Long time customer of H&H but something has dramatically changed with the office staff.

Called them first thing in the morning to come check out my dishwasher which wasn't draining well. Lucikly Same day service was available, off course I had to wait 4-5 hrs for tech to come out. Technician was really professional and knew what he was doing bc I had done everything he was doing the night before to fix the dishwasher on my own and had failed lol. I was too Nervous to mess with the drainage pipe myself as I had expected that issue could be there. He found the problem in the drainage pipe as well. He didn't leave till he tested the dishwasher few time. It was up and running. Charger $115. I will call them again plus they were local to me as I reside in Ripon as well. read more

Washer was making grinding noice , called H & H and they came out to find that our gear case had gone out on our 3 year old Maytag, yes warrenty was expired and Out of Pocket was over the moon : However, David did a ton of research and we contacted Maytag. Results were not a good one with Maytag , however the time and effort H & H put in to help us was above and beyond . Thank you for making a very bad situation an easy and bareable issue. read more

Kudos to H&H Appliance! I had a problem with my gas dryer at 4:15 pm . I had self-diagnosed the problem as the igniter. Called H&H and told them my problem and said I needed an igniter, because it had a intermittent heating problem. He told me he thinks it's a problem with the coils on the gas valve. Being as I figured he was the expert. I asked if he had the part in stock. He checked and he did. Now it's 4:35pm they close at 5:00pm . I tell him I'm on my way from Manteca. With traffic at that time on a Wednesday . I show up at 5:15pm and they are still waiting for me! Thank you! When got home installed the coils my dryer it worked perfectly! Great customer service and pricing with H&H. I thoroughly researched washer/dryer sets and had specific requests. H&H ordered, received, and installed them within 10 days. Hauled my 25+ year old washer/dryer away. I love these. Plenty of water, great clothes "roll over" with the agitator and dryer gets stuff dry fast. I can wash and dry a load in a little more than and hour. I'm very happy with the product and with H&H. I do not hesitate at all recommending them. H and H came to my home, looked at my two appliances and told me neither one could be repaired as the fuse for my double oven couldn't be ordered, too old, and the gas stove was a puzzle. He had never seen the gas flame look like it did. I asked if he could talk to the warranty insurance company and tell them this. He said he would. The boss back at the shop said he shouldn't have promised that and refused to allow it. So called Liberty Repair. Within minutes I had a replaced fuse and the food that was blocking the gas igniter was cleaned. H and H was polite, friendly, (well not the lady on the phone saying he shouldn't have promised to talk to the warranty company). I called them out to look at my dishwasher before Thanksgiving. He came out and charged me $80. The repair man asked me to try something and get back to him. I called after I did what was asked and repair man was supposed to research it and call me back and never did. I made five phone calls total with promises for someone to get back to me and nobody ever did. The day he was here said most likely I needed a new motherboard. After waiting over 4 months I called another repair man out from another company and that all I needed was a new damper. Then to top it all off beginning of March I get a phone call from H&H telling me I had a tag open and wanting to know if my case was still open or closed. Very disappointing read more

Whose dryer goes out on NYE Day ? Ours did! I drove down to H&H and talked to the guy behind the desk to see if they could look at our dryer. He said, sure bring it down. I'm thinking the repairs will have to be more than this dryer is worth. I dropped it off thinking this could really be a expensive fix. We've been calling upon H&H for our last 2 unrelated repairs and they're always awesome! Jerry, David, David Sr. and more - they're so personable and show true care for us. This "small" shop (compared to big chains like Sears & Home Depot) has the best service by far than any big name chain. Our fridge died. We were planning on buying one from H&H, however, after I compared the price with big companies I found Sears to have a similar choice for less. So I went with them. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Won't bore you with the details but Sears failed us in a gargantuan way. 3 weeks later still no fridge, we went back to H&H. They delivered a new fridge to us the next day and removed the old broken one! No hassle, just kindness, professionalism and excellence! (The Modesto one didn't get back to us for two days and when we called them back, they hadn't even put in the request. They said they would call Ripon since they usually service Salida. SERVICE is definitely not an important characteristic for this company. To call them RUDE is an understatement. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for service today. Last week the tech called to say he was on the way. I called the office to remind them that he SHOULDN'T be on the way because he was a week early. I confirmed that I was scheduled for today from 2 - 5 p.m. She agreed and we disconnected the call. Today @ 9:30 a.m. the tech calls again to say he's on the way. I called back to say no, my appointment is for 2-5 p.m. That rude, nasty, service-challenged woman that answered the phone argued with me. She claims she would call the tech and call me back. It's 6:01 p.m. No call from the tech. No calls from the office. I loathe H & H and SURELY if the property management company wasn't paying this company, I would NOT ever use them - for ANYTHING. read more

