So, Home Depot contracted with this company "Home Solutions" to install the flooring that I purchased from Home Depot back in March of 2018. During the "1st install" the Home Solutions QA inspector found that their subcontractor didn't level the sub floor properly so they had to remove part of the flooring "2nd time" and then re install it. After a re inspection by QA, it was found that the subcontractor failed to properly install the flooring to industry standards, so the company sent out (2) of their BEST INSTASLLERS within the Home Solutions QA department to remove all of the flooring "3rd time" and then reinstall the flooring properly. This was July 2018. After the floor started buckling and separating in places, it was inspected by Home Solutions QA again. They found that the flooring was installed improperly and the floor needed to be removed and reinstalled PROPERLY A 4th TIME. This was determined in February 2019. They tried to get me to accept a refund and have another company redo my flooring but I found it was going to cost me more to correct their mistakes and they refused to pay the difference, so I compelled them to redo the flooring install and refused a refund. During the removal, they found that the QA installers had silicone the floor down in places and never properly leveled the sub floor. This is now June 2019. This time around, for no apparent reason, they decided to do a moisture test on my floor. Their test was done using a meter that was held together by tape and the battery was hanging out the bottom on wires that had the 9 volt battery connected by alligator clips. The guy drilled a hole in the concrete and stuck a nail into the hole (Yes a framing nail). He then took a reading and found my concrete to be in excess of 44% water content. They refused to install the flooring. They did however; offer to refund me my money again and for me to go somewhere else for my flooring to be installed. Again I refused and said they needed to do the job properly. As any homeowner would, fearing that I had a MAJOR water problem, I called a company that specialized in water abatement and damage repair and had them come out and inspect and test the slab and surrounding area of my house. They assured me that I DID NOT HAVER A WATER PROBLEM and my slab in no way had 40+% water content. If it did, he said I would see numerous issues with my foundation and house. When he was shown photos of how the flooring company had conducted the water test, he laughed and said it was done wrong and had no idea why they would use a nail to test water content of a concrete slab. I shared this information with the Home Solutions company and they again tried to get me to agree to accept a FULL REFUND FOR THE JOB, they even asked for a FREE COPY of the report that I PAID FOR!! I refused both the refund and to give them a copy!! I told them if they wanted the report, they could pay me for it. They then accused ME of being unreasonable and of holding up my floor install. They said that if I provided the report, we could move forward with the install... CRAZY!!!!! Bear in mind that during this whole process, I have had all of my furniture and belongings moved into my garage and have had no kitchen, living room, dining room to use and have been living in a construction zone. I have no use if the downstairs level of my house. Of course, Home Solutions doesn't care!! It is now within the hands of Home Depot management to resolve. Having this many issues with a floor install within a year is unacceptable!!! I would suggest everyone beware of this company. They are not trustworthy, do sub standard work and when the screw up, their solution is to offer or try and force a customer to accept a refund. It is their responsibility to do the work "Right the first time" and anything else is unacceptable. read more

I had bought some carpet at Home Depot to be installed in my house. The salesman was knowledgeable about carpet, but not with the computer, scheduling, ordering, etc. Long story short, the delays cause by their mistakes left us with an install date beyond our move-in date even with 5 weeks advanced notice. Fortunately, the install was not up to Home Depot (who I can't even get a return phone call from). It was up to HOM Solutions. Though the situation my wife and I were in was not in any way their fault, they took volunteers to do the install on a day that they were not doing installs, and bailed us out. The volunteers who showed up were Presley and Patrick. These guys were awesome. They got in there when they were supposed to and kept their heads down until they were done. They gave us choices we didn't know about on certain installations, such as the stairs, to make those as beautiful as possible. This new place of ours was actually 30 years old, so the floors had many squeaks in them that we thought would get covered up with a quick roll out. They spent so much [careful] time scraping and sweeping and ensuring that there was no dust, dirt, nails, or debris of any kind underneath the carpet and wound up pointing squeaks out to us that we were able to better screw down. We had transitional trim actually arrive while the carpet was being installed and learned that due to the size of the trim, the carpet actually needed to be moved further away from the adjoining wood floor. Without a blink, they pulled the carpet back, pried off the 20 feet of tack strips they had just nailed down (which they had to destroy in the process), and allowed us to install our transitions before they re-installed the carpet up to that area. They did the whole thing with kindness and understanding, again making up for mistakes that were not theirs. The finished product was beautiful. There's just no way in the world we could have been happier with what HOM Solutions pulled off. Our new carpet is wonderful, looks amazing, and our floors are as quiet as new ones now. The moral of the story; do whatever you can to work with HOM Solutions in your home. They masterfully solved every problem that they were handed and delivered exceptional quality. read more

