As I approached the counter I was thrown off by the mess, crumbs and trash. A dirty towel thats on the counter and used and dirty. Assumed she is using it but not to clean with as its a mess and dirty. I looked and the order that was with veggies in a black container... she picked a couple pieces of tomato up from prep area and put them into the container then moved it to the back counter. It wasnt any customers inside nor cars in the parking lot. This should not be this filthy. With this beimg said, I did not order nor purchase anything. It's not everyday you get great customer service at a chain sandwich spot. This is my go-to Jersey Mike's. It was clean and welcoming. I was greeted tonight upon entry. I placed an order on the app and let them know I was there for pickup. They immediately began making it and checked in if I needed anything while I waited. Unfortunately they were out of the rosemary parm bread due to an earlier rush. The gentleman rectified the issue by giving us two fountain drinks. That was so nice! Really good subs and they make them to order and as you want them. I almost always get a steak and cheese sub. Today I didn't want the cheese, and they made it without for me and I never get it with mayo. I added lettuce, tomato, pickles and some hot peppers and it made for a delicious lunch. This was my first time at a Jersey Mike's. I ordered a #65 - (Portabella Chicken Cheese Steak). It was delicious. I got there 10, minutes before the lunch crowd and didn't have to wait long for my sub to be made. Even people that came during peak lunch time didn't wait long. I read other reviews that said service was too slow. I did not find that at all. Jersey Mike's slices coldcuts fresh for each order and my hot sub was cooked from scratch. It wasn't precooked and just thrown in some kind of cheap oven to re-heat it. The other fast-food sub shops have cheap quality pre-cut and pre-cooked food and they just slap it on a roll. Woefully inefficient, but great food. The difference in pace between this location, and my college's own Jersey Mike's, is just astounding. Back at my school they are able to get a customer's sandwich made and ringed up in about one minute. But here, they took about three minutes and twenty seconds on average to get through a single customer (with time starting with the first piece of bread being laid on three cutting board). This difference is remarkable, and made for an unnecessarily long wait time. 6 people in line in front of me took twenty minutes. That'd have taken less than 6 minutes back at my school. There must be a more efficient way to do things here is the bottom line, but their food is just as good as expected. read more

Love Jersey Mike's the subs are as close as you can get Jersey or Philly hoagie. They aren't sparse on the cold cuts which are sliced in front of you. I go to the one near my house everyone that works there are very nice and they are young people. The food was cooked fresh in front of me (big +) and the service was fast. It was juicy and filled with flavor. The provolone cheese melted so beautifully and really sealed the deal for me. My wife and I were very clear to the boy taking our order about what we wanted, but he failed miserably in relaying our order to the boy making it. Eating here a few times a month and seeing some of these reviews, something obviously didn't match up. This place is a great place for a quick sub. There is definitely plenty of meat portions on all the subs, and if you're unhappy with the quantity they give you, just tell them. The store itself can be messy sometimes after a huge lunch rush, but I completely understand how it can be hard sometimes to maintain cleanliness during busy hours. The food always comes out correct, it's never mushy, only gets that way if it sits in the to go bag for an hour before eating. The wait time can be long, there are usually about 3-4 people in line and takes about 2-3 minutes per person so you have to be somewhat patient as it's not a McDonald's. Employees are friendly and competent. This place doesn't deserve half the bad rep it gets, keep up the good work guys. read more

Okay, I understand why did slice the meat in front of you. It's so you know the cold cuts are fresh; unlike the meat you get at Subway. I think if they pre-cut a supply of meat to get through the lunch rush and dinner rush it would be just as effective a selling point and would really speed up customer service without sacrificing quality. I was in heaven with the bread, a nice crispy Italian hard roll... Something I haven't had since I was a kid growing up in New Jersey. If I could I would buy just the rolls and have bread and butter, YUM!!! I had the mini Italian and quite frankly there's nothing mini about it. It's still more than a normal serving! I love the fact that they use a knife to spread the Mayo instead of Subway's squirt bottle which always puts gobs of mayo on the sandwich.