We recently had our dryer stop working and after an attempt at repairing it myself, we had to call in the professionals. H & H called ahead the day of the service and arrived when they said they would, which is more than most service companies! Our service tech quickly diagnosed the problem, a wire that was rubbing on the barrel and had shorted out, and had us back up and running in less than 20 minutes! He even only charged us for the service call, with no surprises!! We will definitely call H&H next time we have a problem!!! read more

Chris at H & H went above and beyond finding a part I needed for my refrigerator. I stopped by to find a start relay for a brand of refrigerator that they don't service, but instead of brushing me off, Chris said he would research and try to find the part I needed. About an hour later he called and said he had a relay that would work, and sure enough it did! I was able to fix my refrigerator myself and it just cost $15.00 so thanks to H & H appliance you did great! read more

So, scheduled these guys to come out back in December to check on my 2 year old washing machine because the water was not draining. Guy comes out spends 20 minutes and re-levels the machine. I wasn't home, the babysitter was so I was pretty surprised to find out they didn't actually repair anything but still charged me $80 for service call. They never bothered to actually run the machine through the cycle to check if it was repaired because later that day I try to run it and it had the same problem, error code and washer not draining. They return a week later, because they were busy, and this time I was home. The service guy determines that it was a faulty water pump and that it would cost $180 to repair on top of the $80 I spent already, no problem. We decide to wait because I thought I was going to have time to repair myself. Been very busy and lost track of time, call back because I knew I wasn't going to have time to deal with it myself. They tell me because it's been longer than 30 days, even though the washer has sat unused that it would be another entire service call and they would have to re-diagnose it again. I just wanted it fixed so I tell them no need just bring the part and let's schedule it to be fixed ASAP. I work in San Francisco and had to wait until I got home the next day to give them the model of the washer because they lost the original invoice and quote, and acted as if I did something wrong by not saving it. Called them back the next day and again, got the run around but this time they added that the service would not be guaranteed because they weren't going to "diagnose" it again. Which is fine, but there is no reason their work would not be guaranteed just because they didn't diagnose something again that they already diagnosed, their work should still be guaranteed regardless. Customer service was awful and a bad experience all around, won't be using them. read more

RUDE. Spoke to a gentleman about a freezer and he was so rude. Will never take my future business to the place.

My dryer started screaming so loud you could hear it outside when running. Went on You Tube to see how to fix it and what parts needed. Went to H and H got all the parts at reasonable price that I could buy on internet. Even showed me repair on a tore down machine. Went home and fixed it!! The very next week had a tub seal go out on washing machine. Again went on You Tube to diagnose and see what parts were needed. Went to H and H again got parts at competitive price. Even let me borrow special wrench to get tub off so I did not have to buy one. Now my oven won't light, back to You Tube to diagnose and see what parts are needed. Back to H and H for new igniter and advice. Replaced igniter but still doesn't work?? Double ck everything and find the igniter I just bought is bad! Take back to H and H and they look at it and say "Yes it is a bad one, here is a replacement"! No hassel at all. Back home put it in, oven fires right up!! Friendly service, great advice, and good prices even compared to Internet!! read more

Horrible customer service! Would never recommend using their services. Had their representative come out to repair my trash compactor. He was prompt and kind and I think he may have even cleaned my compactor, so initially I was pleased with this company's service. After he completed the repair, I asked how long they guaranteed their work. Was told 90 days. The compactor broke again, same problem, 25 days later. Unfortunately, it was the day before Thanksgiving and I had company and was very busy. Since the representative had told me about the 90 day guarantee, I waited until after the holiday to call back. 34 days after the initial repair, I was told I was mistaken, the 90 day guarantee only covered parts. I couldn't believe they wouldn't honor their labor, considering it broke down during the holidays. The lady at H & H was very rude and unsympathetic. Called another company and had to pay them to come the second time to really fix the compactor. I was told the screws were not tightened down and that was causing the problem. What a joke. This company obviously doesn't take pride in their work if they are going to nit-pick over a few days on their guarantee, especially during the holiday season! read more