Went through Home Depot for a carpet Installation. The installer, Anthony, was unprofessional, rude, and walked away without telling us a few minutes into the installation. When I called Hom Solutions they were condescending, rude, and the only way to get anything out of them is to call Home Depot and get them to talk with Hom Solutions, because they made clear that they don't think that their techs performance is their problem. Once the installer was re-scheduled, he once again walked away, leaving all of our furniture in our living room without letting me or the other homeowner know, letting us find out by calling the office. The office says that their techs don't need to tell anyone when they leave. Working with Hom Solutions has been a nightmare, from their techs to their regional managers. Do not trust them, do not trust Home Depot. I wound up canceling and going with Lowes, and I hope that at least one other person can be saved from going through what we went through. They are the worst company I've ever worked with, and they far surpassed my wildest imagination for just how unprofessional someone can be. I was blown away by how bad this company was, and if I could give negative stars, I would. Update: I did learn by having Lowes come in to begin finishing the job that Hom solutions messed up, that due to the room being wider than 15x15, they would have left a giant seam down the middle of the room by using 12ft carpet. I think that the issues with the installer being rude and walking off the job without telling anyone leaving our dining room and living room of our house unusable for Christmas forcing us to cancel on family who was flying across the country to come in was actually the better outcome than having them complete the job incorrectly. Based on my experience with them, it would have turned out worse if they had actually done the job, since Anthony would have done it wrong. read more

Several years ago we used our HD account to order basement carpet as they basement build out was almost done... picked out carpet, measurements all done and install was timely and complete... WELL things get worse a bit later. our basement carpet has stretched up to 4-5" in some areas.. we contacted HD and asked for a re-stretching appointment. We are NOT asking for a warranty job... we are willing to PAY... Hom Solutions contacted us two days in advance to confirm appt... they stated that NO furntiure would need to be moved by us.. would be done by crew.. measurements AND work would be done in same day/same appt... NOT... ONE man came, took " some" measurements and than left... we were called next day and told that our carpet was in SUCH poor condition, soiled, high traffic use that we would have to find a professional carpet cleaner... PAY for this service and than HOM Solutions would quote the stretching work... WHAT..this basement is barely used.. mother's suite during Alzheimers and passed away a few years ago... we were offended by HOM Solutions.. we complained to our local HD.. they talked to HOM.. no resolution.. i said i would rent a machine to clean/steam carpet but NO go... they refused to come back for any reason... We contracted with an independent carpet installer. Came today... cut almost 4-5" out of carpet to get carpet to lay down.. he stated he in 30 years NOT seen a carpet stretch that far.. he is clear that NO stretching was done in original installation...We took the cut pieces after stretching to HD and we compared it to ORIGINAL carpet swatch.. our carpet is in very very good condition with age and little use... We replaced all of the flooring in our house with new laminate flooring. We followed the guidance provided prior to the arrival of the install team to prepare the house and clear work areas. We had the pleasure of working with Ashley who was fantastic with communications. She worked hard to schedule this process on a time table that worked best for us. Once we were on the books, she kept us apprised of everything we needed to know up to the day of installation. She even checked in periodically during and after installation to check on us and make sure things were going well. The installation crew showed up on time and went right to work. We did a walk-through of the house and made sure we were on the same page with expectations. We had planned for the installation to take three days, but this team was finished in two! Having all of the flooring in your house replaced is a *big* job and really means the house cannot be lived in during that time. Hom Solutions and their contractors really helped minimize the time we were out of our house so that we could get back to our normal lives as soon as possible. The quality of the installation was first rate. I walk into my house now and I still cannot believe that this place is mine. I felt like getting floors installed through a big box store like Home Depot was going to be be a luck-of-the-draw type of thing. If so, I feel like we won the lottery. Next time we have a home improvement project, I know who I want on my team. read more

