little flavor but over all was still good. It's brand new to the area around DU campus, and with all the sporting events we like to attend. This might just become one of our favorites. Go try it before you pass judgment. read more

The food is decent but certainly not worth 5 stars. The price is a little high for some fries that need more salt and gyros that are a little too simple. Overall the food needed more flavor/seasoning. I believe the only things they put on the gyro were meat, tomato, onion, and tzatziki(which was mediocre). The baklava was clearly prepared awhile ago and was not layered like traditional baklava should be. If they upped the flavor and lowered the price/ or widened their menu I'd give them 4 stars easily. read more

I've been here more times than I can count and that's because of the amazing service. I came in a few weeks ago and didn't have enough money on my card to pay (don't judge me, I'm a college student we've all been there!) and the employee gave it to me for free. My only complaint about Gyroz is that when I order my Gyro I order it without Onions, without Tomato's, and without Fries. And I always receive a pita with lamb. No feta, no tzatziki sauce.