A follow up to my other entry on HOM Solutions: Well, they decided that after (3) attempted installs of the Life Proof Vinyl plank flooring that it could not be re installed... mostly due to the bad prep work from the previous attempts. HOM Solutions and Home Depot decided to install a tile floor in its place at their cost. I was assured that this was the best fix and was told that there would be no issues because tile floors are a straight forward install. They also said that the sub floor that was now unlevel due to their previous work would not be an issue because the mastic thickness and tiles would hide the imperfections. In a perfect world this would have been great BUT again there are issues. I have grout that is (3) different colors, places where you can see the mastic between tiles, they busted a hole in my wall from a door knob and there are issues with the trim install. You would think that at this point in the process with the issues I have had in the past, that they would have made sure to perform quality work and would have gone the extra mile to insure a quality job. Well, the saga continues. Now they are suggesting me taking more time off work so that they can.... again.... Come back and dye/stain the grout so it all matches and to address the other issues. How many times must I be inconvenienced by them in order to finally "Get the job done right the first time" or second or third etc. Totally unacceptable. read more

Looking for a company to totally screw your remodeling job? You're in the right place! As with the majority of people below I'm giving them the lowest rating possible. If I could give them a negative rating I would! - They'll over promise and under deliver at every opportunity but make up for it by sending you installers that show-up stoned and late. Said installers will then lie to you and try to steal from you as an added bonus! And they do such poor work that 90% of it will have to be warrantied! Of course the warranty work will be done by yet another crew of crappy installers! - How about the total inability to keep to any schedule? They turned a 2 week project into a 5 month catastrophe! And I'm still dealing with warranty claims from the poor work done by their installers. -The installers damaged my home every time they showed-up. There was damage to appliances, antiques and the interior and exterior. I've currently been waiting 3+ weeks for someone to come out and inspect 2 tiles that have already cracked! -And to "complete" your experience you'll get horrendous customer service from a bullying manager who blames you for everything and denies responsibility for anything! And she'll try to intimidate you and be passive-aggressive too! And then she'll delay the resolution of the damage claims...because she can. read more

Never in my life have I dealt with such unprofessionalism. From management to installer the service was abismal. They will do everything to not have to install your carpet even when your project costs over $10,000. I had to call the project manager 4 times every time i needed to talk to her just to get her to pick up the phone. Then I had to make two seperate installation dates because they do not bind the carpet for stairs which would have been nice to know when they did the measure. I asked them to cut the carpet for the stairs, the least they could do, during the first install, they say "ok we will." I have my general contractor who isn't doing any work that day meet the installer at the house to make sure it is done right. He asks the installer "Hey are you planning on cutting the carpet for the stair runner?" He says its not in his paper work. THEY LEAVE IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT A PHONE CALL OR TEXT. I made sure everyone doing work on this remodel was off sight which subsequently pushed back my ENTIRE remodel just so I could get them to agree to install the carpet that I HIRED THEM TO INSTALL and they STILL made up excuses not to do the work. I will NEVER use them again much less reffer them to a friend. If I could leave zero stars I would, this company is a pathetic excuse for an installer. read more

There were several issues trying to get my flooring purchased, waiting on a measure, then damaged product, wrong quantities sold, and no point of contact that was willing to help at he store. Then I got a call from Hom Solutions, the service expert empathized with my issues, and jumped into action. She was able to facilitate my credits due from the store, give me ETA's on my product, and went out of her way to make sure my installation was a priority for scheduling. The installers even worked into the weekend to get it done. I have dealt with a lot of contractors, and I have to say the installer was extremely thorough, professional, and did amazing work. They guided me through the install and explained what they were doing every step of the way. They called me the day of installation to just check in to make sure I did not have any questions, and then also the following Monday to make sure that I was 100% satisfied. Even though my initial experience wasn't seamless, Home Solutions was able to make it worth while by actually listening to me and making it happen. The store is a big company and as a customer I felt like I got lost in the shuffle. I love my floors, and am thinking about doing my lower level through their remodel division. read more

This company don't deserve a single star. Terrible, terrible, terrible.They lie, they don't show up, and they make excuses. I called them 9 times this morning when they opened at 7 to check on my window. None ever answered. Finally someone did and said I should have received an email, which I didnt. They read off the wrong email address, even though they had the right one we used previously. Eventually I was given a window from 8-10am. At 10 Abbey called to say they messed up and the install window is from 9-11. At 10:51 an installer calls and says he will be here in 15-20 minutes. At 11:25 Abbey emails to say that the installers dad just passed away and he cant make it til Wed. I immediately canceled the entire order with Home Depot. I emailed back to Abbey and said I was canceling and she said "Ok thanks" You would have to be a complete fool to believe that a death occurred coincidentally with all this. I guess this happens when your a small job. Their website and email signautre claims to concentrate on customer service, but that is the farthest from the truth. DONT BE FOOLED by their BBB rating, those are paid for. Do your own research and see all the 1 star reviews and refuse to use them through Home Depot read more

0 STAR! DON'T EVER SHOP AT HOME DEPOT AND DON'T USE HOM SOLUTION SERVICE. Don't waste your time and money!!!! The 5 stars veviews is probably from a manager of this company. I had a carpet and vinyl flooring installation order with homedepot more than 2 months ago, and they scheduled for my vinyl floor installation last week. I had to ask my boss for a day off to stay home to let the installer guys in for floor installation. Jessica called me on afternoon of the day before and told me that they couldn't install the vinyl on that day and reschedule me to the week after. I had to get another day off work. Again, this time is even worse, the installer no call no show. After 30 minutes of the time window they've given me, I called them to ask them why nobody showed up for my vinyl installation. The Lady put me on a 10 minutes hold, and then hang up. She called back and told me that she cannot reach the installer, and reschedule it for the next day. This had reached my limit, I can't ask for another day off from work just to sit and wait for another reschedule phone call. I called the store and cancel everything. Now I have to rent a truck and return the materials to them. What a waste of time and money! read more

Ok... this story is long but the cliff notes version is what you all will get ... I ordered carpet and install through HOME DEPOT for the house we have since moved in to(9-22-21) and initially it was a painless experience. However that soon changed through no fault of HŌM SOLUTIONS. HOME DEPOT and its "MANAGEMENT" staff royally screwed up and screwed me because of it. Luckily for me JACQUE SANCHEZ from HŌM SOLUTIONS called(9-20-21) the day prior to the 2nd assumed attempt to install the carpet(9-21-21) to verify the install date. *this is the edited part of the story for time sake(this is where HOME DEPOT completely screwed up) * after hearing the difficulties JACQUE went above and beyond to help ensure the carpet would be installed before our move.... and it was! YAY! she truly encompasses what CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE AND ONCE WAS!! I won't soon forget JACQUES compassion to the situation and her diligence to get everything resolved quickly and satisfactory. THANK YOU JACQUE and BRITTANY and the whole team at HŌM SOLUTIONS! BUYER BEWARE!! I purchased new flooring for my entire condo through Home Depot and had to use Home Solutions for the install. From beginning to end, it was a disaster. Home Solutions lied to me and the installer about a curved section of my flooring. When the installer came he said that he wasn't aware of the curve and he wouldn't be able to finish it to look professional. Home Solutions told me that the only option I had left was to remove all the tile ($$$) and buy more flooring. I cancelled my entire order, and to add insult to injury, Home Depot penalized me with a 15% restocking charge as well as a pick up charge and told me that they wouldn't waive the fees because "they can't control what Home Solutions does". If you buy flooring from Home Depot DO NOT USE HOM SOLUTIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION. Very unprofessional and argumentative company. The woman I had to work with -- "my flooring expert", was argumentative, talked over me and would not listen. Please think twice before using HOM SOLUTIONS. read more

We are extremely satisfied with the way Juan handled the entire carpet installation from start to finish. He has great attention to detail and wanted to make sure that the job was done correctly the first time. As Juan begin to review where the seems were to be put, he realized that the other company (Home Depot) that took the measurements for the basement were incorrect. The amount of carpet that he was provided by the other company was short by about a foot short. Instead of giving up, Juan found a way to move the seems of the carpet into lower traffic areas as well as making the carpet that we had fit the whole space. He communicated with us throughout the whole process and was very respectful.We would highly recommend Juan and HOM Solutions for any carpet installation job! read more

We purchased carpet from Home Depot. They use HOM Solutions to install.Had a little delay getting carpet in, but once it arrived we were quickly added to the schedule to install. The arrival time was set between 10 am and noon, but Miguel called around 8:30 to ask if he could send someone ahead to get started while the rest of the crew finished a smaller job. I was happy to let him send his man early and oh my, he was great. Amazing how much he got done before the others arrived. I had expected the job to last several hours, but with the early start they managed to finish much earlier than expected. They put furniture back and the early man stayed to finish the stairs. He even found the back to one of my earrings. Great job, very respectful. read more

I ordered our flooring for the lower level of our home from Home Depot. Within one working day, I was contacted directly by HOM Solutions, via email and by phone, and was given a name/contact of someone directly at HOM Solutions who would be in charge of my installation (which I appreciate having). I was kept in the loop throughout the process. Dates/times of the installation was exact, and my installer showed up on time. He cleaned up, took away all excess trash, and didn't seem at all bothered when I checked in on him a couple of times throughout the day. Last but not least, I received a personal call the following day from HOM Solutions to be sure that I was satisfied with the final result. Could not have been an easier process. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Home Solutions carpet installer caused significant damage to my new baseboard. They sent a repair person out, but their repair quality was completely inadequate. They patched the gouges but did not sand the patches smooth before attempting to repaint. They missed many of the gouges that were specifically pointed out. The gouges they said the fixed, need to be sanded, re-patched, and repaint. To repair all of the scrapes and gouges the repair person missed required repainting all of the baseboard. They refuse to provide any compensation beyond sending the initial repair person, despite the fact the repair person did not repair the damage. DO NOT USE HOM SOLUTIONS. read more

My wife and I are extremely happy with the quality of customer service and workmanship we received. Scott the installer did a beautiful job and took great pride in his work when he was about finished I was willing to help him clean up some of the scraps and vacuum to show appreciation for his quality but when I asked if I could he told me No that's my job and for me to take it easy. I couldn't believe it I thought to myself this guy is Awesome!! we have future projects and I definitely will use this company again. sincerely John and Annette Kish read more

I have to say I'm surprised on the reviews I see since I had a wonderful experience with this company. Home Depot was the problem for me. Valerie helped me a lot and took care of the questions I had. When my flooring FINALLY came in at Home Depot we set up a date and they showed up on time, were very professional, and had a very good attitude. I'm in New Mexico in the 4 corners area. I would recommend them to anyone around here looking for a carpet and vinyl install. They were extremely fast and efficient. My new floors look amazing! Sad to see some people had issues though.
